WHAT!?
PC needs to hurry up and get that showcase update. There's no snapshot pro on pc? I think we're getting it today. I'm downloading an update off of Origin as I type this. The PC version was released with only the first two DLC packages. We're getting Showcase and Hot Rods just now. Edited March 30, 2016 by WHAT!? JRC99
Picked it up. Started with the 5.0, natch. Anyone want to fill the Mustang GT lettering on the skirts and bumpers in black for me? Paint is a smooth white, non metallic with no clearcoat. (Lettering I meant.) HAD to get a '32 3 window. It's a good game, but it has issues. Drifting has two modes (I don't mean the tuning. This is with the handling slightly leaning towards Drift, on drift tires.): "Slide you f*cking pig!" or "Straighten up you piece of sh*t!" Either you can't drift, or the car literally drives straight down the road while GLIDING towards the guardrail! Also, how about a '68 Camaro? Game could use a few more classic muscle/pony cars, seeing as the only two are Mustangs. Edited April 5, 2016 by JRC99 WHAT!?

chronic lumbago
The legends update does look very promising. I just hope the quest to beat Eddie won't be three races long. They're finally listening to the NFS community and if they keep going like this, the next NFS game might actually be on par or even better than U2 and Most Wanted. /toolazytopostlink
DEALUX
^ That pretty much hinges on whether the car handling\physics will be any good. I haven't played this NFS game but it doesn't look very different compared to the previous Criterion\Ghost titles. I'm really not a fan of this arcadey bullsh*t handling. For f*ck's sake, even the first Underground game had a better balance between arcade and sim handling. The other sins that the NFS series is predominantly guilty of is rubber-banding A.I. and a lack of difficulty balancing. This is a recipe for frustration. I don't know why rubber-banding is still acceptable as a standard when it comes to programming AI. I think the Forza series have something more clever implemented in their AI but that remains to be seen when I finally get to play these games. chronic lumbago
You're right. Especially drift trains, they put every piece of bullsh*t this game has to offer in one race. Ivan1997GTA

Adrian J.
Proving you don't need a 911 RSR or Beck Kustom to win I've tweaked the handling for a long time, but now it drives like it's Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012
chronic lumbago
Speaking about handling, what's the perfect setting for most races? Going full drift makes some cars slide every time you push the stick and I can't hit any curve with a grip car.
Adrian J.
My handling is a mix, the car is stable but with a little tap of brakes it slides to a corner just like you've seen on the video. Handbrake helps with those tight corners. This is my setup for the R32, and only list the things I changed, the rest is untouched. Steer Response-3 clicks towards Slow Steer Range-3 clicks towards Wide Brake Strength-Max to More Brake Bias-Max to Front Handbrake Strength-Max to Strong Nitrous-Max to Power The only downside to my Skyline is the wing, sometimes I can't see what's in front of me. So you use brake to drift assist and drift stability assist? Also, Stock tires? That handling looks sweet!

Tails Prower
Apologies if this has already been covered somewhere in the topic but I've been so focussed on GTA Online/GTA V since it came out I've only just learnt that this current NFS game has a livery editor and from doing a Google search I am seeing anime liveried cars/decals. Can anyone confirm this who has played game? I presume they are rewards from completing online challenges which I was initially put off this game by being online only and I am not that good a racer, but I really like the NFS series of games and I have dreamt of being able to drive anime liveried cars as that's my other main interest out with video games and would give me an incentive to purchase/play this game for the time being. Thank you in advance. Edited May 2, 2016 by tails_prower_2040

The game has a livery sharing option, those anime liveries were made by someone, then shared. there's no need to unlock anything, you just need to find them among the shared liveries for each car. Tails Prower
But where is the promised soundtrack from the previous games?? I only just purchased recently but 99% certain the music from previous games is in the soundtrack as when I was in the garage I could hear music from the original PC Need for Speed release playing in the background, the final track of that game..
