I noticed that grass on PS2 is more dense, and grass objects seems to be bigger itself.

Or there is no way to edit this easily, and thats why PC grass looks not that good.

 

On PS2 grass often creates very nice shots in cutscenes.

Seems like you can get files from PS2, and you will have very similar fulfilling of grass, but also few color are off and makes some grass to glow like its nuclear. 

Nevermind, here is the mod that you can use and play around with grass. And glowing ones are also presented on PS2.


 

 

That mod is pretty old and before skygfx was a thing. Even the same thread mentions it. PS2 and PC grass placement is different. I don't have idea if this will be "fixed" someday or something though.

Even if mod is old, it allows you to play around with few parameters. I like that you are able to config density for example. 

Shame that not much progress was achieved with grass fade effect, you still get noticeable popping (maybe it's better than vanilla, but still not what I expected by hearing fade effect). I was just expecting RDR2 grass rendering thing :D 

Still, thanks TheHero for making this mod.

Hello! Weird glow shines from beneath along this street approximately inside the outlined area. Happens on PS2 too but maybe some map wizard wants to fix it.

It's from the underlying railroadtunnel that has a red light.

Very interesting : ) Thanks for the explanations, guys! This port has tons of things where you really struggle to find if something is a bug or feature without asking people who know the game inside and out.

It could be treated like a bug though, basically applies corona glow through the ground, like it shows vehicle shadows under bridges. Although I'm unsure if this is something that could be "fixed" without removing it entirely.

Well, I personally kinda okay with that now, knowing the cause of the problem. It is not some broken graphics like the blocky/stacked morning fog. So it is probably better leave it as is : )

Thank you for the response, but for future reference to anyone who had the same issue, I actually fixed it by simply removing 2DFX.

 

EDIT: Actually, removing 2DFX wasn't even necessary. You just need to set "StaticSunSize =0.0" in the SALodLights.ini file which I guess allows SkyGFX to handle that. Looks perfect now.

I saw this upper blue building's vertex (or prelight?) fixed here somewhere on the forum, but I somehow lost it and cant seem to find anywhere.

The game crash at the middle of loading bar after I install PS2 Models. I installed everything from the top down and goes into the game after I installed each one. Everything else worked fine.

when i installed the ps2 sky, it maked the game look blurry, i dunno why, it looks weird
