SkyGfx: PS2, Xbox and Mobile graphics for PC

Try to remove III.VC.SA.WindowedMode.asi if you have it. It tends to randomly cause crashes for me too.

Some workaround for this? Or any real fix?

I want to use TAG's windowed mode plugin with skygfx, but if color correction filter is enabled it crashes.

use 0.075 if you only want reflections on vehicles with enb series (or the Neo setting in skygfx since it's a lot more accurate, no road being reflected on the roof of your car :p).

 

Yea that doesn't work very well with my low graphics laptop. Thanks anyways.

 

If ur PC can't RUN SkyGFX with High Settings Whats The Damn Use Of ENB...?

How about posting some minidumps and modloader logs? Windowed mode hooks everything upon startup, so why would it crash after that, let alone randomly? That leaves the possibility that skygfx crashes, which used to be on startup until I kinda fixed it, but it doesn't mean something like this can't happen again.

Even weirder is that 0.075 is supposed to be lighter weight, especially with reflections only (my nvidia 315M + i5-2430M could run it while maintaining 30 fps) xD

Make sure VehiclePipeline is set to PC and Blur is set to 0 in all.

well for reflections, use the Neo reflections from SKY-GFX instead,.

Good news, everyone! I upgraded my OS to Windows 7 and I can use all SkyGFX features now.

Now I can also use every single damn mod ThirteenAG has to offer.

 

So... does that mean all of my spamming is worthless now?

Yeah, now every minute, every single second The Hero spent trying to make SkyGFX work on XP (for you, personally) has turned into waste. Nice job.

What was broken about it on windows xp for you? It seems to work fine on it for me.

Also i don't think it's useless when you think that the original port was developed for windows xp and that moving to new versions of windows can subtley break things. Also things like EAX can have issues on OSes later than XP.

While we're at it, may I please nag you one more time about reflections on extra parts?

 

Extra parts? what is different compared to xbox atm with reflections?

 

neoWaterDrops for original Xbox behaviour and neoNiceDrops (as you named them when it was first released) for TAG's stuff/additional droplets behaviour for the three games, please?

 

What about the water drops is different from the xbox version atm? Also what is TAG's additional mod / what does it do?

Is this just a joke? Cos Can't you just take the original xboxes particle.txd and partice.cfg and then use them? Or does it add additional effects on top of just that? (For me personally, i would prefer to manually merge the two to save some of the content from PS2 particles for the fire hydrant spray - i dunno why they changed that texture for pc / xbox, it looks way less natural there. Also the water splashes etc).

 

 

Are these the only things left to make the game fully comparible to xbox / ps2? Or are there more things?

For Vice City there are the cutscene finger animations needed.

For gta 3 we have that now and it's great.

That's because I had XP's Service Pack 2, and the new internet device I got required XP SP3 or higher.

I didn't had SP3, so I installed Windows 7 after quite a ton of installation troubles last night.

 

Also i don't think it's useless when you think that the original port was developed for windows xp and that moving to new versions of windows can subtley break things. Also things like EAX can have issues on OSes later than XP.

But people managed to fix the issues.

No it isn't. Xbox fire and explosion particles are made out of like 20 frames while the PC and Ps2 are made out of 2. You need to have additional code to load them and at correct speed. The usage of ps2 particles with xbox fire and explosion frames would be piece of cake after that (just export some textures and then import em to another txd)

Ah okay thanks, that makes sense, i didn't know they changed the frame count of the animations.

can somebody help me ? so i just reinstalled my windows 10 , but now i cant seem to get plugins like SkyGfx or even the windowed mode plugin to load , is there anything specific i need to install so i can get these plugins working ?

 

yeah i do renamed skygfx dll to asi , but it just didn't work. and installed everything like i used to , so im sure , installation wise , everything is fine. so i think the problem is something else , i could be wrong tho.

EDIT : apologies , it seems that i have got the mod working , i forgot to install compact exe , but i wonder why doesnt this mod work with the normal hoodlum exe ?

Asi loader...

of course i installed asi loader , i already had mods like widescreenfix and silentpatch on , so i dont think its a problem.

I have tried a few times and the result was terrible. Colormod is more easy to use.

Noticed the compatibility of SkyGfx with SAMPFUNCS. When SA:MP starts, the work stops. It's not just me. Could you fix it? The author of SAMPFUNCS himself neglected the development of SAMPFUNCS.

 

What is SAMPFUNCS -

SAMPFUNCS is an addition to the CLEO 4 library, globally expanding the capabilities of scripts. Its main goal is to help accomplish various tasks in modding the game "GTA San Andreas", although more emphasis is placed on simplifying and expanding the chances for cheating for the multiplayer modification "San Andreas Multiplayer (SA:MP)".

Its not SKY--GFX Problem but SAMPFUNCS problem so why you asking here? go ask SAMPFUNCS dev instead, if its dead than there is nothing you can do.
