Looks amazing. Also the fact that bigger drops leave the trail of smaller ones when being blown by the wind. Nice attention to the detail.

I just stole all of their code :D Well, not yet all of it, but the rendering and moving around is done. Only spawning water drops from hydrants and water splash is still missing.

HOLY F*CK! (sry) Awesome work aap. It looks the same as on xbox which is unbelievable.

As soon as bones for GTA III and facial animations fix is done, we basically have the original XBOX Version from R*V on PC

Yes, guys from Rockstar Vienna really raised III to a much higher level of quality. And I do not understand why. Is this was some kind of deal with Microsoft? Or they just did it because they could do it ?

 

countergame, also don't forget about improved particles on Xbox.

Yeah it has a lot of other stuff which i didn't noticed. Particles.txd is easy to convert, thanks to MagicTXD. XBOX fire looks pixelated on PC though, but still looks better than the original one.

But xbox fire and explosion have more frames, i am sure txd converting isn't enough.

Blood splatters on Xbox are the same as PC. At least on Vice City.

- Xbox water drops (right now only for 1.0 exes!!). The effect is using one more file from the neo dir: dropmask.tga, so don't forget that. You also have to enable the effect in the ini, it's turned off by default.

- xbox world pipeline shouldn't affect skinned geometry

So what's missing now from perfect VC xbox experience? Glossy roads and particles?

I think that car ( Banshee, if I don't mistaking ) in first cutscene have untextured white parts with xbox map. Can't post a screen, unfortunately.

Particles, Sounds, Models.. I actually never noticed glossy roads on the xbox versions, looks the same as on PC for me.. or maybe it's just because i'm not used to play original xbox games on such a low resolution :D

 

I don't know if there are any tools that allow to open compressed xbox .sfx though. Maybe i'll try it later, have to download a .lSO first because Windows can't read XBOX discs, only shows the stupid movie how to insert a disc :D
