Armor being useful.

If armor was as useful as in GTA3-GTA4, it can improve GTAO by a long shot. Think about it. Everyone complains about being killed easily whether it be AI or other players. This can help.

-It calls for foot chases with the cops.

-It calls for more time to react when another player

The Cookie Monster

I don't have these issues.

Therefore, OP sucks at game.

It's not really a skill issue, but more a fun issue. It sucks how cops just start shooting when you run away. Foot chases would be awesome, just imagine them using tasers and nightsticks! The ridiculous accuracy of AI screws up the fun as well. 4 guys, hanging off a Granger, shooting a heavy assault rifle with one hand, full auto, all while consistently hitting me in the chest? Get bent. I want realistic chases, those are so much more fun than having to avoid getting close to any vehicle to avoid this horribly good accuracy

I agree armor in iv is actually armor. I don't even bother with it in online. Speaking of iv replaying it, I just realized how much they left out of v that would be awesome in online.

Not in PvP, but I have noticed in missions or gang attacks, if you have armor, they shoot it off almost immediately - yes, even being as careful as if you didn't have armor - so it virtually eliminates the point of armor. As if you start without armor, it's not like you get completely obliterated having no armor. This specific aspect is the issue, as well as driving NPCs have high accuracy until they exit the vehicle. The game is still playable and I've adjusted to these, but I guess inexperienced players have to get killed a lot until they learn the rules aren't exactly fair - which makes sense, 1 NPC ≠ 1 player life, in any game, so I guess the NPCs finally got a little advantage.

In PvP using armor helps tremendously, and I learned that's how players survive or die, they keep equipping armor or forgetting. You can't just battle battle battle, you have to re-equip before the other respawns, because you took some hits and would be at a disadvantage with half health and no armor against their full health. But most likely they will forget to equip armor after spawning, so if you eat snacks and re-armor, you'll keep killing them. These are the guys you first say "what the hell, is he cheating, is he in god mode" - no, he's just outplaying you if you think about all the tools at your disposal.

The problem I see with this is that if armour is buffed, people would whinge that "wtf r* armour 2 strong nerf it becuz i n00b". People would just complain that it's too hard to kill other people.

What if they made it so armour is effective against AI gunfire, but is as useful as it is now (that being, not useful) against other players?

All Armour is effectively the same. I nearly always buy it before missions just because I always refill my ammo and what the hell $490 isn't much but I would probably be absolutely fine without it.

Use snacks if you don't want to fork out the cash for armour. 40 P&Q's is like the equivalent to at least 20 armors and only costs you $80 for forty of them. (I think they're $2). But of course refilling them would be a pain in the ass, not that you'd really have to do it that often unless you absolutely suck.

Weirdly enough, only weirdos use P&Qs instead of Egochaser or Meteorite.

Body armour is for sissies!

Helpful in missions. Have you SEEN how accurate AI is? ESPECIALLY in Parking Garage? How the hell are you hitting me THAT far with a goddamn pistol? I can't even see you if I don't zoom in with a sniper goddamn it!

I don't get why the AI is like this in Online. Yeah, the police AI is brutal in SP but at least they don't have an aimbot.

So here's the thing about online games that are trying to push buying in game cash with real money. They make the game much harder than single player for example, to incentivise making money quicker by buying shark cards. So yeah, A.I is godlike and will kill you very easily, a super tough mission will only net you like 20k or so. But if you buy a shark card, you can make much more than that instantly.

I wish gta:online was like RDR online.

Three game modes to choose from:

1. Friendly - players can only kill NPCs. PvP disabled. blips always appear on radar. auto-aim/aim bot enabled.

2. Normal - wanted level not attained till 5 player kills. PvP enabled. blips always appear on radar. auto-aim/aim bot enabled.

3. Hardcore - wanted level not attained till 5 player kills. PvP enabled. blips on appear when a player is firing a weapon, making loud noises, moving at a high rate of speed. free-aim/aim bot disabled.

People have a bounty placed on them they can't leave until they lose the bounty

If they shut off their platforms or close the game they automagically get the amount the bounty is worth taken from them and given to everyone in the lobby e.g.

5k bounty leaves, 5k taken for every player in a game (16 players) 80k taken from you.

LOL NO!

People got sh*t to do man. Leaving a lobby or quitting the game with a bounty isn't always to escape from an attacker. I've gotten plenty of bounties put on me just before I was about leave a session. I'm not going to remain in-game for an additional 48mins or risk losing 100k.

Ive also had a bounty on me in a full lobby and no one cares, so I join a job.

It is annoying to have bounties join a job in the middle of a chase but maybe they can restrict job joining to only be enabled when the bounty is in their apt or garage.

Hey, this thread is for Idea's to improve the game not idea's that will most likely piss everyone off.

Agreed. Definitely my experience as well--and I always buy and use the extra heavy stuff. I noticed that at level 75 you can buy and store more armor (that info doesn't show up in most rank unlock lists online BTW); just wish it lasted longer (cost more would be ok)...annoying to have to jump through the menu maze to "recloak" so you don't get killed right in the middle of a gunfight.

Hmm; currently, at level 61, I can only store five of the super heavy armor (wearing one, four in storage).
