The GTA V Secrets and Mysteries Hunt

Speaking of time stopping, really annoys me the way the sun will sometimes stop when you stand still then move when you move, shadows creeping along then stop when you stop, know what I mean?

It seems that time stops when you enter Solomon's office. Time doesn't move until you leave it.

I noticed this when I was in there recently, although I dismissed it as anything mystery related, I guess mainly because it was Solomon's office and therefore NG only (although that is pretty hypocritical of me when I still think the peyote could be of use!). But I stood for a while looking out of one of the windows - looking at the water fountains in motion. No cars or peds on the road though, so I figured it was more an effect of the game?!

I know a few people think it's a glitch with good reason but has it been proven to be a glitch?

Judging by the fact it's totally random...yes..yes it has.

Glitches are normally triggered and not random, right? (Not that I know if this is even random, I haven't been into the time thing much)

It just loaded my GTAO character into SP while I was trying to access GTAO...it was triggered...is it not a glitch?

I agree with DA on this one.

From my own experience with it, it's random (after comparing the "trigger" to other's that also experienced it) and it extended to older savegames, so unless someone is able to find some actual trigger I'll vote for glitch/bug.

Iirc, time will also stand still if you skip the cable car ride.

Ie, at 3am after watching MC's ufo, if you get on the cable car to go down the mountain and don't skip the ride time will pass normaly, if you skip the ride time will be the same as when you entered cable car (give or take a min), pretty useful if one needs to be somewhere 3-4 am on the North/North West area ;)

Edit - @DA - Can you post a video of it? I'd really like to see that.

Talking about glitches,so my GTAO character got loaded into SP,and usually you don't get a wanted level wherever you go on the map,you can even explore Ft. Zancudo without the silly tanks or SAMs going after you,but for some reason the Altruists will still attack you once you come into the camp, all of the interior are open in this mode, but some are unrendered. For example the elevator at Ft. Zancudo in the bunker actually does open but nothing happens when you enter. I tried going through the 3 marked doors at the Altruist camp but they can't be opened and then I got killed and had to restart normally.

DA, Actually I thought someone already figured out the trigger on that glitch? Just like bringing sp characters into online, dupes, wall breaches etc etc

I love this glitch 'cause you can go to some interiors that are locked in SP.

For the SP character into online its easy to google, I was actually reading it just a few minutes ago but not sure if it works currently. For the online loading into sp I couldn't tell you but I could swear I read about it here on this forum quite a long time ago.

I don't think you guys really get my point.. In gaming and code theres always a factor that triggers a glitch.. I don't think anything is just random, might be unknown as to what factors in the game trigger a glitch but I don't think anything is just random, there always a factor or a reason and something making it eratic. I did go over GTA.wikia.com/glitches and didn't see that specific glitch mentioned at all. Just so there is no confusion I don't think this glitch has much to do with the mystery etc.. I am only saying there is a reason it happens even if we don't understand that reason lol

@Volk - Don't get me wrong mate, I'm sure my time stopping situation was triggered by something (though I'm still wondering what it was ;)), if not everyone would be "able" to do it, though after seeing some videos from others that also experienced it and reading about their "triggers", I can't find any coherence with my own experience, hence why I believe it was a glitch.

All interiors or some?

This sounds amazing, and a great tool! Could you possibly see what is inside the Oeuvre Gallery please? When looking in from the front, there is an alcove/room to the left and right hand sides, with paintings and possibly other stuff in there.

For now I only searched for interiors that were accesible in SP,sadly you can't go into Madrazo's ranch house,I will try the Ouvre once the glitch happens again, but seriously I don't know what the - trigger - is for this glitch,it just occasionally happens. Also I am 99% sure that ouvre thing has nothing to do with the mistery, because it's a nod to the Louvre in France, they just removed the L so it's a ball joke, like the rest of the game.

Maybe not the best place to post that, but for me it's a "secret".

I was just checking out the Epsilon Building with Michael, used the ladders to get to the roof and looked around it for a bit. Got back to my car and was about to try to drive though the gate (couldn't walk through it from the outside, went with my car around it to get to the other side of the gate) and suddently I get the message that my game want's to auto save. But why? There wasn't anything to collect and I didn't kill anyone either. I haven't sign up to the cult, so I wonder why the game want's to save?

@D.A.: Cheers mate, I know you don't think much of the Oeuvre (good shout about the Louvre too, although it also reminds me of oeuf, which I think is egg?!), but would be very interesting to see what is inside those rooms. Mainly because it looks like there are something on the walls (not so much paintings, but a design on the walls? Can't explain it properly, but there are pics, a few pages back, when it was a hot topic).

@DaWiesel: That is very odd indeed! Wonder what it could have been? Let's take the Epsilon Building out of this for a minute, what would cause the game to auto save, regardless of where you are? I'm struggling to think of anything even then!

Curiouser and curiouser!

Come oe,with all due respect, you don't think a museum of art called Ouvre is not a nod to the museum of art Louvre? But for some reason stands for oeuf?

Well, it is called the Louvre, so if they wanted to make it even more obvious, they could have made it Ouvre not Oeuvre. Plus, Oeuvre means a 'body' of work, or as I understand it, a collection?

Ouevre d'Art (for those that don't understand French) = http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/french-english/%C5%93uvre-d-art

So how's that an egg?

I think EV is saying that we are both wrong haha! Although I understand what Oeuvre means. I only think it could be a nod to egg in the same way that they make wordplay with lots of other things in the game, that, and there is a piece of work with an egg shape in it.

I am not saying I think it is egg or anything like that, just from my basic knowledge of French, both Oeuvre and Oeuf are pretty similar when spoken (maybe not the bit at the end, but the way it starts).

As crazy as it sounds I still think Ouvre is a nod to Louvre...shocking. Oh man,I mean...are there literally hundreds of better theories out there? I love hunting for misteries but we're discussing glitches and french culture here. Anyway,I'll keep ya updated if I find anything.

Okay.

So?

Not sure what you are trying to get at here...just saying that we are both wrong and it is probably called Oeuvre because of the actual meaning of the word? Although, the way GTA games are, I can see it being a nod to more than one thing, and that's why I like your interpretation of the Louvre - makes a lot more sense than oeuf, that's for sure, although both could be considered a stretch if they just intend it to be Oeuvre.

Anyway, that's neither here nor there...would just like to see inside the place, if you could do that, it would be awesome good sir!

All the new talk of the Oeuvre got me thinking again, so I googled it, this vid came up. It looks like LG, but why does he/she do it during the 'someone say yoga' mission - was this a known glitch on LG?!

They get close to the back rooms, but then fall through the map ffs!

As much as I know the game doesn't auto Save itself after a certain time, or does it? I will reload my savegame and see if it happens again.

I don't think it does mate, but I am not very attentive with stuff like that, so probably wouldn't notice even if it did haha!

The Epsilon Building would be another cool place to check out the inside of too...although i'm guessing it may not be detailed.

@Smiler & DA - Not trying to go deep on semantics here, but in French there's also Ouvre, meaning Open...

Smiler actually said exactly what I though when I 1st saw that Ouevre Gallery, imo the word refers the (lifetime) work of some artist(s), regardless of maybe meaning something else on GTA V world, only r* knows ;)
