SkyGfx: PS2, Xbox and Mobile graphics for PC

Yeah, now every minute, every single second The Hero spent trying to make SkyGFX work on XP (for you, personally) has turned into waste. Nice job.

Well, if I will ever go back to XP (which is slightly more likely), then this mod will come in handy.

So, it's not a waste.

Gotta question. In GTA SA, is it necessary to use entire v1.0, or 1.0 exe should work fine?

Okay. Maybe this helps someone in the future.

There are at least two v1.0 hoodlum .exe's. Both from 07.06.2005 but one was saved on 18:59 and second at 23:52. This slightly newer file caused the problem. Also this older file is a little smaller. It has 14,047 KB in explorer while newer has 14,049 KB.

So, just check the date and file size if something won't work.

Greetings.

EDIT. Lol. The .exe that I used before was from 08.06.2005 00:52 xD.

Ye one is European and the other is US, not sure if maybe lack of language files was the problem or just mod incompatibility with EU exe. Also from which version have you downgraded? (since you asking if whole 1.0 version is required.)

I wasn't sure about version that I have. It is v1.0, so that's not a problem. exe that I'm using right now should be US.

Hey. Can you make the adjustment of reflections on each vehicle or maybe turn off reflections on the chosen vehicle? For example, reflections on Rhino look ridiculous. In any case, I'm just curious to know if it's possible to do so.

Most interesting things it is mobile-like vehicle rendering, detailed textures and shadows. High-quality models looks just awesome with this stuffs. Seriously, why nobody of who can make it doesn't made it yet.

@The_Hero, you could add reflections on cars like Xbox in the next versions of Skygfx in GTA SA

That's already been done, that's what the Neo Vehicle Pipe is.

I know, but to see them for a long time, I realized that only the buildings and some trees are reflected, but the roads are not reflected, I personally think that the reflections are not very good, although it is the best thing for now.

That's how they work on GTA III and Vice City in the Xbox, and that's how they work in SA too because they are straight ported with minor differences.

I guess it's fine, although I still do not know why the roads are not reflected on the surface of the cars

Because the camera points UP, the roads are UNDER the car, that's how these reflections work.

Well I guess that answers some of my questions

The other thing is SA's render order is borked :p

It's why some things are reflected and some aren't.

So nobody know how to fix this bug on transpaerant object?

https://imgur.com/1g3BY80

I have bug like this on all objects with transpaerant/alpha channel etc, you can see the bug happening on fence. Some advice to fix or minimize this affect would be great. This only happen alot when I use Skygfx, without it not as bad.

Just the infamous alpha bug. Not fixable (or at least, no one found a definitive fix).

There have been many users who have managed to successfully solve this f*cking bug

but I have never seen any publish a mod that fix this error, in any page, or in any forum

Well, I guess these guys are expert moderators

@LaDiDa

Yes I see... but many people use this SkyGfx and I dont see them with this same issue even as bad as this as you see on mine screenshot... it even comes bad with vegatation, Guess people keep the "fix" for himself.

But i dont understand why option is given for twopass and the other rendering if both are broken.

You can't just fix the alpha bug. It's also not something that nobody has figured out yet, it's just not possible to magically fix it. This has nothing to do with GTA either, it's just the way blending and depth test is done on today's 3D hardware. Of course there are ways to make it way less noticeable, but that requires non-trivial changes to the renderer, which is the reason I haven't attempted anything yet.

Hello! I have two questions on skygfx, can anyone know ...

1. In the latest version, when the parts fly away from the car, they become either green or pink.

Previously, this was not. If anything, it costs IVF.

post-91064-0-92225000-1520069210_thumb.j

2. For some cars, if the effects are not set by the PC, semi-transparent extras are visible.

post-91064-0-61596500-1520069458_thumb.j

Is it possible to do something with all this, reconfigure, or is it glitches?
