Next Step: GInput.

GInput doesn't bring PS2 downgrades, as it's actually exposing stuff PS2 did not make use of :p

Remapping and?

Mostly abusing pressure sensitiveness of triggers which PS2 did not use - for aircraft rotating, sniper zooming and such.

Oh right I almost forgot DS2 didn't have those :D

It did, but they didn't make full use of them.

I mean the triggers ie. L2/R2.

The thing I love in GInput the most is sensitive acceleration/braking. Though it works slightly different from GTA IV, it's amazing anyway.

Though I guess the difference is down to physics.

No, I mean when you push the accelerator halfway in III or VC with GInput, the car indeed goes slower, but it still reaches it maximum speed over time anyway, while in GTA IV the car responds more realistic, reaching some speed and maintaining it.

Good attempt, no doubt. But let's say... this mod = Pepsi. PS2 Grass = Coca Cola.

Using this mod and I like it so far! Keep up the good work OP!

New version of ps2refl:

- Implemented second environment map effect (PS2 and PC style), check e.g. Rustler to see how it looks.

- Using an .ini file now. You can disable hotkeys, set default pipeline, and enable bike wheel hack.

I noticed the Rustler has specular reflections when it shouldn't have them, this is (just like specularity on wheels) a bug in the DFF, using converted PS2 cars should fix this.

Are they really fixed, though? My converter had a bug I think until a few hours ago. I think I will convert and upload them all sometime.

New version of postfx. I implemented PS2 texture offsets, see pe_leftx, pe_topy, pe_rightx, pe_bottomy in stream.ini. If you do not want this (causes blurriness), set these values to 0. I use a scale of 8 16 units = 1 pixel so it matches the PS2 behaviour (as close as I could get it) by default (no idea how this is scaled on the PS2 exactly, but doesn't matter too much anyway).

Anyone have the link for this old version?

Oh don't be like that. (After all, in some scenarios, old version of some things are indeed better, even you knows it)

It's just because I can't get the effect I want with the new version. It gets way to blurred either using 8 or 16 values.

And thanks guys.

A value of 0 should give you an unblurred frame (or set doBlur=0). I don't see how a value of 8 will be way to blurry. Could you post two screenshots perhaps which show the difference?

TrevorBanks: hm, I thought about making the hotkeys configurable, in the meantime you can disable them in the .ini.
