I've not completely figured out yet, but this bug appears with only ultimate asi loader dll placed to game folder (dinput8.dll). Even without any plugin, just a dll file. Plugins from native mss32 folder don't cause this thing

I tried to rename dinput8 to dsound8 for example but it still greenish. Is there any other asi loaders for VC to test?

Not true, just forgot to use a cheat for sunny weather while testing without asi loader =\

Try to do a clean install of Vice City on a different install path and install one by one every modification to be safe. Did you try your current game installation on some other system/PC to see if the issue is present?

Are you using sharptrails? It could be related

@@Marsi4eg: Try to delete the .SET file from your Vice City User Files folder to see if it is the problem. When I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 I was having problems with the Xbox rain droplets, and was caused by that file. I don't know if such file saves the GPU information as drivers or whatever, since didn't work anymore when I upgraded from an OS to another and obviously it is the same PC and I still having the same GPU.

Thank you all for your advices, I've found what caused that - it's 'vc.cleo.asi', I was using v 2.0.0.3 for some reason. Updated to 2.0.0.4 and problem gone. Nothing more to say inside Skygfx topic.

Anyway kinda strange that cleo asi affects graphics

You could've at least provided a screenshot, you know. You didn't even name the game you're having problems with.

Wasn't that some issue due to SA:MP? All those mods installed on SP SA don't have any issues for me.

That problem seems to occur when using SAMP graphics restore or whatever it's called.

Does it make any difference what visual fx quality I play with when using skygfx? Is it best to have it on high, very high, or medium? In stock game I've found high to be best but with skygfx I can't notice any difference between medium, high and very high.

And how am I supposed to add PS2 vehicles? The zip archive is incompatible with SAMI.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? SAMI in 2017? Use modloader, it's thousand times better and very 2017. :p

Then, just download the PS2 vehicles and extract them on a folder into modloader dir. That's all.

I already imported playstation 2 vehicles using Alci img editor. I'll try modloader next time.

Anyways, PS2 vehicles don't work well with PC game. Yes reflections are better but there's a bug where some vehicles don't have headlights on at nighttime, and rear vehicle lights don't work correctly for some reason. That's when using PS2 vehicles. I hope Hero will have time, energy and inspiration to improve standard PC vehicle reflections so that there would be no need to download PS2 vehicles.

Fixed Vanilla Vehicles and Default Improved Cars should have correct ps2 materials set up for them as well as other fixes. At least the reflections aren't too bright like default pc ones.

I will not work around broken dffs in my code. I already removed the ugly wheelhack a few versions back. I doubt that the converted PS2 dffs aren't working, maybe show some proof.

what is the difference between the normal version and the SKYGFX in GTA 3?

Download it and open the ini file to see the options, you will see all the differences right there.

Just curious, is there a way you could implement having both the car reflections and the sun sheen at the same time? It's not really a PS2 thing but it might have a really cool effect.

@aap: I don't know if you are updating your progress on GitLab (because GitHub doesn't work currently).

EDIT:

Nevermind, GitHub is working again. It seems that was a problem in my side.

It wasn't the PS2 vehicles after all. I noticed that some cars turn off their lights around 5 a.m.

But I dropped by to ask this: Is it conceivable to improve seabed.ipl so that it would function like PS2 sun but doesn't reduce draw distance?

The PC seabed was posted somewhere here in the forums with the PS2 sun values on it. But can't find it at the moment.

If you grab the SA Downgrader, and install my remaster GUI pack, I snuck in a seabed.ipl there which has increased draw distance but still retains the sun glow, if you put it too high, the sun gets ignored and you're back to square one of what's even the point.

Looks like a modded timecyc.dat

Thanks, I've found on net original on and it corrected that nasty yellow cast.

But the real problem with GTA SA is tha uses only 5-10% CPU and 15% GPU. Is there any, but any, magical way to force San Andreas to use more GPU or CPU, 'because I have like 5fps! in many places with more animation.

So far bumping up gta priority in task manager to high or real time doesn't do anything nor setting affinity to just one core!?

I have radeon RX 580 and FX8350. Please help...
