Things happen when your laptop shut down because the wire is damaged.

i have already the mod SA 2dfx & Prelighting Additions, also i have the map fixes from the ps2 map + map fixes, (only maps folder as i want to keep the pc objects), from the latest ps2map folder, what does the seabed.col files do? and the law_stream2 binary ipl file only contains the neon sign for the hotel? because i dont want to get any objects removed,

Use the files from data\maps\vegas for restored PS2 objects only, not sure about map fixes.

what do the other map files do? sf, and country? i know the only area with removed objects is LS

i just noticed on the vadim m video comparison that the pc has dynamic shadowing that the ps2´s timecyc removed isnt there a way to restore the dynamic shadowing??

stencilShadows=1 ; Enable stencil shadows (vehicles and poles)
congratulations, you can now have car reflections and dynamic shadows

well just found out that enabling the dynamic shadows lowers alot of frames for some reason :/

yeah it can handle gta sa really well with everything maxed out, i dont know whats going on maybe the skygfx cant handle it

Might be the disabled backface culling on grass together with dual-pass rendering on all objects that causes your system to cry. My laptop can handle all this with just little headroom, using P2dfx to further enhance the drawdistance however causes it to dip below 30 fps in very few scenario's.

i enabled but it still has the same effect but the frames are inconsistant they go from 60 to 50 while i was playing, its weird that with out mods i can play gta sa on max setting no problem and now i cant turn on some shadows with oput it dropping frames

Also are u playing in windowed bordeless mode? I had some fps problems with it, try playing without it

im playing mine fullscreen bordeless mode, it would be amazing if someone could fix the 60 fps bugs like the cars being abled to be moved just by running in to them, but im playing gta just like i would play it in the past with out the ps2 mod and it worked like a charm, something here just isnt adding up right in the mod maybe something just doesnt mix well when i turn on the shadows

Like I said, dual-pass rendering might be the cause of your dropped performance, try adjusting skygfx.ini (near the bottom you can adjust which objects receive 2 passes and which wont).

I remember seeing screenshots of one that was made a few months ago (in this thread I think) but it wasn't released for some reason and put on pause forever.

I meant the menu of pausing the game, not a pause of the project :p Sad to hear that anyway.

 

The files were lost due to an HDD failure last I heard...

I heard it was a fake SS, made with photoshop. Not sure though.

Hi everybody :)

 

I'm actually searching for the best way possible to correct all the sh*tty object placement that R* did. The fact is that I want to keep the GTA SA PC "extra" objects wich in my opinion, makes the game better (things like trashes, some grass, cars body, etc).

 

I know that there's this mod http://gtaforums.com/topic/754830-relsa-ps2-map-map-fixes/

 

But it's deleting PC objects...

 

Is there any way to get map fixes from this one without deleting pc objects ? Thanks :)

Only install vegas maps folder then, that will add the missing stuff from the PS2 on the PC map without losing the PC objects.

Back again with one more question ! Please, can sombody tell me how to increase draw distance while keeping a good seabed.ipl for big sun effect ?

I use the seabed with Project2DFX, haven't specifically looked for if it has any effect on the sun or not, though.
