This was just a quickie, but here is the PS2 intro screen

PS2 Intro Screen

Warning : Extremely low res and blurry just like the PS2 version. I guess this is only for those hardcore PS2 fans :)

Aren't those more like loading screens rather than intro screen?

Both are included in LOADSCS.TXD. The intro screen isn't loading screen though. It's only for the show.

I thought you replace that Intro scree + loading screen, not only intro screen

Oh. Yeah only the intro screen is different between PC and PS2.

To have this loading screen equal to the ps2 just rename the file "LOADSUK.txd" to "LOADSCS.txd"

Ok the only thing remains missing to the pc version are:

-Prostitutes sounds

-Peds waypoints (Empty cluckin bell,zero workshop,outside katie's house,etc...)

-Grass(I know there's a grass mod)

-Sky gradients

NVC Shader in SilentPatch should take care of the sky gradients a bit unless you mean something else?

I still wonder what's up with the hooker sounds. Why did they cut them completely while leaving Hot Coffee :D

SilentPatch's NVC Shader doesn't do anything to the sky gradients, it only fixes the day-night transition to make it smoother. The gradients are still that blocky ugly pile of stinking donkey poop.

But isn't that the case on PS2 too?

I think so, but it's probably less noticeable due to the low resolution of the ps2 version.

I am asking, because this is PS2 features to PC thread so if PS2 has same bug then PC version isn't missing anything :p

I long for that PS2 grass rendering <3

Mix sets mod is OK for increasing rendering distance but it makes the grass loading more "blocky" where it should be smoother rendering

The originally planned hooker scene was probably similar to GTA IV and the sounds may have been meant for that version of it rather than the bouncy-car version. If the hooker would talk a lot during the "service" that would be very GTA V-like too. There is still a car blowjob animation in GTA SA but there hasn't been a mod to fully replace the III/VC-style bouncing car with a IV-like sequence without problems (retain option to accept/decline, no interference with pimping, proper money transaction, no crashes)

This happened after installing PS2 textures

FnTz5vcs.png

I think you need SilentPatch with 2-pass rendering set to on

That seems to be a common issue with the PS2 texture for electricity lines. I remember another PS2 textures mod had the exact same issue.

This is not a common problem with the PS2 texture, look at The Hero's converted PS2 textures.

Are you using any sort of two-pass rendering with SilentPatch?

its arkai's mod, i remember it had some problems, (clucking bell near grove, where the drive by mission is, the game often crashed there)

TekUltra uploded Converted PS2 Maps here http://gtaforums.com/topic/756407-relsa-ps2-to-pc-map-converter/?p=1066771438 2 GB of data compressed to less than 300 MB so I think it can be added to the OP :)

Nice.

Check the two pass rendering by Silent or use the 2-Pass by The Hero. On my game everything working fine with the textures.

I'm gonna check that. ;)

I've tried it - all the same. I just replaced by original barrio1_lae.txd, and it no longer appears.
