That's strange...maybe I should be more careful with renderstates but I don't see how that would freeze the game...

do you have older version of skygfx? maybe i can use with another version of your mod

EDIT: i try some version of skygfx and the black screen and freeze issue start from 2.2 but 2.1 works with no problems a bit lag but it works

For anyone that's interested, ENBseries actually works along SkyGFX fairly well. The only part of ENB that doesn't work properly is the vehicle reflections, which is caused by SkyGFX taking care of the vehicle rendering (as I assume). I tested ENBs up to v0075s (in SA-MP).

 

Also, shameless plug to remind The Hero of implementing ped rim lighting for GTA SA. Would make peds look so much different and better!

Hi! I just recently found this wonderful mod, and love the VCS reflections on cars! On downside, they disable bright chrome, as the picture below shows. I'd really appreciate if this minor issue could be fixed. Thank you in advance, and keep up the good work!

You need to set worldPipe= to -1 to disable it, which fixes your issue.

I recently encountered a problem using SkyGfx together with the widescreen fix by thirteenag.

I've put a clean copy of GTA 3 with 1.0 exe and also 1.1. I installed latest widescreen fix and SilentPatch. The game was running with no problem with both 1.0 and 1.1 exe. Then I decided to put SkyGFX too. I copied rwd3d9.dll but I left ThirteenAG's d3d8.dll. Then I copied the rest of the skygfx stuff into the scripts folder as it's supposed to be (and renamed neo_iii to neo). Then when I try to load a saved game (or start a new one) when the loading bar finishes I get this exception:

This is on both 1.0 and 1.1 versions.

I remember using skygfx with widescreen fix using ThirteenAG's d3d8.dll with no problem at all....

 

 

EDIT: It turns out that the ddraw.dll that comes with the SilentPatch made this problem... when I deleted it everything was fine

How can i play it on SAMP I mean you can play it on SAMP but is too damn orange and you can*t see nothing (GTA SA)

So I managed to take a PIX frame of this "dark doors bug" I mentioned before:

 

 

So I'm having this weird bug, I'm not 100% sure its caused by this mod though, basically after a while playing the doors of a few cars become darker as if the environment map is gone or something, what's weirder is that it doesn't affect all vehicles only a few and it seems to be very random as well, sometimes only one door is affected and other times two doors...

 

I added some cars with fastman92's limit adjuster, but I don't think that's whats causing the problem since it happens to vanilla cars as well, anyways here's some pics:

When I enable rim lighting in GTA 3 it sometimes makes Claude's head dark (in a shadow) in some cutscenes. But it's in some cutscenes, not all of them. I can't tell all of the cutscenes where this happens but I can give you an example with Don't Spank Ma Bitch Up:

When I press F5 to disable rim lighting it's ok

Yeah, rim lighting in III doesn't really work yet because I still haven't implemented skinning. Also the values from the config file look wrong so I wonder what the game actually uses....Just disable it for now.

 

Reyks: I'm not sure it will help but I may look at it later.

Some cutscenes rather use Claude's head from his model than the cutscene one.

This happens if you use any form of anti-aliasing even the in-game AA, the only way around it as I'm told is by playing in borderless windowed mode (didn't test it myself to confirm). Unless you play the game on a CRT screen I wouldn't worry too much about it, these intros have a incredibly low resolution and look horrible on modern HD monitors.

Seriously though, I hope you can make this happen when you return to GTA modding.

III and VC are almost identical...it just needs some other addresses. But I won't release anything until they can replace the existing rain drops.
