So great.

 

Hope to see water/blood drop on screen and taillight effects from Vice City in the next release. (maybe a controlable amount of gama and colorfilter)

Feel free to send some PIX frames. I got some from Blackbird but two of them looked right and the other one seemed incomplete. Kinda hard to debug things that you can't reproduce.

Exactly what I was saying. The Hero, what do you think about turning it into a feature? Madly stretched raindrops randomly "noising" across the entire screen when driving fast through the heavy rain?

blurLeft= 0 ; Override PS2 color filter blur offset from stream.ini (comment out to use values from stream.ini)
blurTop= 0 ; to disable blur set these to 0
blurRight= 0
blurBottom= 0

 

radiosityFilterPasses=0 ; How often the frame will be downsampled (dimensions are halved each time) (default 2)

 

For radiosityFilterPasses make sure to remove ; in front of the line.

What happened with detailedWaterDist=48 ; Size of detailed water that is rendered in two passes (default 48)? I mean, was replaced with the new implemented PS2 water?

Removed it. With the water color fix I felt it was no longer necessary. If you really really want it, just edit the value yourself with cheat engine or something (4 byte int at 0x8D37D0)

How we can activate III or VC trails on SA since they are already implemented? Also, what's this exactly: fixed multipass distance on cars?

Sorry, forgot that to mention in the ini. use "III" or "VC" for postfx. multipass distance is the distance at which vehicle effects are drawn (they're drawn in multiple passes on the PS2 and also in skygfx, hence the name). I just increased it to 1000 so effects are always done. Can't find the post now that complained about it being too low.

Doesn't PS2 have stronger orange atmosphere? AFAIR. (I mean as whole time, not only at 20-22:00.)

 

Maybe some more lightning power too.

How does the game look when you start a new game? Post a screenshot and I can tell if everything looks right.

Here you can see some orange atmosphere on roads, buildings, etc, but from around 7:10 or so, till before 20:00, you won't see decent orange atmosphere, it goes too weak, looking proper only on buildings then. (dunno if I'm wrong, but I remember I it was like that when I used to play SA in PS2.)

 

Check the YouTube, you'll see a stronger orange atmosphere in PS2 gameplays and most of the walkthroughs.

Looks right to me. Are you using a PS2 timecyc.dat file? Just replace the timecyc.dat by timecycp.dat.

Why the blue triangle on the bike looks so dark. Isn't something colliding with skygfx in your installation? Do you have something like colormod or something else installed? Looks dark indeed.

Yeah, I have colormod installed, not sure if it works tho, but anyway, the bike's triangle was like that in my game before. I guess it looks normal, doesn't it?

I'm using the TIMECYC.DAT straight extracted from my SA PS2 disc since a very long time, is better to use TIMECYCP.DAT instead? What it was the differences?

timecyc.dat isn't used by the PS2 and Xbox games. They load timecycp.dat instead and that file is identical to the PC timecycp.dat.
