sweetcub2343
I noticed that all my fully modded cars in single player and gta online feel extremely slow. 120mph max in first person view on the highway with lvl4 engine, trans and turbo everything. cheetah, adder, all of them feel so slow. they should be hitting 190mph+ easily whats going on? it felt much faster on 360. could it be the armor? Lethal Vaccine
It's not armor. That is a myth, and a lousy myth at that. Anybody who spews that from their mouth is a fool. The game isn't that revolutionary to have weight added to the vehicle due to armor being added inside LSC. Â However, I don't have the PS4 Version so I don't know how slow or fast Vehicles are. All I know is they are way TOO fast on the PS3/360 Version that I still have. I actually prefer Vehicles UNmodded...Lol... Tez2
Same with PS3 ( tried it with speedometer mod ) . 140 MPH top speed for jets/planes and 120 MPH for cars .
Karakurt
This is what disappoint me the most. Â Op is right, every car that he mentionned shoulda easily hit 180 mph. Another thing is that cars acceleration tend to slow down from 70 mph even though the tachometer is not at red zone, in other words, not maxed out what. Technically speaking, they seem to reach the 0-60 mph (0-100 kph) as fast as their in-real-life variants, but tend to slow down towards 70 mph. Â And what I don't understand is that when Franklin's slow-motion super power is on, the speedometer pointer increases progressively, until the tachometer is maxed out: then when you turn slow-motion off there you could notice that you have gained some speed, but your car will slow down back to 120 mph. Â Has R* done this done intentionally? If so, why? Because the game would look laggy due to the 30 fps limit? Because too realistic? Because the map wouldn't be able to keep up with the speed? Or probably because of the rendering speed. Edited November 20, 2014 by Karakurt
Lethal Vaccine
You guys know why? Â Rockstar programmed the Turbo in the Vehicles to SLOW you down instead of SPEED you up. It does the opposite effect now. That's a pretty bad bug, imo.... Arrows to Athens
SonofUgly
Vehicles in the last gen versions never went that fast, either. It's not armor. That is a myth, and a lousy myth at that. Anybody who spews that from their mouth is a fool. The game isn't that revolutionary to have weight added to the vehicle due to armor being added inside LSC. Check carcols.meta, there's actually a weight variable for vehicle mods. From beachbum's carcols.meta: <Item> <identifier /> <modifier value="20" /> <audioApply value="1.000000" /> <weight value="0" /> <type>VMT_ARMOUR</type> </Item> <Item> <identifier /> <modifier value="40" /> <audioApply value="1.000000" /> <weight value="10" /> <type>VMT_ARMOUR</type> </Item> <Item> <identifier /> <modifier value="60" /> <audioApply value="1.000000" /> <weight value="20" /> <type>VMT_ARMOUR</type> </Item> <Item> <identifier /> <modifier value="80" /> <audioApply value="1.000000" /> <weight value="30" /> <type>VMT_ARMOUR</type> </Item> <Item> <identifier /> <modifier value="100" /> <audioApply value="1.000000" /> <weight value="40" /> <type>VMT_ARMOUR</type> </Item> Â Â TheGoodSgtScooter and Sussus Amongus
Mr Tomato
Yeah this is ridiculous, plus the too speed stat in lsc is never altered by any upgrades which is stupid, I wouldn't care about some texture pop ins I want to be able to go fast

Karakurt
Interesting facts right here. Â Â The reason is here. I've stated this in other threads, but people don't understand the Turbo is programmed to SLOW the car down in PS4. It's glitched/bugged... Â Programmed? I hope it's a bug because the way I hear that makes me feel like they've done it intentionally. I hope it gets fixed. Â It sucks having indifferent top speed from each car. Â Anyway, no matter if your super car has turbo or not, it won't go any faster than 120 mph. Edited November 21, 2014 by Karakurt

CH14R1
this is too much bullsh*t, a koenigsegg or a mclaren topping 120mph, i guess i'll drive a bicycle to the missions now. And the point is, the cars are slightly slower on new gen than previous ones which already were totally wrong. It was the feature i was expecting most to be issued, real speed and not this sh*t. Â This proves even more this is a kids game, only them can be impressed with astounding 120mph Edited November 24, 2014 by CH14R1
Mr Tomato
So I think I've found something interesting... Or not, but is it normal for a Vapid Dominator to make 177Mph with ease on the third engine upgrade? If not let me know

Karakurt
It does, although not by much. Take a look at this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0ApiGXMZWntrKdGF5Qmx1Z3Rrdm5PTHlrNFd0ckcwaFE&gid=6 Â Adder's top speed is 160, and average cars speed is around 130-140. Â I guess that's the speed you get when your car is fully upgraded. Â I'd also say these specs were probably based off old-gen Gta 5 cars. Â Hope it get fixed. Datguy8925
Well for some reason the Slippery cars cheat removes the top speed cap and allows you to hit the top speeds of your desired vehicle. Â However it does make the car less grippy and your braking distances are increased. But it feels a bit more realistic in a sense that the cars don't have glues for tires anymore. Â I managed to hit 200+ with the cheat and without Franklin's ability. Â However I will say that it's stupid that we need a cheat to the actual top speeds of the car. The game can clearly handle it too because I did it over and over without any serious hiccups or frame drops. Â So Rockstar...wtf? A lot of the top speeds on here are incorrect the zentorno and turismo are faster than the entity there is no way the vacca is faster than the infernus and the zentorno should have a faster acceleration than all of them i have found most of this from drag races on a long track not just down the runway
