CarnageRacing00
Oh for f*ck sake! The vehicles handle fine. Unlike some games the developers of this one tried to give us something that's easy to learn and hard to master as well as trying to make it appeal to as many people as possible. It is an absolute joy to use vehicles in this game because they feel epic, deep and rewarding. If it's really too much for you, go play all those other open world games with sh*tty vehicle physics and unpredicable vehicle behaviour and feel. I cant believe how under-appreciated this game is, especially on a f*cking forum made for GTA fans. Entitlement, narcissism and cynicism is like a plague this day and age. Truly sad that people can't realize the bullsh*t that comes out of their mouths. Jphunter0 and Sussus Amongus
trantula_77
I do love the irony of people talking about how the driving on V sucks, whilst hailing the ultra arcadey flying in IV. IV has some of the most realistic flying in GTA. This flight system is awful. It has woefully exaggerated turbulence and the turbulence that is simulated is more like a ship on in heavy seas rather than a helicopter in flight. It is impossible to force the helicopter into a nose dive which was possible on IV. There is a limited ability to do an extreme maneuver in these helicopters in reality. Additionally the center of gravity is totally wrong and causes the turbulence to be all out of control. I fly on air evac helicopters in terrible conditions and I've never experienced anything like I have on this game. This is not realism, its poor programming. Completing a stable and controlled helicopter landing is nowhere near as smooth as in reality. I will say that even though I maintain that turbulence is still far over exaggerated it is pretty cool that the planes have problems with yaw and it can be corrected with better rudder control. It would be much nicer if the turbulence was heavy in rain/storm and nearly absent in clear conditions. Oh for f*ck sake! The vehicles handle fine. I get that entitlement is terrible but this is constructive criticism of the flight controls that many of us think were a downgrade from their prior helicopter physics. Vercetti Thug
You gotta get that flight skill up, bruh. Bruh? Huh? Really? Is that a new language or is it a Jeep thang? It's getting hard keeping up with kids elite speak.
Raynos
Lets face it, Driving was perfect in GTA IV, even better when EFLC came out. It was spot-on. The damage system was crazy good and really, GTA IV Rocked in Driving, the best open world driving IMO. Flying, well.. I don't have much of an issue with the flying in V, once you get your Flying Skill up, its not too bad, having said that, anyone here ever got a lift from Merry Weather in Online? That pilots flying skill has to be -10, you can get motion sickness from that sh*t, dude needs to up his skill level. I get that entitlement is terrible but this is constructive criticism of the flight controls that many of us think were a downgrade from their prior helicopter physics. I've played open world games with much worse flight controls than this. I'm all up for more realism but Rockstar need to find a good balance of accessibilty and realism and I think they did a great job on this game. I was sick of all the complaining about IV's handling being too difficult and they did their best to make it still feel good in V without making it too hard for beginners to handle. No matter what happens to the handling, not everyone's going to be satisfied but I am just grateful the vehicles still feel deep and weren't reduced to crap like saints row handling or watch dogs or any other gta clone besides Mafia II, which in my opinion was the only Gta clone with decent vehicle physics besides Gta. I think some people just need to take a serious look at what we got, and be thankful that it wasn't ruined. V is one of the most impressive games I have ever played on almost every level. It would just be nice to see some more positive stuff on this forum. Edited November 25, 2014 by XBlade1X Jphunter0
Gnocchi Flip Flops
Isn't it funny how all of a sudden people like IV's driving when they used to complain about it all of the time? Now all of a sudden V is out and they love it. V's driving is exactly what they asked for and they're still whining. I bet it's the same people complaining. Rockstar gave them what they wanted and they still complain. People are never happy. What was so great about IV's driving anyways. It felt like I was driving on ice all of the time and every sports car drove like a boat. You can't even make a corner without spinning for miles. And people like this sh*t? Really? V's driving is undoubtedly better and more realistic than IV's whacky physics. Just kidding, I'm busting your balls. I'm not a f*cking idiot. Vercetti Thug
I thought IV driving was bad. They were cars, not boats. V driving is much better. Helicopters, thats another story......... But last time I checked, GTA games are open world mayhem games, not a driving sim or flying sim. You want the most realistic driving or flying? Go play a simulator. You want massive mayhem? GTA fits the bill.
P2FX
Why does some people keep saying cars in IV handle like boats? They are not, they handle near exactly like they should. I was immediately impressed when I first got into a car in that game back in 2008. And it's pretty hilarious seeing those who can't drive calling IV physics lovers "retard". Go drive a Sabre Turbo in V taking some fast and slow turns, then go drive the same car in IV doing the same thing. People are starting to hate us for saying that they can't drive but judging by the way they describe the handling, they must not be good drivers. If you slide when you try to take a corner, learn how to brake. If you keep oversteering into a corner, learn how to control your steering. If you think the body roll is excessive, I can see your point but TBoGT sort of toned it down. Believe me, I used to rant and rave about the body roll in IV but it's better than having no body roll at all. I can steer a Super Diamond at it's top speed and it'll only tilt just a little bit when a real Rolls Royce Phantom would almost scrape the ground. Cmon man -0 even with 100% flying stats, there's at least 30% too much turbulence AND it's too strong to boot. I don't need it flawless but it gets annoying. Officer Ronson
Guise, guise, you already took over the driving debate thread continiously saying how this game's driving is sh*t smelling each other's farts and destroying anybody who dared say otherwise even though the poll shows that a great porcentage actually like the driving, why can't you keep it there?
