One problem with the Casino if it's ever released...

I've been a strong believer of the casino opening for a long time and I would be so happy, if it's done right. By that I mean, no enterering waiting lobbies. I want to walk into the casino, sit down and start a game of poker straight away with other people.

What worries me is that even arm wrestling you have to enter a lobby, that should not the case. Two people should just walk up and start arm wrestling.

 

Maybe the casino will have a short loading screen and then everything inside is pre loaded. If that makes sense, I'm not sure if it does

Honestly i think they could solve this problem very easily by spawning a couple tanks near the casino when someone shoots near it, and a couple buzzards for good measure. Problem solved and its not impossible to fight off and people will know when its a good time to go to the casino in this instance.

The casino opens possebilities to money glitchers and modders. That why no show, certainly on last gen. Some ATM's at the exit, like in the strip club, should fix the problems. Go out the casino in automatic passive mode. Get a high wanted level if you shoot someone leaving.

That would be cool buuut the problem is what kinda fun would it be to enter free roam lobbies in which half or all the players are in the casino leaving Los Santos a ghost town. The separate lobby for Golf/arm wrestling is prob the way to go when entering the casino.

Like some other people here, I think it will be seperate to free roam. I can it see it being under "join activity" in your phone. I think it is the best way to ensure you're not alone in the casino also. I also think it wouldn't be like a normal lobby where you wait for players to join and then when the host decides it's time to play, they start the game. I think it will be more along the lines of people coming and going with no lobby.

You know how in single player when Trevor and Michael cant go to Los Santos or Madrazos goons chase you endlessly. Well what if you start killing people within a certain boundary near the casino would cause the Mafia running the casino to put a city ban on the offending player and as long as he's up in the sticks/country side he's fine but entering the city will cause goons to constantly chase the player as well as the casino putting a bounty on the player as well but only when the player is in the city. The City ban could last as long as the current bounties are.

So probably be better to have the casino not in free roam, but once you are in the casino everything is seamless with no loading.

LA is an exception, mafias aren't prevalent there, if there is something strong related to crime it would be cartels and gangs. It's mostly Hispanic gangs now from my understanding.

The Los Angeles crime family still operates many legitimate and not-so-legitimate businesses in LA though. They also don't have to contend with any other Italian families like others do in New York.

I'm sure they own a casino somewhere in California. It's not entirely infeasible.

You know how casinos have those buses that bring people in from wherever? Why not have various spawn points for casino buses around the map that bring you to the casino. That way players who camp outside won't have a bunch of other players coming in at once.

I think the bigger problem with the casino is the numerous amount of people with glitched money. I can imagine money glitchers getting together, hosting fixed games, and getting overly filthy rich. It would be the Billionaire Days all over again.

The fact that things keep being added to the game with updates should further provide point it's doing more than 'barely functional'. The fact that I can play games FAR less sophisticated than GTA V that have casinos as a side draw prove you're talking out of your ass. Are there console limitations? Obviously. But a lot of the time it's just developers shifting blame on engine limitations or laziness and other blame that lies on them to justify not doing it. Some of the draw of current gen GTA V can't be done on previous gen like the better draw distances and better textures, but if you're trying to tell me a rail gun or a Dukes can't be done because of 'console limitations', you're only fooling yourself brother.
