Didn't someone mention PS4/XB1 players icons fade off the radar at certain distance?

Could R* make it possible that players icons do not show all together when they enter strip club and (if comes) the casino.

Have the players with a mic only hear one another if they inside either them two (or other not yet confirmed coming) places that would disable weapons wheel. With the new passive mode on PS4/XB1 consoles R* might be able to create an option (for players) exiting the casino to enable/disable passive mode - exit safely or dangerously, haha.

That's my point of view too, yes when it first opens there will likely be a fair few griefers there but they'll get bored before long. Maybe I'm super hardcore or something but I'm not concerned about getting killed going in and out of a casino.

 

There's always passive mode too which pretty much negates any issues.

 

I'd much prefer it if the casino was just an enterable building in free roam. It'd be fun to have face offs in the car park with people who you've stripped of their money or vice versa. And again if you don't want that then there's passive mode.

 

It'd be cool if there were a few gambling dens dotted round the map for when you want it a bit quieter, could also have gambling in apartments in the 'heist' room.

I agree might be a bit mental at first but the fascination with the area should fade after a while.

I agree a few small gambling dens dotted around is a great idea, maybe a little underground chinese one on that little china street near the bus garage.

 

Although for the big one I was thinking it could actually maybe be a room separate from the main map that you go into via a loading screen, and yes no weapons/fighting allowed like in apartments - but the idea would be it could accommodate a whole lot more people in there, all the processing power of the main map focused into a big room. So maybe a bunch of cats sat around ring poker game, a good few roulette/craps tables, and of course a good few rows of slots all over - sh*t why not have the horse racing accessible on the balconies (you can't leave)!

 

Very excited for the casino, I think mainly because it will provide a location/activity where I don't have to be chasing/escaping from/exploding/killing sh*t. If GTA is supposed to be a MMO then it needs a peaceful hub for chilltime.

That's not the same comparison. There are multiple clothing stores, gun stores, and mod shops. It's easy to avoid them by going to one that doesn't have people surrounding them. However, there's only one Casino in the game leaving you to choose between going into a warzone or ignoring the feature entirely if people surround it.

I'd most likely already have parked my car outside, but if I'd fast travelled there so to speak then it would be a cool feature if you could go to a reception desk and have them bring one of your cars of your choice round for you when you're ready to leave.

The Casino could work well if it has some features from the appartments.

 

It wouldn't be affected by anything outside of it and you can invite peoples by using your phone. If someone is near the entrance then it could just teleport you away or giving a temporary passive mode for like 10 sec.

 

The bad losers won't like this very much. Too bad, bullets won't get you more coins anyways.
