It's just because I can't get the effect I want with the new version. It gets way to blurred either using 8 or 16 values.

A value of 0 should give you an unblurred frame (or set doBlur=0). I don't see how a value of 8 will be way to blurry. Could you post two screenshots perhaps which show the difference?

 

TrevorBanks: hm, I thought about making the hotkeys configurable, in the meantime you can disable them in the .ini.

 

No,i want to change key cuz when i change timecyc ps2,it's disable chatlog,also normal,nothing happens,only while i press F7 to change a timecyc

That an issue that happens when the streaming memory gets too high, it has nothing to do with this mod.

 

Next time just edit your post, don't double post.

Then it's probably another mod conflicting with this one. Are you using a vanilla installation of San Andreas?

 

EDIT: just saw the video. Try it on a clean installation.

Somebody else had that or a similar bug as well. I have no idea how it happens. The vertex buffer and vertex shader output looked fine :/

You realize that the only time that this bug has ever appeared is when the streaming memory is higher than the default setting. Everyone who assumed it wasn't because of this mod knew what they were talking about, so get off your high horse.

 

Remove your stream memory 'fix' and then install this mod, I highly doubt that bug will appear again.

I fully agree with you. But do not delete anything. Install script

"Stream Usage Counter"

Try to make a screenshot or video with this bug if you have less than 256MB StreamMemory :lol:

Well I don't like blur at all, but since it was actually present on the ps2 version it's nice to have it converted, amazing work as always The Hero :D. And I agree with Blackbird88, having an option to turn it off is more "classy" than messing with the stream.ini.

PS2 original reflections are a thing.

PS2 original lighting may be another.

PS2 original models and textures could still be accepted...

 

But really? Why are we even interested in PS2 problems?

 

It's not. There is yet another effect (the one which causes the bug in pcsx2). The frame is scaled (and downsampled?) somehow and rendered again onto the screen. I will see what I can do to both fix it in pcsx2 and implement it in the PC version, but don't expect too much.

Speaking of problems with post-processing effects on ps2/pcsx2, I guess this new trick may interest you

 

I thought about scaling the values according to resolution, but the current way gives you more control and how often do you change your resolution anyway? I tested this all at 640x480 to be as close to the PS2 as possible and at that resolution the difference between 8 and 16 is noticeable (if you look closely). With a higher resolution you have to increase the values to make it visible, same goes for radiosity. Based on the values for 640x480, you can set the values for blur to width/80 (corresponds to 8) and the offset for radiosity to width/640 (corresponds to 1) (now it's already bugging me you can only specify whole pixels of the downsampled texture for radiosity, should be able to fine tune better :/) which should give you an effect close to how it looks at 640x480 with the default values.

Because noobs and out-of-the-box.

I just noticed something, at night the moon and the stars don't appear with PS2 Reflections.

Is it me or someone else has the same issue ?

Some thoughts. SA use timecyc.dat as default ( or timecycp.dat renamed to timecyc.dat as default ) so postfx can override that and use PS2 timecycp.dat, no need to rename timecycp.dat to timecyc.dat for using PS2 timecyc ?

 

P.S. I don't like SA low resolution moon, but yes - I also did't see moon and stars with PS2 reflections.

I want PS2 purple dildo! It has a nice PS2 atmosphere on that long hard thing and I like it.

It is fun to kill people with that kind of precious PS2 dildo.

I hope The Hero will be able to make the dildo exactly or almost for PC, maybe lovelydildo2.asi?

GTA SA+PS2 timecyc+PS2 postfx+PS2 grass+PS2 purple dildo=my dream is complete.

:lol:

 

Now the PS2 Atmosphere is ULTIMATE !!!

There's a small bug with plane's propellers, it shows both moving_prop and static_prop at the same time. It only happens when you enable the PS2 reflection.
