So, The Pay 'n' Spray is more or less completed, but there are still some collision issues where you can fall through the ground.

Wasting a fully working (a little bit glitched though) pay n spray to just make it look like the one from the second edition of the game?

Aren't those 2 supposed to be fixed by PS2 vehicles? That's an install with only PS2 Vehicles (and scripts) installed.

What's wrong with them?

Hotknife's door and the the rear right wheel of the ambulance slightly protrudes. I remember fixing them somehow in the past, but I don't know what's wrong now. And no, I didn't have @BMWSauberF1.08's fixed vanilla vehicles installed.

Thats not really fixed, its removed which is dumb because all you could do is make it being opened, fix the collission only and i'd be good to go (fully functional)

Yeah, I could do that, but I wanted to make it like on the PS2, that's why I posted it on the PS2 Features to PC topic.

Are you sure that's not included in the PS2 map?

The PS2 Map one has these doors open with a collision bug, wrong camera, and these signs indicating it's Pay 'n' Spray.

Then you didn't made it like on PS2 anyway.

Look, There's more than one version of the PS2. In the newer versions, they fixed it. The PS2 Map is based on the first version.

Thats possible yes, thanks for clearing that up.

at this point why not just include the PS2 texture to go with every model being replaced? Wouldn't that solve every problem everyone is having ie the vending machine?

Contrary to popular belief, some textures are messed up on PS2, with some PC version textures being significantly better.

It'd be best to just get whichever is better suited. Although one should probably just do so themselves or something, since some are just a case of preference.

Yes, I just saw some stuff from original PS2 version. They are broken, so in second edition (and PC version too, of course) R* replaced them with the new one. That's why so many replaced stuff in PC version. They're fixed but have different appearance in game. Some better, but many of them just mess up.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Main post has been updated:

  • SilentPatch updated to latest version, build 31.
  • PS2 textures has been fixed and updated. Since Mugetsuga disappeared a year ago and latest update on the PS2 textures pack was on July 2016. I fixed a few stuff on it, mip mapped all textures like the original package and added a better organization to the archive. Some files had a few textures from the PS2 missing, making those appear untextured in-game, while some others had broken alpha channel. Also, I added a few improvement textures to the pack as well. As an unexpected bonus thing is that the package download size is smaller, from 400MB to 200MB now. Installation is easy, just drag and drop on modloader folder. Folder names are obvious to spot:
    • PS2 Feels Default - Contains all PS2 textures as how they are on the PS2. That means low resolution as well.
    • PS2 Feels Optional - Contains a few improved textures over the PS2 textures. No high quality, still on PS2 resolution as well.

A quick comparison:

  • PS2 models has been fixed and updated. Also, new models are included like Las Venturas' palms, mexican woman painting on the Pawn Shop located in Playa del Seville and a few other. Credits for KDST for all this findings back in September, October and November.

Nice update, but the snack machine texture is still glitched, is there a fix for it available?

Also, what's the big difference between the PC and PS2 vending machines?

It's glitched because you are not using PS2 textures. The point is that the PS2 texture has alpha channel (transparency), whereas the PC texture doesn't.

Rather than using the PS2 textures, because nobody is forced to use them is just the PC texture being broken, alpha channel is broken exactly. And let's say there's different ways to fix it in any case: Use the PS2 texture exclusively for that vending machine, fix the PC texture on your own, remove that PS2 model, etc.

Personally I just quit "replacing" modding because it's a mess and I am not the one who's gonna make the game perfect.

Good. I'll check those sometime, like in a few days or so. Also, a few of those are already fixed. Since ain't models or textures issues, but ide/ipl.
