Edmachine Posted November 16, 2014 Share Posted November 16, 2014 I talked about this with my coursemates a while back. Seems very impractical. Lasts 7 minutes, needs a metal surface... Then I thought about using that on the train rails. Would be a fun everyday trip to university. 42km, give or take, 7 minutes... means I'd have to go at 342km/h to make it before the batteries run out. Slowing down at the station should be fun, too... And they didn't have to waste the amount of money these people did. The trains are actually extremely useful. This... Is a viral gimmick, nothing more. Had they cared about anything but internet popularity for a few days they would have spent time and money creating this same thing, that doesn't need a stupid insanely expensive metal plate under it for it to work.
