Use your graphics cards configuration panel to setup optimal/maximum performance usage for gta_sa.exe. Not sure how to do that exactly with AMD though but you could use google for that, I doubt it's much of a difference compared to Nvidia control panel.

AMD cards come with their own Radeon Settings Configuration tool. It is different from NVIDIA, but has similar functions, should be working too.

Oh man no help. I was really hoping to play this game on new card but no luck...Yes Radeon Setting have profile settings and both MSI Afterburner and GPU-Z reporting max mem&gpu clocks during the game but GPU usage is stuck at 16% no more, no less, something is wrong. All other games runs fine even GTA3 and Vice?!

When I use the VCS style reflections, there is a bug where there aren't any shadows and car headlights do not appear on the ground.

Doesn't really seem to be a skygfx bug and more of a system specific issue (or a mod conflict), shadows and car headlights work fine with VCS reflections for me (using version 3.0a that is).

It could be done somehow, sure. But it's not easy and not worth it.

Not worth it? If the purpose of Skygfx is to bring PS2 atmosphere to PC and sun effects are essential to atmosphere, then I don't see how it is not worth it.

Latest Silentpatch update incorporates PS2 sun glare, which is cool but the sunsizehack setting isn't exactly the PS2 sun.

It would be cool if there was Hero's sun or something.

It is if you disable it in the ini and uses the PS2 seabed.

seabed.ipl from PS2 version or SA GUI Remaster in San Andreas Downgrader (this one will have increased draw distance whilst maintaining PS2 sun).

Well it is a skygfx bug because when I switched back to the ps2 reflections, the shadows came back. I could be using an older version since i'm not sure when it was updated last.

Edit: Okay so I downloaded the newest version and the problem is fixed.

Interesting, very sure that the version you had was very very old. :O

Maybe you had v3.0 A. not sure. As far as I know, there are like A, B and C sub-versions of some versions. I got C a while ago, and unluckily I fastily forgot where I installed it from, but you would find it easily when googling it. Its .asi file shows that it's newer than the one that is stated in this topic's main post. I didn't notice your edit, lol xD. Anyway, that's it. Edited by Kane49

Hol' up....

New member here. So, a little question:

What does this mod do besides implementing console atmosphere? I read some posts in page 60s that this also includes ped behaviors/spawn points/paths fixes?

Man, you guys gotta gimme some slacks with these fixes/improvements/back-to-basic stuffs. Last time I played back in '12, I struggled to find some "simplest" stuff, but now...

At this rate I'd spend a LOT more time browsing these tweaks than to play the game itself, holy sh*t...

It's mostly graphical stuff. I did patch a few random number generators which fixed the ped paths (discovered by silent and also patched in silentpatch) and changed how the proc objects are placed.

So, basically it's (Ped's Paths. Heh, it kinda rhymes) already covered by SilentPatch?

If so, well..damn. I need to find the cs that screws it up..

It's been a while, is there any ETA on the next update?

I don't mean to rush you at all, but it would be nice to have a hotfix to address this issue.

I wanted to address a number of things for the next release but was too lazy to do them :/ Some things are done, some aren't. I guess I could do a new version soon that doesn't have everything I originally wanted. It won't have an accurate ps2 water pipeline but the most urgent thing, the ugly square, has been fixed for a long time.

Looking forward to seeing the square go, finally. It won't be missed 👍

I wouldn't consider the PS2 water pipeline and droplets as a huge priority, this mod is pretty much perfect IMO.

A small update with minor but necessary changes is all it needs right now.

Thanks! But I don't know what a pipline makes for a difference. Are the look different? If so what's different?

PC has weird, dark square around player. PS2 has nice waves.
