@DaWiesel: That is very odd indeed! Wonder what it could have been? Let's take the Epsilon Building out of this for a minute, what would cause the game to auto save, regardless of where you are? I'm struggling to think of anything even then!

Curiouser and curiouser!

As much as I know the game doesn't auto Save itself after a certain time, or does it? I will reload my savegame and see if it happens again.

I don't think it does mate, but I am not very attentive with stuff like that, so probably wouldn't notice even if it did haha!

The Epsilon Building would be another cool place to check out the inside of too...although i'm guessing it may not be detailed.

Went there and it happened again, however it seems to save regardless of where I am. Reloaded my Game another Time and just stayed infront of Michaels house till it auto saved. It saved both at the same ingame time (13:20). Time after loading my savegame is 4:40, so thats 8:40 between the Save game and the auto save.

So apparently the Game does save automatically after a certain time, which seems to be after 8 hours and 40 minutes ingame. A bit strange though.

@DaWiesel (I like their music too, you know? ;)) - Yep, I'm with you, it sounds a bit strange, maybe ask at the Help & Support if anyone else experienced this, I surely didn't as I always have autosave off.

Anyway, bem vindo a este topico (welcome to the Hunt)!

The Autosave will always periodically kick in if its enabled. It can be a pain in the ass if you are on a random rampage of evading a 5 star wanted and have used a sh*t load of ammo. It can be turned off in the settings though. It's only really useful for story mode and random events, if you have done all of those and you are just testing then just disable it. I turned mine off straight after a hard 100% just in case, as I wanted a verified known "good" save.

Yeah, seems so. It just was a bit strange that it happened in that moment. Anyway, case closed.

Haha, obrigado.

Might join the hunt soon, after finishing the game. Loved the mysteries in SA, and I'm sure there's still things to discover in V.

smilerships, oh its a glitch i'd say for sure lol Just has to have a trigger somewhere (Not that I think it even worth finding other then to confirm it) For me its one of the less interesting things going but to each their own and if it happens to pay off for someone then more power to them lol l

just a small thing... "LOS SANTOS OWNS YOU" poster on Franklins wall above his bed. Why would Franklin have this on his wall, Is this aimed at the player/us?

i think its referencing a old hip hop poster he has another with MADD- mad dogg from previous games, it reminds me of a old B.I.G poster

This is new to me, i never played portal - There is graffiti in an alleyway in downtown Vinewood (where the mission Bearing the Truth starts) on which, amongst multiple Kifflom rambles, is written "The fruit tree is a lie", referencing the iconic "The cake is a lie" catchphrase from the Portal series and possibly comparing it to the fruit tree in the Adam and Eve creation myth.

@paulmgrath: You just reminded me of something. Another hunter in one of our old threads pointed out that graffiti is also on a garage on Prosperity St. in DelPerro. People tried to say he Photoshopped it, but a few of us went there and confirmed it. Because it shows up in more than one place, I always thought that graffiti was trying to point us in a certain direction. Here's a pic of the other location. Ignore Michael's corny expression. I must have pressed something before I took the shot lol.

In short, to be honest, the above pictured text and some of the other similar texts and themes found in GTA V, in my own opinion, disturbingly reflect our Reality, painting a very bleak, distressing picture, much could be discussed, and personally I feel uneasy discussing things of this nature ( I admit maybe I am reading too much into it, and will not let my thoughts hinder any of my consideration into your thoughts, and theories of this in relation to GTA mysteries).

I see the Portal, reference Portal, and Portal 2 were amazing games, well worth checking out @paulmgrath, I recommend co-op mode Portal 2 for the best experience.

You really are reading too far into this I don't see what's disturbing?...but please do explain?

To me, if this graffiti is in more place than one, if the locations are pretty random, it's simply an Easter egg itself and probably leads to nothing

^Maybe you're right.

It's not this piece in particular, It's an accumulation of things. I also agree and think this is an Easter Egg, possibly an Easter Egg of similar real life graffiti, the same Handstyle/handwriting printing is noticed in many areas of the game one simply says something like "Yes Everything Does Suck", also noting thoughts towards the Portal game and "the cake is a lie" I'm sure It's intentional for that to create thoughts of some higher meaning.

Afterthought after typing: the "Yes Everything does suck" text could that be simply a message from Rockstar noting the complaints some people have of the game, maybe?

If you fancy discussing something but its off topic pm it mate. Yeah I thought that too, it is weird and it's obviously there to be noticed, but maybe it's meant to look like the drugged up drunken ramblings of some hood rat lol

I still think it looks a lot like the jetpack guy.. even if it could just be a coincidence.

I have always thought that it was vaguely like the Mural image but if Rockstar were going to do this I thought that both images would have been identical.

However, if you do accept that they are supposed to be the same thing, then one possibility is that the "Jet Pack" figure on the mural is not a Jetpack at all but is merely directing the player to the Altrusit rock ?

Right had an idea which will only be for New Gen but you know the map had secret markings on it was exposed to UV light, what if the mural was the same? Could someone on a New Gen Console attaching the UV light to the bottom of a vehicle and going to the Mural and shining the light on it? Just an idea which I can't check out as I have a PS3.

@jessiecat94: I mentioned that a while back and I even did some searching. I didn't turn up anything anywhere including on the mural. it was a bitch getting a vehicle upside down near it. Anyone else is welcome to give it another shot since it helps to have things debunked by more than one hunter.

John The Grudge

Have any of you guys went to the observatory to see the lights on the door after having completed every single thing in the game? That includes the peyotes, Franklin's photography challenge, Monkey mosaics, epsilon tracts, murder mystery and every stunt jump, under bridge and knife flight. I'm getting close and the only thing I won't be able to get is the Simeon random encounter.

@ John - I'm sure that it was tested on the old game (not including the new game exclusives, off course).

I think some are trying to have it all golds and every little achievement on the new game, though afaik no one has done it yet (so testing your hypothesis is to no avail, so far).

Full Moon testing- Sometimes it's difficult to be sure if your game is actually on the Full Moon or if it's just the day before/after.

Here is something that might be helpful for anyone trying to test stuff on a Full Moon. I haven't tested myself but I do believe it's accurate.

hippoplay at the French forum made the below scheme that depicts the 14 month ig Moon cycle (hurray to him/her for such a dedicated work).

In order to easy locate the month you're ig, you must first find your ig's New Moon, (the transition from "extra-fine" moon from one side to the other, since there's no actual New Moon ig - hence why the ig's Moon cycle is 27 instead of the irl 28 days) then check the day you're on and skip (sleep) forward to the next correspondent Full Moon day:

qrfg9XA.jpg

Also note:

Mois - Month

L (Lundi) - Monday

M (Mardi) - Tuesday

M (Mercredi) - Wednesday

J (Jeudi) - Thursday

V (Vendredi) - Friday

S (Samedi) - Saturday

D (Dimanche) - Sunday

Edit - Just saw that hippoplay also posted this scheme at reddit (and surely detailed it much better :)):

has any one tried to fill all of there save slots with consecutive saves, start new game & marathon thru, auto save only, to simeon random.

if it lights the box in social club, & the rest stay lit.

going to try on day off.

It doesn't, if you start a new save it will also wipe everything in social club. There is no way to add the Simeon event to an older save if you have missed it.

@Slate - I strangely missed Simeon's event, though I've actively tried not to miss it.

I went (when it was supposed to go there) to his car's shop, walked inside, took pics, only to find it always empty.

I've tried switching characters, sleeping, online and back to SP, went there at several different day/night hours, always to no avail.

I found it easily (and killed the bastard :D) on the old game but sadly not on my current new game's playthrough.

Though the quality is not great, imo this counts as the 1st ever (kinda) Eclipse's pics that I've seen so far:

http://imgur.com/Efy2hdP

He/She (Hideyuki Makimura at the French thread) is not sure if it was just a glitch or not.

It happened around 1830 ig (rain started at 1814), no cheats used. It was not a total Eclipse, it "poped" through the clouds, though the sun was not visible before (free translation from his/her comments on it).

@Addafu - Since you're native in French, maybe you can translate Makimura's details (his/her comments on page 1081) for us:

I had similar problems but I kept driving around the block and rechecking, and it eventually it just randomly spawned. I missed it on my 360 playthrough though.

I'm sorry but what are people seeing on the Altruist stone?!?!?!

Some people believe it's supposed to match the figure on the mural wearing what some people assume to be a jet-pack. None of this is conclusive however, but some just believe it to be the case and can not be swayed. It's this kind of closed mind thinking that is often derailing the hunt.

Regarding the mount chiliad mural; what's up guys, new here and i like everybody's work, keep it up! So i decided to re-re-visit the mural and thought about what would happen if i went idle in front of the mural and have the game change the view into first person and allow the protagonist (Trevor) to show what his interests are. I thought maybe he would look at each box drawn on the mural in a certain order, perhaps cluing me on something, and guess what... He didn't. BUT no matter the placement and direction of Trevor, he chose 100% of the time to ignore the mural. So again what's he trying to tell us? Well I'm on ps4 and at about 95%, so anybody can try this; maybe even last gen) and maybe y'all can help and try the same thing with Michael and Franklin; i didn't have enough time had to go to work. Takes a little bit of patience but you never know. Again good work y'all, HAPPY HUNTING.
