in fact it remains in Ocean docks, I only said that position to be more specific, because if I had only said "Ocean Docks" you would have asked me to specify in which part of Oceans Docks take the screenshot

Seems to be those white warehouses that are everywhere around Ocean Docks, or maybe the bug "works" with any metallic gate with alpha texture?

alpha error attacks again, it should not be surprising that something like that has not yet been solved, although of course there is always an easy way out, although it may not be as easy as they thought, (or maybe it's easier than they thought)

Alpha bug isn't fully fixable as far as I know but a workaround can be done as the already implemented dualpass in skygfx. Weird thing is your game, has that alpha bug so noticeable, I haven't checked how it looks in my game at that place though.

Maybe the alpha error may not have been completely solved (yet), but you could also implement the same solution that I apply War Drum for the Mobil port.

That's how it looks on PS2 if I remember correctly. Seems fine then and not a bug?

with the last beta release of Skygfx in skygfx.rockstarvision.com the error seems to have been solved, although I think that my configuration in Skygfx.ini had something to do with that, I do not know exactly what I edited to solve it, but it is solved

Yup, it's exactly like on PS2.

I've taken this screenshot with skygfx build dated Jul 25th, 2018 (before TAG's droplets changes)

Docks have that one part near the beach though where you can look through the cranes and buildings from a specific angle. The only glaring alpha issue I've ever noticed for SA.

true, there has been a lot of progress in the development of Skygfx throughout November, in the case of the alpha error, I suppose you could do the same as War Drum did in the mobile version, they simply gave up all that alpha testing, and only they did alpha tests with thresholds in 127, well, something like that I read in another thread, I do not know how to really explain it, maybe they can try to replicate it in skygfx as they have already done with other features

If you're talking about loooooooooooooong tall fence near the freeway - this bug exists and looks exactly the same way on the PS2.

So I'm hitting forums and I'm spreading like a plague in quest of finding out details about this particular case where Ryder's home interior is clearly illuminated in a way never again seen on any platform and version. As far as I can see and tell, this is how Ryder's home interior was initially illuminated on PS2 during "Ryder" mission (seen in Gamespot PS2 video review), or possibly we could be seeing beta stuff here (?). If anyone knows anything about this, or especially how to " turn it on " - no pun intended - let me know.

Si alguien sabe algo sobre esto, o especialmente sobre cómo "activarlo", sin intención de hacerlo, hágamelo saber.

I know it has nothing to do with the subject, maybe in the beta the interiors had dynamic specular light, or something like that, I do not know exactly how many resources can consume add dynamic light in the interiors, maybe they eliminated it so that the game does not consume many resources on the PS2

In that trailer there were many things in beta, like helicopter rotors

Certain, some things of the beta have been restored by some modders although they are only theories and assumptions of how they would look in the game since many of these additions were really only left in previous ideas that did not reach the beta.

EDIT: why do we talk about the beta version in a thread about graphics? we can discuss the version in threads dedicated to it

I wanted to post this question in Beta topic as well but that topic was closed due to heavy spam.

The reason I post it here is mainly because it is related to PS2 graphics in a way - since this exact scene was seen in a Playstation 2 review of San Andreas.

And secondly, because there is always many experts and insightful people. The reason I mentioned beta in the first place is 'cause this cannot be seen anymore on PS2. Honestly, I was weighing a lot whether or not to post it, I really hope I ain't spamming.

In short, any way to turn this on?

As I can imagine they only have motion in NFS Carbon due to camera and movement as happens in GTA, isn't?

Well, that's a little bit of sense, it's a pity that this thread is closed because of the users who made spam in a thread as important as that, the closest thing we have now on a thread related to the beta version, is the thread of TTDISA

Yeah, that's why I was constraining myself from posting it here despite the fact it is indirectly related to PS2 graphics after all and, 'cause as every other honest member I hate spam. Furthermore, at first I thought it was indeed a regular PS2 feature, because I didn't know or I couldn't have known that review for a game that has been already released at that time is (partially) based upon beta content, strange to say at least. I figured that out only after I saw regular PS2 gameplay and my own PC/PS2 modded version. I'll check that thread out and see if someone can help me there, thanks!

What's that bug exactly? A screenshot or a video for comparison would be nice.

Don't think so, I committed all the changes last week. If it's the one related to distances, there's not much can be done without affecting droplet appearance on boats etc.

@ThirteenAGits not related to distance, its a bug where "new portion" of droplets appear AFTER all the previous droplets are gone from the screen... which is a bug new droplets should appear when the old one are fading away, this bug happends randomly

Well, I remember something like this happened and asked aap to look into it, but I couldn't reproduce it last time I tested it.

Movement in carbon is achievable, but incorrect. 😶

I don't want to touch rendering specifically, it's better that aap handles it how he sees fit.

Yeah, but it looks weird. Perhaps limiting the movement will help, like this for example.
