Hm, I guess it's possible, but that has no priority for me at all since it isn't a PS2 (or Xbox or whatever) feature. There is still so much stuff I want to do.

This light effect (texture?), can someone check on PS2 if it's any smoother? I tried some videos, and it does seem smoother, but I don't know, can be youtube compression or something

It would be really great to have it regardless it's not a PS2 feature. Having more option/scripts is always better than not.

I always liked the SA PCSX2 version than the PC version filled with mimic blur. But playing only the PCSX2 version is not really the way to go.

That seems to be texture related maybe, but I wouldn't know, some textures with gradients in this game look really crappy no matter the resolution.

Could you separate the grass dual-pass from the "dualPassDefault" setting again? I like the dual-pass on the club lights but having it on the grass causes frame skipping in my machine for some reason.

_CP_: what do you mean by draw distance of reflection? Vehicles always render with the new pipeline no matter the distance. Or what do you mean?

Sometimes reflected objects on a vehicle flicker , IIRC, Virgo is one of these vehicles.

Ah, that's actually a problem with frustum culling though. The objects are culled for the regular camera but the reflection map is rendered by camera that looks straight up, so it has a different frustum. I don't know how this should/can be fixed :/

DXT sucks when it comes to gradients. Sometimes even PS2 4bpp textures look better than DXT compressed.

Well, PS2 seems mostly done now, no? Haven't looked at night- and thermal vision in SA yet though, are they still different? What about parked cars (see SilentPatch thread)? What's the problem with these? What else is missing still?

 

Xbox and especially mobile are different of course, there's a lot of stuff in there that's not implemented yet.

 

Apart from these there are of course models, textures and such that need conversion. I've done some good work on librw in the last couple of days and weeks for that.

I hope you can port the GTA IV engine to SA too.

 

Also don't forget to port GTAV engine to SA with the ragdolls physics from GTAIV. And also GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories PSP to PC.
