jweaver
I watched this video last night and thought it was funny: But I immediately noticed the shadow which appears on the concrete area which grows as the player walks towards it.. I can't even work out what its ment to be, let alone fathom why it grows and shrinks as he walks about. (See 0:06, 0:22, 0:57, 1:16). Anyone know what this is about, as it looks 'wrong' and kills the illusion! Jon LightningLord
fwenshy
I can live with that, it's no big issue. I've also noticed in some reflections in shop windows the closer you get to the window the further your reflection moves back....again no big issue for me. But I just wondered what it was.. Why a 'shadow' would not be visible from a great distance.
Fuzzknuckles
I've seen something similar in AC Unity on PS4 - if you go up high and look down on a large croud, the shadows are only drawn for the people within the cone of your FOV. If you move the camera around, it removes it from those outside of the cone and adds it to those that are now in the cone. Looks like sh*t. This though, not so bad, definitely not a big problem. Signatures are dumb anyway.
Kalvin
The shadow system in GTAV is weird, some shadows from a small distance won't appear until you get right up next to them, or some shadows only move when you move (they'll still move according to the day/night system, but they'll move way faster when you yourself move). Also, if you go to the wind turbine farm, I'm not sure how many of them do but some of the shadows stay still (even though the turbine is moving) until you move, then it'll spin, until you stop. It's a really weird system, it's similar if not the same in the last gen too. backfromthestorm
Was worse on lg. For me anyway. Shadows depend on object and light source, gta v they seemed to add point of view to it as well.
killahmatic
I can't even work out what its ment to be, You can't figure out that its intended to be the characters' shadow? Obviously something didn't work out right with those textures working with the lighting correctly, but its obvious its supposed to be character shadow.
