Heists
What if I want to master the game and use everything? I really wanna like this game but EA won't let me. And if this FB integration is one of the reasons why NFS is always online then it's veeery retarded. EA isn't catering the game just for you you idiot. Many people like the social integration. If you choose to hate the game because you can't live with the fact that you missed one part of it out then that's your problem not EA's or the game's. Sunrise Driver
Should I also mention always online, Wii / mobile-like handling and retardest music? Clearly EA isn't making the game for me. But why were they lying about "roots" and "ultimate NFS"? Many people like the social integration. The same people have never played anything before Hot Pursuit 3 I guess. "Ooow game has features other people like, I must hate the game now even though I could ignore it very easily". Life has compromises, and this is one of them. I suggest deal with it. No game is and will have the content perfect for everyone and you hating this one because of that is incredibly naive of you.
MyName'sJeff
Always online is not consumer friendly. Stop licking EA's ass and get back to reality. This is going to kill the franchise permanently and its because of microtransactions, always online and the sh*tTY servers. Not to mention the sh*tty driving physics, lack of deep customization which they even confirmed themselves and the apparent photos being turned into in game currency. This is not need for speed, this is need for greed: Money. SilverRST, B Dawg and Sunrise Driver
Heists
This is going to kill the franchise permanently and its because of microtransactions, always online and the sh*tTY servers. I'm fairly confident other games have survived with the stuff you have listed implemented into them. Always online is not consumer friendly. Stop licking EA's ass and get back to reality. I'm not defending the always online (which will be on dedicated servers and not "sh*tTY" ones), but I'm pretty confident in saying only a small minority such as yourself will get affected by this barrier as long as the game works properly. Which in turn will not kill the series, though if it goes wrong they can still turn it off or release another game the year after without the restriction. NFS ain't going anywhere. ...and the apparent photos being turned into in game currency. This is not need for speed, this is need for greed: Money. The photo currency thing or similar models have been done for years in other games, it won't effect you nor be a problem for you in gameplay. ...lack of deep customization which they even confirmed themselves... You got a source for that? Edited August 11, 2015 by Heists

They even included performance tuning again. Indeed. Would be quite strange if it wasn't deep considering Marcus Nielsen went up on stage at E3 and stated that the game "has the deepest customisation out of any NFS"; well something along those lines. EA should care about the occasional folk with poor internet service . and i think one of the reasons of always online is to combat piracy . I think it's a control thing. People don't want to be told they have to be online to play a game that's SP as well as MP. What if your internet connection dies (still common), or you have limited data (which people do)? I personally don't like it. If I want to play the game, I shouldn't have to be connected to load it up. That has no bearing on single player. But single player is a dying form. I don't think always online is that beneficial to gaming. I don't think it's to combat piracy, or to offer the best experience. This IS EA we're talking about. Nothing they do is in the benefit of the gamers, but to their own. That's not to say they make some good games, and this game does look good. Can't see me buying it, though. Flachbau
I don't like the canards on the BRZ.As for everything else, graphics look on par. Customization is very in depth, which is something I was hoping for. It's not as in depth as MC:LA, but it's still pretty dope. I hope they add more options and features in the game if possible. The handling looks decent, but as he mentioned it had a wide turning radius, so in other cars it'll obviously be better. The only thing missing is changing the state on your license plate and suspension.. suspension wasn't included because it's a performance option which the players were locked out of. Am i missing something here? I guess neon, and window tint? Edited August 15, 2015 by einjzmolf
Flachbau
Maybe that wasn't the correct thing to say, but I'll explain what I mean. MCLA allows you to change tire width, height, and profile.. I'm not sure if that's possible in NFS, but it would be cool to have. Doors, neon, and custom plates for whatever state you want aren't in the game, either. Maybe I'm the one missing something AztecaEh

einjzmolf
You can have stretched tires, and tire width might be a performance option. It's hard to say but we're missing alot of info by not seeing any performance screens.

And second, it absolutely is EA's problem because they are making a conscious decision to make the game always online and to lock away content behind social integration. They don't have to do that. It doesn't benefit anyone and it's an abysmal idea. And everyone with half a brain can see why. I can bet anything that this wasn't a decision made by the developers. This was obviously a decision made by an executive who doesn't know how the f*ck games are supposed to work. It reeks of that. There is nothing beneficial to the consumer about needing social integration in order to have access to the full game that they payed for. So naturally some people don't like this. So those people will not buy the game. And that is EA's problem. There are plenty of other games that people like that can spend their money on. Nit including something like this makes it very likely that EA will include new paint jobs via microtransaction... Everything else looks really cool. Aerovitia
They really need to categorizing the rims by brand name to make the navigation easier. You don't want to scroll the rim catalog for minutes only to find your favorite rims (*cough* MC3 *cough*). Other than that, the customization looks dope. The rear diffuser are separated from rear bumper, such details. Also, the Sileighty are confirmed, via body conversion mod. FINALLY.
