I think he means the change beteewn roads, I mean, in SA we have like 5/6 diferent roads, but the texture that makes tha change from one type to other is crap, YOEL_44 made an awesome works redoing the textures so they dont look so ugly:

Hey Guys

Are you going to bring thr ps2 menu to pc ?

I think it can be done by making the whole menu of screenshots - one for every part of the menu, but then things have to be done by scripting again, I think, so these screenshots are changing.

There was a guy who made the GTA V menu in San Andreas by this way.

Igor Bogdanoff

The guy who made the xbox mod for GTA 3 did the xbox menu.

Not so true, he basically changed background. (and ye true he moved a bit somethings iirc)

Also the GTA3 PS2 mod on YouTube made by someone, the menu has the PS2 background only and everything is wrong which looks so sh*t as well. :D

Guess Im too stupid for that \: It looks like the PS2 Version, but not the PC + PS2 feature Version. Its all blurry and some objects look strange. Also in the Cleo + modloader .rar, there are these 2 dlls, so I cant install both, because the cleo .dlls will overwrite the modloaders.

So far Im using only this:
*All-in-One: PS2 color atmosphere, car/vehicle reflections, grass and many more settings (INI included)

*Sun, lensflare, moon phases, blurred rotors and missing ped paths

*PS2 Timecyc

*PS2 Seabed

And how do I add .dff Files? English is not my native language, and this is a little bit too much for me to read and understand, so I appreciate a little bit help, thanks! :)

Since some textures need to be installed "old school" style, intead of using modloader Icreated this small bat to do it:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/qarr8ckxhwgxem6/PS2F2PC.zip

It has a small mistake in the script

the line

-open ".\\gta3.img"

must be

-open ".\\img\\gta3.img"

Hey, Mugetsuga! BTW are your textures mipmapped? Everything looks so grainy :(

BTW are your textures mipmapped? Everything looks so grainy :(

you can use @riquenunes' TXD2DDS tool and then 's Magic.TXDBuilder to apply mipmaps to textures.

Whoops, I didn't see your edit post uncaged sorry.

Strange, normally they are mipmapped.

I can't use riquenunes's tool, it compresses the textures.

To mipmap I used TxdGen with mipGenMaxLevel=15, it removed the grainy effect for me but not for you?

That's OK :) But I think I have to triplecheck the texture packs to find out why I can see that grainy effect.

Have to add that only the minority of textures are grainy. They must be caused by huge amount of different fixes I put above your Textures.

Can you post some pics? I'll go check.

Pics wont be able to show the problem since its only visible while in motion. I'll upload videos, OK?

Lust look carefully on the buildings.

1280x1024 8x anti-aliasing.

Now, for sure - IF I turn off your textures while in-game via ML menu and activate Vanilla Mipmapped textures by TJGM - BAM - almost no flickering, jittering, grain or whatever it is.

DAAAMN, youtube screwed the quality of the video :( Well it may be better than nothing, grain is visible even through the quality loss. Hope it will help.

If you mean the weird effect on the roofs when you're moving, it doesn't do that for me.

For the videos it would have been better to do them with the PS2 textures, just by looking the roads I see that's the PC textures.

Videos are made with your textures. Roads and vegetation are overriden with YOEL's stuff.

But if you dont have that effect on roofs - then the problem must be on my side. Thanks for clarifying :)

What you could try is a clean install with only the PS2 textures to be sure.

EDIT:

Problem solved

Are you also going to add back in the prostitute moans only featured on ps2?

It's on the mainpost (SilentPatch), also Mugetsuga already replied you.

The blur is probably caused by skygfx, so what you have to do is open the .ini file and find the following lines:

blurLeft= 8
blurTop= 8
blurRight= 8
blurBottom= 8
scaleOffsets=1
then change them to this:
blurLeft= 0
blurTop= 0
blurRight= 0
blurBottom= 0
scaleOffsets=0
For the draw distance it's probably PS2 Seabed so just don't put that file in your game.

@Northman

Makes the sun size bigger as on PS2 but reduces the draw distance as you saw yourself already.

If you want a big sun AND long draw distance, use Project2DFX.

But that's breaking the PS2 Vision.
