I've been having this annoying problem everyday now and it's the "Rockstar Game Services Are Unavailable" bullsh*t then when I try to across GTA Online it comes up with an alert message saying that my character transfer is been requested when I've already transferred my character back at launch day.

 

Sounds like you should contact R* Support about your character transfer.

 

They will probably send you a form letter type email saying you need to change your internet connection settings/etc.

 

I assume you have already done the usual stuff they recommend such as opening ports on your router (if you use one) and setting a static I.P. (which you need to do if you decide to DMz your console)?

 

 

Gonna forward and email form Rockstar support. It didn't help me but maybe someone will be more lucky.

We'd like to provide assistance with any Online-related issues with our connection troubleshooting guide:

1. Check all the physical devices on your network to ensure they are plugged in and powered on.
2. Perform a connection test on each device connected to the network.

Understanding NAT Types:

NAT Types:

Open

Moderate

Strict

Open NATs can connect to any of the three types. --> Probably the least common type

Moderate can only connect to open and moderate. --> Probably the most common type

Strict can ONLY connect to open.

Strict NATs are a difficult problem with peer-to-peer games. Since most people don't have open NATs, the player with a strict NAT won't be able to find many joinable games.

Also, if the player with a strict NAT does manage to join a game, if another player with a moderate NAT joins later, the player with the strict NAT gets kicked out.

The problem is even worse since it is sometimes difficult for software (i.e. Games for Windows Live) to detect which NAT type it is running behind, and can often report that the player has a moderate NAT when they actually have a strict NAT.

Another problem is that sometimes the ISP (Internet Service Provider) is also NAT'd which often means even if you have a direct connection to the internet (without a router/firewall), the ISP still acts as a strict NAT.

Port Forwarding:

The following ports are beneficial to have open for Online console gaming:

TCP: 53, 80, 443, 465, 983, 1863, 3074, 5223, 10070-10080

UDP: 53, 88, 1863, 3074, 3478-3479, 3658, 10070

If you need assistance with opening these ports, please refer to the following website for more information (you will need to know your router brand and model, as the website guides are based on specific routers)

Here are some additional tips that have helped many players improve their connectivity:

1. Make sure your router's firmware is upgraded the latest version (very important).
2. Unplug your router for 10 minutes and plug it back in. Some older routers degrade in performance over time until it is rebooted, similar to a PC.
3. Disable any firewall or other network filtering for the game.
4. Enable uPnP (universal plug and play) on your router.
5. If you don't care about security, enable DMZ (de-militarized zone) on your router for your PC's address. This turns off all of your router's firewall features for that specific PC.
6. Get a router that has the "Xbox LIVE compatible" or "Certified for Windows Vista" logo.
7. Contact your ISP and ask them what your DNS setting should be.

Direct Connection/Power Cycle:

If you are still having issues connecting to the online servers after trying the above steps, try connecting your broadband modem directly to the console or PC on which you are playing this game. At this point, please disconnect your Broadband modem from power for Five (5) minutes. After this time has elapsed, plug the modem back into power and allow the normal power-up cycle to finish.

If this final step does not resolve your issue, please plug a PC directly into your modem and provide us screen shots from the following locations:

1. www.speedtest.net
2. www.whatsmyip.org
3. www.pingtest.net
4. ipconfig (Windows + R > type "cmd" without quotes > hit okay > type "ipconfig" without quotes > press ENTER )

Let your gallery load in-game and when all your pictures have loaded, you have to press on the right thumbstick to upload a picture to the SC. You have to do this for each picture that you want to show up on the SC.

Yes, It does. You can use any of the vehicle classes to work towards unlocking modifications.

Yes, It does. You can use any of the vehicle classes to work towards unlocking modifications.

 

 

+1 yeah any car race wins will count, regardless of what that text says about 'you need to win X more wins in this class of vehicle'.

 

You need 44 wins to unlock the best performance mods (Turbo/EMS Stage 5/Transmission), but there are some mods that are rank locked though, like the armour and suspension and styling mods (spoilers/skirts/hoods/etc.).

some cars are missing from the websites in the new version of the game, story mode, not even in the special vehicles list of the garages. They are available online though.

Is there a way to switch from d pad zoom to left stick zoom? I bought my copy on Xbox one because that's what I could afford the time I got it. I'm planing on getting a PS4 GTA 5 bundle eventually because the Xbox one has been a real let down lately.

 

I really hate the D pad on the Xbox (the less I have to use it the better) one and using the D pad to zoom in sniper scope mode has real disadvantages. It's a tad annoying having to aim using the D pad as opposed to using left stick up or down which felt so much better on 7th gen. I would much rather use the left stick as you are already using right stick to look around.

No, any progress made after the transfer does not go back to last-gen.

Yeah same thing, think of it as an alternate universe.. anything you do on current-gen stays on current-gen, anything you do on last-gen stays there too after the transfer.

Like how money is shared between players on last gen. I'm wondering if I ply as my transferred character on last gen will his money share with my second character, so when I transfer my second I can still get all the money I made on last gen. I don't know I haven't done this myself as I only have one character per account (I have 3 accounts).

 

But in your case, as they are on the same account I doubt it, once you transfer your character that should be it.

 

Any progress you make on that same account, even though it is a different 'character' will stay on that system.

 

If you had a different account (i.e. a different named character) then the funds would transfer as it would be a new separate transfer.

Both of your characters are transferred (on the same account) you don't have to choose between one or the other and yes once they are transferred the money is still shared.
