Didn't realize this thread related to my issue as well.

 

Yeah, I'm getting the same thing most people here are getting. The only pages that seem to work normally are locked threads and sub-forums. As soon as I go into an open thread, try to open my PMs or go to the main GTAF page, the messed up "no style" format shows up. Same as the screenshot in the OP.

 

Running Chrome 64-bit with Adblock and Google Docs/Sheets/Slides.

 

EDIT: Tested with a brand new Firefox install. Same issue persists.

This issue is definitely isolated and it doesn't affect everyone at once. I hope staff are working to find a solution.

In order to help, it's best we provide as much information as possible. Any error messages we see, when it happened, which browser and which version, addons.

I am on Version 39.0.2171.65, on both my laptop and desktop - the issue still occurs

 

I disabled all of my add ons (Tampermonkey, Stylish, AdBlock Plus) and I still face the issue

Threads are back to normal for me (at the time of writing, it might change later on lol). PMs are still screwed.

I'm on Version 39.0.2171.65 of Chrome with this issue.

 

Also, I have issues when I'm in a thread and there's a new reply. You know how you can click to see the new replies? I do, but nothing happens. Also, whenever I post a reply to a thread, it never reloads and shows my post. I have to physically hit refresh to see my new post in the thread. I also can't go into the Member Directory and click "More Search Options." Nothing happens (E - just tried this one on Firefox and Safari, and it fails to work on those browsers, too). So yeah, lots of Chrome issues with this site.

I have this too, but intermittently. Sometimes it loads fine after a post, lately not so much, though it still goes through sometimes. I only know because I usually have to reopen the page in a new tab, just to be sure that reloading isn't going to lose all my text.

 

The "new replies" link hasn't worked once in some time.

 

Most current version of firefox (33.1.1), but also 31.0, which I've had to revert to for unrelated reasons.

This happens when there's a new reply before you finish yours. It's been happening to me for weeks, so I really just don't care anymore, lol kinda got used to it :lol:

It's been like that for months.

As you said, I've gotten used to it.

 

Seems I'll have to get used to this site looking like an unfinished 1997 web page as well.

Yes, I also have this problem too. I figured it wasn't a huge problem since I can easily refresh :p I thought staff was gonna fix that.

You know you love it. It's the new look. It's not rolled out for everyone yet, but it's a fresh change of design. Now if only they could make it on mobile too..

Well something is being worked on, because the main page works fine for me again, and the threads still work. Now all that's left is the PMs.

 

I have no idea why it doesn't seem to be fixed for others, though. Is this issue specific to location? It doesn't seem to be browser-related, at least initially, since other people on Chrome seem to be able to access things as usual.

I've never had this problem, yet a lot of people seem to be reporting it. I'm on the same version as Panz (not sure if there's a new version or not?): "Version 39.0.2171.65"

opened up chrome's console and clicked on this, it momentarily showed me the 502 page before continuing to the raw code and now everything seems to be working fine

 

I think cloudflare's got the hiccups

 

edit: seems to be the same deal with all the broken pages, if I just keep opening up their respective css then it's all right as rain :p

So gathering everything around in a list:

 

- Reporting

- Locked threads

- Creating threads

- Sending private messages

- Viewing private messages

- Random threads

- Missing CSS completely

- Broken format

- Profiles

- Appears to be mostly on Chrome (no addons are causing this)

 

It's random for everyone, and not everyone is affected.

 

Reporting a post in Console comes up with:

I managed to retrieve the CSS files itself, and no 502 error comes up on the CSS itself. Seems definitely strange how the console lists a 502 error, but there is no 502 error to begin with when you are checking the actual CSS file. Tried force cache refresh, but still displayed the CSS file fine. Edited by Franceska

Hmm, I don't think that's the issue. Since a fresh Mozilla install also faces the exact same issues (with no imported settings or extensions).

 

Haven't tried a fresh Chrome install, though.

Internet explorer, freshly installed mozilla firefox & updated Chrome; all return the same missing CSS and complete lack of any format.

Maybe it's a regional thing.

AdBlock Plus has been working ever since I started using the forums, and it's not made to block CSS styling completely. It can only block certain parts, but only when you add it manually to the settings.

 

This is something that is not caused by the user nor their plugins as shown by the users above.

 

Fresh installs have the same issue.

This seems more likely, but that doesn't explain why, when I retrieved the CSS files, it did not come with a 502 error.

Seems more related to ISP and GTAF's hosting. I've tried different computers, with different browsers over three PT ISP and didn't any error.
