JDE8306
OK I have a Toshiba Satellite C855D with the AMD E-300 APU Processor and a Radeon HD 1.30 GHz. 3.59 GB of Ram and a 64-bit Operating System. If you can already tell I'm really out of my field. I Can't buy a new computer. This is the only computer that fits in my computer stand in the patrol car, And The Chief said I cant have a new one. (the wife) So I'm stuck with it. I Downloaded my copy of GTA IV from Steam and with a lot of screaming and cussing at the computer I finally got it to run ( I still have know idea how I did it but wow). Also I changed all of the compatibility stuff. Well I'm not out of the woods yet. Its lagging BAD. I DON'T care if it looks like GTA 3 it need this to some how work. My job is really boring and I need LCPDFR in my life. Any Ideas on how to fix my god awful computer. Thanks. Oh and I already have the Game booster and it Kinda works. Like a bandage would work on a gunshot wound.

jonesz
best advice is to really reinstall windows, reinstall the vendors drivers, turn off the search indexing and error logging services more in this thread here http://gtaforums.com/topic/384473-ultimate-gtaiv-performance-fix/
