uncaged: I haven't looked at the intro movies but I remember Silent and ASH talking about them and iirc this was a pretty much unfixable problem. So no, I won't fix that. Why do you even care about the intro movies? Go play the game m8!

Well its hard to explain. I like to rewatch intros of games that I'm currently playing. Sure I can go and watch it from the folder, but... Anyway its good to know for sure that bug is unfixable.

Uncaged, try to unistall all codecs from your PC, as I said on my laptop without any videocodecs (just windows 10 defaults) my retail GTA games paly intro movies, on my desktop with my steam copies it doesnt play...

ALCAMJI, so on a machine which plays intro well, intro is not black even with IN-GAME AA ON?

On a laptop with an i5 4310m with an intel hd4600 san andreas with silentpath and antialiashing set on 8x intro movies run perfectly, I can record if you want it, maybe retial san andreas install something steam version doesnt...

ALCAMJI, thats ok, I believe you :) I asked that cuz you said nothing about AA in your previous comments. That is the only thing I wanted to make sure. Thank you.

However I had no success with your method, unfortunately. I will try to do some searching about codecs that SA uses.

But it doesnt seem to work, as I said my retail san andreas works perfet, but my steam copy doest, and I already checked the video files and are the same, not changes there...

The weird thing is if I alt-tab and alt-tab again - intro is seen O_o

Windowed borderless. If you aren't completely against it, use it from Ultimate asi loader.

Why not just use the AA from your GPU's control panel?

Marky, in-game AA works best for me. All other methods (injectors, shaders, drivers, MixSets) cause lag in grass, smoke and clouds.

So I'm having this weird bug, I'm not 100% sure its caused by this mod though, basically after a while playing the doors of a few cars become darker as if the environment map is gone or something, what's weirder is that it doesn't affect all vehicles only a few and it seems to be very random as well, sometimes only one door is affected and other times two doors...

 

I added some cars with fastman92's limit adjuster, but I don't think that's whats causing the problem since it happens to vanilla cars as well, anyways here's some pics:

Any ideas what could be causing this? Am I the only one having this problem? Would a PIX frame be of any help?

But quality of in-game AA(on any level 1/2/3) is really bad compared to AMD's RGSSAA, nothing can came even close to that picture quality. I play in 2560x1440 4xRGSSAA 16xAF it's like a dream...

That's because it's (level 3) only up to 4x MSAA :whistle:

Reyks: I had noticed this as well a looong time ago...probably before there was skygfx. Not sure what causes this, haven't seen it in a while...although I hardly play the game.

Maybe that's why, normally I just play the game for a few minutes to see if the mods I installed are working properly and stuff, but recently I started playing trough the storyline again and that's when I noticed it.

 

This bug seems to show up after about an hour or so playing I think, but again it's very random and doesn't happen all the time.

 

You think I should try taking a PIX frame of the bug?

i use skygfx and the moment i get on the BMX at the start of the game it freezes immediately or if i watch to other side it freezes too

any idea why it happens?

ok got another bug or error (apologies i dont know how to cal this) in the mission "drive thru" from sweet house after the cinematic of the mission it goes black screen and freezes if i remove the skygfx i can play the mission

anyone know what to do or anything?

i can play with postfx and ps2refl but the new ver 2.8c of skygfx is giving me some hard time the other version of your mod never cause troubles

im using the ps2-like config

That's your problem. Remove postfx and ps2refl is already on skygfx and even better implemented than those very old builds.

 

Is mentioned on the main post as well

IMPORTANT: This is a replacement for my earlier PS2 mods, namely: ps2refl.asi, postfx.asi, ps2shads.asi (low quality shadows), ps2grass.asi. REMOVE them first before using SkyGfx.

No lighting on vehicles with xbox reflections compared to PS2 refs :(

 

 

 

How did you even get SkyGFX working on SA-MP? I've tried doing that before, and everything is invisible. :blink:

ill take some pictures of the mods and scripts i have installed but a little question first.

i have the ps2 seabed.ipl inside my gta folder and i put a modifed ps2 timecyc (with fixed sun colors) by "el dorado" does this affect somehow to skygfx?

ok so i tested with 2 scirpts silentpatch with the TwoPassRendering=0 NVCShader=0 and skygfx with ps2 like config and didnt freeze but the black screen took a lot of time in disappear and the the mission was going like nothing happened

Hi guys! I have a bug: When I load a savegame (or start a new game) after few seconds my video driver crashes. I don't know why. If I delete the skygfx files, the game works very well. Sometimes I give a Video_TDR_Failure Blue Screen error. I have an old AMD Radeon HD 3650 with updated drivers and Windows 10. I have SilentPatch and few vehicle fix patches. I've set TwoPassRendering=0 and NVCShader=0 but nothing happened.

Just remove everything but the bare minimum and see if it still freezes.

i think i found the issue with the black screen and freeze when i put the shadows (pedshadows and stencilshadows ) in 0 the game goes black and freezes in the mission

when i put them in -1 or 1 the game doesn´t go to black and freeze so i hope it helps

 

 

EDIT: ok so after changing options here and there between the .inis i found the problem its cause by the "postfx="

if i use other numbers doesnt go black but if i put 0 the game goes black and freezes

and im only using skygfx (no postfx and ps2refl) and silentpatch with theTwoPassRendering and NVCShader options in 0 disable so i use skygfx only

ah an apologies i thought it was the shadow options were causing this problem my mistake

That's strange...maybe I should be more careful with renderstates but I don't see how that would freeze the game...
