PittDawg
Been reading the console forums for GTA V over at gamefaqs and it seems there are few topics complaining about the cops:( So it appears R* did absolutely no adjustments to their over sensitive if not flawed cop system. Hopefully the modders can correct this? However this leads me to be believe they have more than likely not adjusted the online enemy npc's as well and they will remain 1 shotting members of seal team six:(
Evan-KCR
I think they have changed a little. People have seen them patrolling, I don't know much more than that though. But I don't think it's something modders can fix.
_MK_
What about the part when shooting in the middle of nowhere while using a suppressor and still get a wanted level, still there or gone ? I think they have changed a little. People have seen them patrolling, That's just traffic, has nothing to do with the AI as far as i know. Not sure though. You are right, just toke a look at V's page at the PS4/XB1 store page it has no "upgraded AI" it's only on Steam's page. Turned out that the "upgraded AI" is also mentioned on the consoles store page when using other languages but not in english ,what kinda retard sh*t is that, anyway. Modders can pretty much do anything these days,IV a living proof. Edited November 24, 2014 by MKIIIX
wapster
Shame- I wanted the cops in V to use nightsticks and tasers on a 1- star wanted lvl, or maybe use an expanded melee system to do grapples. That would be awesome. OneManCrimeWave and Pusman

Modders wouldn't have to necessarily mess with the A.I. It appears R* is still using their "spawn circle" around the player which has never been good. Modders could possibly make the radius a lot bigger and turn down the sensitivity?

McDodge34
In Online PS3, I've seen them spawn in front of me while I was evading, that is totally not fair, I was escaping and bam, 2 patrol cars spawned out of nowhere on the highway, but I've never ever seen a game were cops would act normally, if someone has any title where the cops are normal, let me know, I'm interested. I guess its a pact with Rockstar and some anti-criminality or anti-violent lobby that prevent them from making the cops normal in their games. Just stolen a car and there was no cops around it or anyone to call the cops, then bam 1 star wanted level, its not fair either cause IRL, if I decide to grab any car in my area, the cops won't be instantly on me (of course that would be different if I grabbed a cop car in their local parking spot near my house of course, they never lock the doors and keys are in the ignition at all time here, but that isn't the plan anytime soon)

I mean you could literally kill a few NPC's before even getting 1 star( or w/e notification the game used ). GTA V you fire off a gun in the middle of nowhere and you get a star. Reminds me of the "your crime has been reported" days of morrowind lol.

Yup, almost forgot about theses games, I have them somewhere, but they aren't as fun like GTA series, that's why I love to have a trainer to disable cops and cause mayhem and have so much fun, or activate god mode and cause a massive cop rampage mayhem killing everything they get at me. DentureDynamite
Keep in mind that there *is* a big patch/update coming (heists--I still believe! lol), so hopefully we'll see some reality to the claim...unless the over-bearing cops *is* the "upgraded AI" (shudders) In saints row 1 and 2 they did not act normally but they were nowhere as sensitive nor was the system they used. DentureDynamite
Ramming you isn't a problem--it's a great implementation of AI, just like the cops trying to "box" you in so you can't drive off (and then they shoot you--happens to me on occasion lol; fricken cops...) My beef with GTAV's AI system is five-fold: 1) How police know a crime has been committed (should be realistic; such as silenced weapons not being heard, and crimes out of visual sight or remote areas should draw no police; but if an NPC sees a crime being committed he/she can call it in via smart phone) 2) The speed and magnitude they respond with should be realistic; not overdone like it is as of this writing, where you can get three stars for petty crimes (part of this could be improved with realistic police presence on the roads--but not a blooming cop every six feet like in GTA IV! geez) 3) The endlessly spawning police cars/choppers/N.O.O.S.E. needs to be ditched badly (just like endlessly spawning zombies in games *gag*). The LSPD isn't going to send their whole police force after one person (including choppers) just for stealing a car. 4) Accuracy and firepower of police/N.O.O.S.E. NPCs needs to be realistic--right now, it is way, way over-buffed and unrealistically accurate given the circumstances the shooting occurs in. And two shots from an NPC right now eliminates even super heavy armor. :-O 5) There needs to be more variety to losing cops/N.O.O.S.E. whether in cars or choppers--and it would be nice to be able to lose them on foot if you're in a complex building area (such as Franklin's district). Right now, the only 100% reliable ways to lose them is in a long tunnel or outrun them (height or speed over time). It is possible to "hide" in plain sight in a few locations (e.g. car wash next to one of the 24/7 convienience stores), but this should work more often. More variety means greater creativity for the gamer, and less of a feeling of annoyance and boredom of "sigh; back into the usual tunnel to lose these jerks"... All of this is badly in need of fixing. Edited November 28, 2014 by DentureDynamite McDodge34 and OneManCrimeWave

All of this is badly in need of fixing. Would also like to add the fact that cops and enemies vehicles become turbo charged tanks during missions or screwing around is also in need of changing. The cops are far from fine maybe some people aren't secure enough to critique aspects of the game which are clearly messed up for fear that it might somehow conflict with them liking the game overall? I don't know? But I do know this over sensitive primitive system R* continues to use has got to go. A state wide manhunt because I shot an NPC in the middle of the woods or stole a car is a tad excessive DentureDynamite and McDodge34

The cops are just fine, I don't even mind them ramming me while I'm driving at top speeds with a supercar, so what? Its fun IMO. The cops are utterly insane in this game. In past games, if you had one star, the cops wouldn't shoot you (sometimes they would if you jumped on top of a car, which may have been a bug)... in GTA V/Online, they shoot to kill the moment they start coming after you. One-star is literally nothing more than a guaranteed gateway to a two-star wanted level, which is just stupid. Why does the game add another star? Is it because we're "resisting" the cops desire for us to stand there and let them fill us with lead? f*ck that. And it's ridiculous how you could disable the cops in GTA IV's freeroam, but you can't in this game. I could be here talking about how ridiculous the A.I. is in this game in general, but I've already done that alongside many others in the Official Bitch & Moan thread, so meh, lol. But the cops are anything BUT fun. DentureDynamite

That's why I love the PC version, a trainer like Simple Trainer for GTAIV has all the options for this, and it even works in MP mode, you just can't connect to a vanilla server, only the ones that have the mod can play with you, but that's exactly what I hope will happen with GTAV, no trainers can go on the real Vanilla Online server, the ones that have a trainer can only join the others that also have a trainer installed, that way, there's no cheating on real vanilla servers.
