Next gen (XB1) server issues?

I have been loving the next gen version. I decided to try free roam again for the first time in over six months, mainly to see how big of a cluster F 30 players might be. I kept having connection issues. Bad lag in the form of frame drop/freeze, and eventually getting booted with an error message. Getting booted seemed to be triggered by direct interaction with other players (combat). When I checked my network connection through XB1 settings everything checked out fine (according to MS) 17 Mb down, 1.5 Mb up. I was getting a 99ms ping, but I assume this is due to the distance (me in texass pinging a server in Redmond/Seattle). I didn't see any threads here about issues, so am I the only one?

In 4 ps4 fanboys. In all seriousness this is happening on both consoles rockstar needs to iron out all the bugs still.

Today has been the worst for me. Haven't been able to find a single lobby with anyone except myself. Crazy length loading screens in clouds. A week since release and still unable to play Gtao properly. A very poor show indeed.

What message do you get when you get booted out?

 

Mine usually tells me I have lost connection to Xbox Live but in actual fact, I can still talk to everyone in my party and also see the live content on my dashboard.

 

I have to switch off and on again to be able to boot GTA up and get back online.
