I don't think that's the case.

If you're having issues try a public lobby if you haven't already done so.

Only things I could reliably spawn in private servers were the Sandkings at Paleto.

Switched back to public and found Dominator/Ruiner/Sentinel in 15 min.

I was doing some rooftop rumble missions with my crew members, when i had the package i drove up to madrazo's house i saw a golden dubsta 2 just like the one on the picture in the OP coming around the U turn corner.

 

I could not store it cause i had the package so my crew member did, i did the mission a second time right after that and it spawned again. On the same place. We tried a couple times more but did not find the dubsta 2. We did found a modified comet a red one, with a big spoiler and different rims.

 

Here a pic of the location i saw the golden dubsta 2 times, on exactly the same spot driving around the u turn. The golden dubsta was driven by a NPC.

 

Edit: for the time of the day i did not checked, it was during the day cause it was sunny. I saw the cars in like 3 or 4 real life day ago.

I can Confirm they spawn with PV only... Some tings can be triggered with location and time perfection like the SK and Ratrods but nothing else... Only tried in invite only lobby though...

Sorry I disagree with needing a PV to make them spawn. I got the Sabre Turbo's

and Dominator just by driving a jacked car.

Haven't read the entire thread but I found that modded yellow sandking next to the clothes shop/LSC in the car park near sandy shores run way, didn't take notice of the time though

I also just caught a blue modded surano, on ingame thursday 10:40. At the los santos customs downtown. This was in a invite only session just now. While driving my zentorno. Could not store or sell the car.

Also found this in a inv only session i just started.

 

A panto with blue neons and crew sign? and zentorno modified. Also in the background a modified bike the vader.

I could get into the panto and zentorno, but my character stepped out on the other side right away could not start the cars. I could get on the bike, looks modified but was not at los santos customs. Value 900.

 

This was around friday, 04:00 in game time

Edit: just saw another modified bati on the ground, thinking that are other pkayers PV but i just started this invite only session and invtited nobody still :s

Read the post above about the gold Dubsta spawning during Rooftop Rumble.

Went to that area during free roam and never saw a thing.

 

Found a regular Dubsta on the street and took it, I had no personal vehicles out at the time.

While setting in it I hosted Rooftop Rumble alone. I spawned at the LSC in the middle of town where I was when I started the mission. Drove to that intersection Mike posted above and found a chrome Dubsta 2. drove it into my garage and came back out with my personal Dubsta 2 I've had forever and drove back to the intersection.

Boom, hit pay dirt again another chrome Dubsta 2, back to my garage it goes, walk out and call for my personal Dubsta and repeat. Managed to get 3 to spawn back to back before it started getting dark outside, then they quit spawning. I quickly quit the mission and ran one to LSC to see what they sell for.

 

EDIT:

 

Just tested this again just to see if it was a fluke or I just got very lucky.

No Fluke, not lucky. second time worked just like the first except I used my own Dubsta this time instead of starting out with a stolen one.

Stopped after spawning 2 chrome Dubstas the second time cause I had no where to store anymore.

Start the mission around 08:00 and they should spawn till 16:00. If one doesn't turn up at the intersection drive away then come back. If there not there when I get to the intersection I drive back east a couple miles then turn around and go back.

Also I'm in Arizona and currently downloading ANOTHER 1.14GB update.

The first time i saw the gold dubsta in gtao during rooftop rumble, i was in my zentorno with 3 other crew members. I tried it just now alone aswell in my zentorno i joined a rooftop rumble and the host left so i started alone.

 

I found the sentinel it was dark forgot to check the time -_- here a purple sentinel:

Then i stored it in my garage and drive back in the hills where i first posted a waypoint on the map at the intersection and i found a chrome dubsta 2 there aswell. So no need to start a mission in a dubsta or with people. It was around 13:00 am in the mission so during the day. I had my PV with me. Here's the dubsta i found.

Im currently still in rooftop rumble to check cars and spots. Of maybe more modded cars.

 

Edit: also sorry for posting the comet en surano i found modded on the streets i shall keep it up to sellable cars.

Funny I want to try this now but RR has suddenly disappeared from my mission list.

Joined a job and of course it was RR.

Finished and went back to mission screen but still not there.

The cars can be found outside the mission aswell, ive found the gauntlet, sentinel, and ruiner outside of the mission aswell as a comet and surano so there are more cars spawning that are modded. Think the dubsta can be found aswell outside a RR mission. If i spot it somewhere i give you guys a heads up.

True! But still only being able to sell 1 every 48 mins sucks.. Can easily do a couple of missions and make a ton more

I'm having difficulty with the Dubsta and the pictures being on side angle aren't helping me identify the spot

it spawns on the map.

 

From the picture of the chrome one that seems to be the big road that comes down from Vinewood as you

drive up to Martin's?

 

Also the gold one spawning at the Maibatsu factory, is that the exact spawn point or was it moved for the photo?

Found a sandking worth 17k across from the paleto bay garage,

Was not driving anything special and it was in the day.

I got the sandking from paleto but no mod shop is accepting sales

:(
