like any common sense gta player, you put on passive mode in high risk situations.

 

they could also let players invite others like apartment invites, negating the necessity to drive to the front doors.

Id imagine you'd be able to get into the casino from your phone. And id imagine that the casinos would have their own mini servers kinda like how playlists are set up

How does it work if a tank runs over your car while you are in the car & in passive mode? Haven't tried that yet (rarely use the tank)

Passive mode is a bit glitchy on NG. Sometimes you go straight through people like they're ghosts...other times you end up crashing in to them. I'm sure this isn't how R* intended it to be.

I think we all know the Casino will be coming eventually. It just stands outside with the sign "Coming Soon!" as if just to tease you. The Casino was leaked a while back, but it was presumably held off due the last-gen limitations. Well, now that it's next-gen, I can easily see this coming out sometime after they finally fix the server issues.

 

See, if there's one place in GTA Online where non-violence is key, it's the Casino. The Casino should be a place where people get together and hangout. Play some Poker, Blackjack, bet on races, go drinking ect. This should be a place where you make new friends while making (or losing) money. Call it a "truce zone", if you will.

 

However, there is one thing that will definitely be an issue when it's released. I can definitely see some jackass camping outside the Casino with powerful weapons, killing anyone who comes near the Casino. This would turn the whole place into a warzone, preventing anyone from getting inside and it would be completely ruin the whole point of the Casino if it was just a place to lure people into gun fights. Mindless gun fights can be done literally anywhere else, we don't need to ruin an entire feature just to have a little more.

 

This will definitely happen unless R* implemented some kind of countermeasure to prevent it from happening. What would you suggest? My idea is that the damage you do to others within the vicinity of the Casino bounces back at you while they take no damage. So instead of killing them, you'll only kill yourself. What do you have in mind? Discuss.

 

 

 

 

The new passive mode pretty much takes care of that.

Have a large amount of guards outside and inside, but don't give them unique models, to confuse griefers.

Easy fix: when you walk out of the lobby to the taxi stand,you're technically indoors to those outside, like your apartment. Just like your apartment, have 2 options, either exit at your own risk, or catch a cab to your apartment or a "random" location on the map.

What i would suggest is that if this particular Dlc drops then we get some new high roller penthouse apts and have an option to just warp straight there from them. The new passive mode helps outside a lot better now anyway

No no we don't know casino is coming op. Have you seen an official confirmation? No I don't think so. What's your source? YouTube? International business times? Those aren't reliable.

 

Just because some files might have been found, doesn't immediately confirm anything.

Pulling out weapons around the casino could give an instant 4 star wanted level. Including Merryweather, as it turns out Devin Weston has quite a large investment in the casino :evilgrin:.

 

or you could just make it so you can't pull out weapons around the casino, similar to how strip clubs and shops work. Possibly have security guards out from who tell you to put your guns away if you attempt to pull them out (They don't come out).

All they'd have to do is make the entire area a passive area, including the parking lot.

People will always just wait outside the safe zone but at least you could call your mechanic within the safe zone and try to speed out.

The fact that the graphics make the original look like sh*t? The boatloads of new additions? It's pretty clear to me that, after heists, all packs are going to be exclusive to next-gen.

I hope the casino never opens. And if it does I hope the casino is single player only :D f*ck gambling. And if it's online only real money can be used for casino shark cards.

betting our virtual cash in poker or other casino games would give us something to do besides killing each other. :lol:

Simple solution, put Jimmy on the door, as a greeter. People will be too preoccupied shooting him to worry about anyone else.

Though I feel this person's moral or practical disposition toward gambling is inconsequential, he noted something I had never considered. Could there be legal implications due to the ability to purchase in-game money, as well as the high population of minors that play this game? I certainly would think so, though I don't know very much about the laws regarding online gambling. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Edited by L337jonas

I think it would probably best to just have it as a seperate instance, I can Image casino's being popular for like a month and then not get touched anymore would be kinda annoying to be in a full free roam session sat at a poker table waiting for someone else to appear.

So everyone would return to getting money the hard way instead of betting for more cash? Isn't that what casinos are for, betting and losing/winning money.

Passive mode doesn't work when you're in a vehicle.
