So... Golf Is Hilariously Broken On PS4

Went from usually hitting a 7 under par to... 4 over. And it's not just about me suddenly sucking at my favorite activity in the game, I'm talking about glitches and bugs everywhere, making it impossible to play a real game.

 

To name the things that happened during our game;

The grid to putt kept disappearing.

Celebrations on pars and bogeys.

Wind with insane inconsistency. 6 MPH straight took me off the playing field into the street.

Nonsensical starting hints from bunker. (Tells you to go straight into the other bunker)

Camera randomly spinning around after you hit it, making you lose track of the ball and where to spin it.

The hole itself is impossible sometimes. I'm talking balls falling in, bouncing out, and staying in mid air. (Happened to me four times.)

Character falling down after putts.

Character missing the automatic putt (still counts it).

Characters clipping through the green.

Characters standing in front of you when you go to hit the ball. (Hitting them causes them to fall over.)

 

Yeah, some of this stuff happened before, but never all in one game and especially as constant as it was. I'm not even mad though, it led to some seriously funny moments with some friends.

However, I'm going to have to advise everyone to stay well away from this activity till it gets fixed.

If they've broken arm wrestling them I'm done. I can take Dickstar's broken promises, broken game and broken payout system, but I refuse to play with a broken arm wrestling minigame. It's the only reason I still play Online.

I would love to see a blooper reel set to Benny Hill of characters landing putts and then falling over limp... someone make this!

 

As for arm wrestling, I haven't yet tested my fap muscles against anyone in new gen yet. I keep them well trained so I'm ready for a challenge.

Same here. The only reason I bought the game in the first place is because I thought GTA stood for Grand Theft Armwrestling.

Havent golfed on new gen yet. Experienced more lag and glitchiness golfing on ps3 than doing anything else.

 

Butt putting was the funniest, if you saw it you know what I mean.

 

Once heard the chaos of free roam and saw tanks blowing up cars and trying to shoot inside the course to no avail.

I've had them miss the automatic putt before on PS3. The level of fail didn't even make me mad as it was stupidly hilarious.

lol, you mad bro? Last gen owners can be really petty can't they? To answer your question, no I do not feel superior. But obviously new gen gta is superior to last gen.

How about we start comparing when the ps4/x1 gets content that the old systems can't handle (casino, additional locations etc) and the 360/ps3 just gets cars and guns that we will likely still receive anyway.

Anyway, I'm sure golf will be easily patched up soon enough

I just checked, and the only videos on YouTube seem to be last gen...

 

There is a way of uploading game-play footage with the new gen consoles, the PS4 has a 'Share' button for uploading screen-shots to FaceBook/Twitter and videos directly onto YouTube.

Dang! I mean next gen owners may have better graphics, better draw distances, more AI, bigger lobbies, first person mode but hell you guys have a working golf minigame

I've completed everything besides weapon tints. The great thing about GTA Online is the possibility to play for 5 hours and never do the same thing twice. Mission, Land Race, Deathmatch, Golf, Capture, Freemode stunt tricks, LTS, Air Race, Tennis, Freemode killing spree, Deliver Simeon cars, GTA land race... ..oh look, is it midnight already, huh!?

 

LOL at these kids like ugotsmoked who don't even dare to try different things in the game.
