InfamousSabre
Should be sometime right around Christmas It will require GTA V's music to be obtained separately, so if you don't already have it, go get it! OpenIV team released it on their website a while back. You can also extract the music from audio_music.rpf yourself if you have OpenIV set up for use with GTA V. Just be sure that they are converted to MP3 format before attempting to use with Ambiance V. Edited December 19, 2014 by InfamousSabre
InfamousSabre
These are the special scenarios I'm looking at supporting.-Flight-Combat-Driving-BoatingFlight has 2 stages that alternate over time.Stage1 lasts for 1 minute. Stage2 lasts for two minutes.Combat has 3 stages that change depending on the severity of combat.Stage1: No enemy ped can see you.Stage2: An enemy ped can see you.Stage3: An enemy ped with a gun can see you. The Combat event now works alongside the Wanted event and does not have its own track. Everything flows much better this way. The above stages still applyDriving has 3 stages that change depending on the way you drive.Stage1: Cruising - Driving over 53.5 mph (apx 86.5 kph). (Speed to trigger stage can be changed)Stage2: Speeding - Driving over 80.5 mph (apx 129.5 kph).(Speed to trigger stage can be changed)Stage3: Car in air.Boating has 2 stages that change depending on the way you drive(boat?).Stage1: Cruising - Boating over 23 knots. (Speed to trigger stage can be changed)Stage2: Speeding - Boating over 37 knots.(Speed to trigger stage can be changed) Edited December 18, 2014 by InfamousSabre

lolleroz
That is just outstanding, however I hope you'll make it so that the ambience songs automatically turn off assuming the radio is on, I remember I had your ambience with manhunt OST in it and it was quite an annoyance that the tracks played whilst the radio was on, no INI for it or anything.....by the way it's quite funny how personally I think GTA 5 ambient OST is way better than any of the radios, especially when you consider that Tangerine Dream worked on it, same guys who made OST for Thief movie! (such a classic...)

Oh, yes. It will be completely customizable. The first Ambiance was my first script and I knew nothing of settings files back then. If this version doesn't work the way you want, you can simply change some settings I'm working on getting everything working properly with the radio at the moment, actually. I'll be including settings & instructions so you can still use the old Ambiance music if you wish, also. lolleroz
Cool, well I'll probably be using GTA 5 music assuming you'll include it or something of my own (a mix of Hitman and certain movies), by the way a small idea - some track while crouching (outside of combat), possibly something stealth-ish.....would be nice for people who roleplay or just try sniping their targets while out of view I guess....... Unfortunately I cannot include any of the GTA V music. However, the default music data file is already set up to use with the GTA V music folders from OpenIV team's release. You can also extract the music from audio_music.rpf yourself if you have OpenIV set up for use with GTA V. Just be sure that all the files are converted to MP3 format before attempting to use with Ambiance V. After you have the music files/folders, simply copy the folders over. I'll have a detailed installation video up later. If you put together your own playlist, please share it I'd really like to see what others come up with. I'm using your recoil module and it's awesome, although I'm experiencing the script crashing on default IV (it works fine on EFLC though) so I'm just using the accuracy modifiers, sadly. InfamousSabre
Done some updating. Combat is no longer a special scenario, but rather an event that works alongside the Wanted event. Details above in my previous post explaining special scenarios. I want to reiterate that this script will require GTA V's music to be obtained separately, so if you don't already have it, go get it! OpenIV team released it on their website a while back, but the site their download link points to is down. If you have OpenIV set up for use with GTA V, you can extract the files from audio_music.rpf yourself. Otherwise, I'm sure a quick google search for audio_music.rpf should point you in the right direction. Remember, you need the files/folders from inside the rpf archive. The rpf archive alone will not do any good unless you have OpenIV set up for GTA V. All files must be in .MP3 format. OpenIV (at the time of writing) exports to .WAV, so you'll have to run a batch converter on them if you're doing the ripping yourself. Rented
Really nice, but in V 'chase' music only starts at 3 stars and there is no music playing while driving(outside of missions) also in the first video at 3:00 that isn't a chase music but the music that's playing when loosing the cops. I really like this mod, I hope we can add our own score, I would really like to use some bits of the IV, TBoGT and TLaD theme as the score. Edit: I understand we can use our own track, but can we disable music that is meant to be playing during driving and boating? Edit: I understand we can use our own track, but can we disable music that is meant to be playing during driving and boating? Lol, trust me, after the amount of time I've spent analyzing it, I know exactly how V's music works by now. I added events to tend to everyone's personal preferences. Since such preferences vary person to person, everything that should be editable is editiable. So yes, you can remove and add any music you want by editing the track data file. When adding music, be aware that these are multi-track scores. You cannot just use a single track song and expect it to intensify with the action like GTA V's music does. If you want to do it right, you'll have to obtain a multi-track version of the music you want to add, then split it up into 8 files. I won't go into detail with this part. Anyone with an ear for music should be able to listen to V's tracks and understand what parts of the score each file 1-8 contains, but even so, finding multi-tracks and mixing them together in a way that sounds good will take some time. Ricebox
To that end, there exist rips of multitracks taken from Rock Band with each instrument having it's own audio file. Not sure how useful that would be for replacing Ambiance's music, but anybody who's interested can find them here and here. mrassassin560
Hey I'm sorry to disturb you and I know im a couple years late (XD) But for some reason the script always fails when I play the game. There is an error: "Error in the constructor of script :'Ambience' System.IndexOutfOfRangeExeption: Index was outside of he bounds of the array" I'v arranged the Ambience directory exactly as shown, all of the files were converted to mp3 via VLC Media Player. I just don't know what do ... Btw, I've extracted ALL of the files from the gtav files.. They come in 8 parts each (except for one)
