Hi it's Vince with Disable Blur, you're gonna be in a great mood all day cause you're gonna be disabling your SA blur away, now here's a config, copy one, disable overall edge blur...

:'D you made my day, Ash.

Xbox reflections are basically BETTER versions of the ones used in Stories. The only better ones are the SA Mobile ones which actually reflect the world.

In what way if you don't mind explaining? You know you can edit the Xbox ones to get rid of the tint or change the mask right?

Sorry but I haven't been working on skygfx recently. I still plan to implement the neo car reflections and get rid of the pseudo-VCS sh*t for good.

Car mask is in neo.txd under "CarReflectionMask", change that texture (don't use TXDWorkshop, use Magic.TXD) to a full grey image instead to get a complete coverage over the vehicle, the brighter the grey, the more it will be applied (but also start to wash out the colour), the default is Grey 76 with a fade, here's Grey 91 for comparison as an example:

First I want to say thank you all for this beautiful mod.

And second is little problem about compatibility with Reshade (an advanced, fully generic post-processing injector... https://reshade.me/), I'm using it to add some sharpen, and capture ingame screenshots.

But with SkyGfx turned on, Reshade creates empty screenshots. And in it's log file it says (Screenshots are not supported for backbuffer format 35). Was asking at their forum what can we do about it.

Got response:

ReShade does only support 8-bit per channel back buffers for screenshots at the moment. Game, or more likely something in the SkyGfx mod, forces D3DFMT_A2R10G10B10 aka 10-bit per channel. There is no solution for this implemented right now.

So, now I'm asking here: is there something to do about it, or leave problem as it is ? *Maybe some settings tweak...

Okay, seems in this case best solution will be update to awful ShadowPlay3 (can capture screenshots).

UPD. Weird, not it works fine, *no changes to game were made since last run.

Forgive me for this dumb question but how can i switch between the configuration files (the .ini's) or how can i set one of them "on" and disable the others. I already tried editing one of them and deleting the other two but it dosen't seems to apply any changes. Thanks.

Edit: Nevermind i think i already figured how it works but a complementary explanation will be well received.

Skygfx will read a file 'skygfx.ini' or a number of files 'skygfxN.ini', where N starts at 1. You can then cycle through them.

Can somebody help me choosing what configuration i should use to keep all the original PC improvements but keeping the PS2 ambient and color too? Such as high detailed textures and that kind of stuff. I already disabled the blur effect but still thinks it looks less detailed than the vanilla game. Thanks.

If you have the original PC map then you doesn't need to modify anything. At least, if you want to keep it vanilla.

Yeah SkyGFX doesn't change any textures, it restores the additional post process rendering.

Is there any chance that i could make skygfx work with Multi Theft Auto?

Or can I just do the same trick without using scripts but just replacing some .dat files like timecyc?

I'm so exited with this mod can't even think about playing without it

You can't use asi scripts in MTA, AFAIK, so it isn't possible at all.

Well, MTA supports custom shaders though.

So with enough effort one could get (at least half?) of this mod I guess.

While using Skygfx in SA the improvements are obvious. But I was wondering, is it worth trying out Skygfx for Vice City? Does it add any visual effects? The PC port of Vice City wasn't as bad as SA.

well the III and VC skygfx are more for the xbox shiny graphics, but it also contains better ps2 vehicle reflections

If you wish to retain some of vanilla look then change stencilshadows=1 in skygfx1.ini This will keep the pc shadows.

You can also use silentpatch without skygfx. (Unless you're crazy about orange sky and vehicle reflections.) Game will still look great without any loss to details.

Tomasak - cool, I'tl try it out next time I play VC or III.

It's up to MTA to allow it, go ask them.

Hi! I was using SkyGfx 2.9 for San Andreas and I noticed 3.0 was released. However, when I installed the newer version it looked worse IMO: Like the saturation was up and everything was slightly darker. Is that how its supposed to look like and is 3.0 version closer to the PS2 version than the 2.9? Because if it's not closer to the original look on PS2, I will stick to the 2.9.

Also I am using respective versions for III and VC too and only difference I noticed is when I press F6 button, car reflections happens to be like an ENB mod in GTA III, in Vice City, cars just get slightly darker tint and uglier. Is that how it's supposed to happen and is that the only feature?

don't compare SkyGFX reflections with the ENB ones ;) SkyGFX are the correct ones since TheHero replicated the reflections from the xbox version.

That's why I said that. can you also answer my other questions? Edited by AjdarFan
