The GTA V Secrets and Mysteries Hunt

Just an update on my Altruist issues. I have had a few responses from R* support regarding this. The first was a copy and paste off Sony's website telling me how to boot my ps4 in safe mode and how to initialize my system. The last reply I had was asking me to provide them with a video of my issue, Altruist mission restarting when going near their camp with any character. I had deleted my 100% fully autosaved file before I got the last reply and am currently having another playthrough. All seems well near the camp for now .

Back on the mystery topic, I was a little intrigued while completing the Lifeinvader mission. All the talk of docking made me think of you know what. Also I had a little "wander" around while completing the mission and noticed three, I think, white egg like objects near the windows downstairs. Anyways back to getting 100% again. I will be using more than one save method this time though.

That chicken sign that you can walk through...there's a pump/valve at one of the oil pumps northern side of the city which you can walk through, I can only assume a few items glitch this way

I think the main thing is this sign is a one of a kind object in V, correct me if I'm wrong. (may just be Chicken Cross the road joke/easter egg but the Twin Roosters, barn and other things add to the mysteriousness of the area)

and here was a very interesting post from Reddit involving all dialogue for Omega, and there seems to be alot of lines that cant be hear in game or in mission from omega but leads sum to beleive that there may be more to trigger to him

https://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/2uv6wx/i_thought_i_said_id_see_you_on_the_other_side_and/

that is the link and i was wondering in reguards to that link has anyone gone back to omega when they have found just 1 alien object collectible? or gone to talk to him or call him b4 finding any of the missing parts?

Omega actually dissappears from the Map once you get far enough away from him after the intital meeting with Franklin. However, I did hang around after he had given me the Space Ship part mission, and if you keep chatting to him he does indeed say much of the dialogue in that Reddit post. I talked to him for maybe 5 minutes until he started repeating the same lines of chat.

soule561, I have heard a few of those in game and some I haven't heard. If you stand around before and after meeting Omega for the first time he says a few of them.

I can confirm that Omega dialogue as well. I stood around like Slate Mc 2 and VolkXue did on my last playthrough. I did it with a lot of characters to see what they said. My favorite line was from Ron. I followed him with Trevor talking to him and he says something to Ron like "You need a lot of help Ron" and he says something like "I know Trevor, from you!". lol

Yeah man, there is definitely something up with the whole area! Isn't it Grapeseed that a few people have claimed to have seen an abduction too?!

Now, I have been trawling youtube for vids to explain this peyote red dot thing, and I actually found a vid that shows it (I can upload some of mine if need be but with the time it takes to do that, thought it was best if I could find an example first!)

I had to watch quite a few until I could find one, because for some reason, most peoples peyote vids don't have the HUD map thing visible when on peyote (even though they had it on just before they eat the buttons?!)

Skip to 1min, and look at the map whilst Mike is speaking. For the cormorant you usually get 3 or so blobs appearing (I think blob is a better way to describe it than dot, as it's so much bigger than an enemy red dot).

Anyone know what causes this?!

Watching the video i would say it's when the sh*t hits the ground. He sh*ts and then a couple of seconds later the red dots appear.

Yeah, i'm thinking it's that too. Especially as the chicken doesn't get it appearing at all. However, I was just a seagull and I shat constantly whilst he was talking, and not 1 blob appeared!

Edit: Just been a variety of different birds, and it's not always when the poop hits the ground. However, it's probably nothing more than a signification that you can do "damage" when pooping. Although it still seems odd to me. Like it's not exact, i.e your first 3 poops don't make 3 blobs.

my thought was the sh*t hitting the ground, but I believe when the third red dot showed up he didnt make the bird poop prior

In my opinion, I'm 90% sure that the mural simply just represents the story line where the jetpack just represents Trevor, and therefore means there is probably no jetpack in the game at the moment, but there might be in the future. But the weird thing isn't the mural, but the room that the mural is in. The 4 metal doors surrounding the mural is the same type of door used on hangars at fort zancudo and the airport. Why would this kind of door be at the mural? There are also security cameras above these doors which aren't at the opposite cable car platform at the bottom of the mountain. What are these cameras and doors guarding? Something else weird is that there is a black and yellow stripey thing that goes around the building on the outside at the bottom of the wall, but when it gets around to the back of the building there is a big gap where the locked metal door is on the opposite side of the wall next to the mural. And what about the aerial on the top? I dont think there is one on the other cable car platform.

Edit: There is also a strange white cube behind the locked metal door which people have found by glitching which wasnt on the old gen. And a cube inside the FIB building too. Here are the videos.

I personally believe there is a jetpack, although I will admit numerous occasions I thought I was on a wild goose chase and that may be so. But the reasons for the jetpack not being in the game have yet to satisfy me in regards to the mural obviously depicting a jetpack (again this will be argued.) Along with everything else depicted in the mural that turned out to be in the game...why not the jetpack image?

I have thought about the one point that makes sense which is along the lines of “if there was a jetpack it would be simple to acquire because Rockstar wants everyone to experience this if it did in fact exist.”

My issue with this is the amount of replay value this “quest” has received. I agree that the excitement of the jetpack would ware of quickly yet the excitement of this mystery is where the real enjoyment resides. I don’t know about most of you guys but this mystery hunt has been the reason I have poured countless hours in, the majority of my decision to buy this game once again on the new consoles is because I was itching to get back to this mystery. I have yet to even load the online part of the game (for other reasons too.) Just like any other thing in life the greatest rewards are always within the journey not the destination.

I'm gonna be ignoring that guy up there and tell you right now that there isn't a jetpack in the game, but it will probably come via DLC,if you like looking for this stuff, keep up the good work.

There is no jetpack in the game currently.

Which doesn't mean the whole hunt can't be fun.

This thread isn't just about the jetpack, it's called Hunting for Secrets.

You seem to be more fixated on the jetpack (or lack of one) than the people here looking for it

No not really,I'm not looking for the jetpack, just for easter eggs, but I don't remember when was the last time someone posted something interesting here so...

Absolutely spot on mate! Agree with pretty much everything you say. Only thing I differ a little on is that I am not totally sure of the jetpack existing in game, yet. I like to think there is, and the hunt sure is fun! I have never joined a forum because of a game before, I think that says how much i'm enjoying all this! (Actually, years ago I had to join EA forums to try and get to the bottom of why so many people cheat on FIFA...what a waste of time that was, and nothing like this!)

My only niggling doubt is that it has been so long, and there have been many dedicated people searching, but still nothing. Take the peyote, when that came out on CG, they were all found in a week or so right? I know that's a different thing, and not a totally fair comparison, but shows that dedicated people can find stuff quickly...or even stumble upon things. However, I also believe Rockstar wouldn't make such a weak hunt that it would have been figured out in a week or so anyway, and make it an obscenely hard nut to crack...so it's possible it is real and just hasn't been found!

I think I keep changing my mind as to whether it exists or not, sometimes on a weekly basis! I think I now know what it feels like to be religious and struggling with faith haha!

I just love the hunt and community effort involved, and whilst I am excited about what PC may or may not find, i'll be disappointed when it all comes to an end.

Or maybe i'll turn out to be one of these people I keep hearing about on here who still searches for Bigfoot in San Andreas haha!! Hell, as long as they're having a good time, more power to 'em I say.

No not really,I'm not looking for the jetpack, just for easter eggs, but I don't remember when was the last time someone posted something interesting here so...

You haven't found anything in this thread in the least bit interesting? Not the slightest shred of interest?!

You like easter eggs, that's cool. What did you think of the pic in the Yellow Jack Inn, did you check that out in game?...could that have been the only in game depiction of that alien egg found in the files? What if that egg could be found in game?

I'm sure you could have contributed to the thread more than just popping in now and then to tell us that the jetpack doesn't exist!

Anyway, who am I to tell you how to use the forum, sorry! Have a good weekend dude.

And all you guys, have a good weekend and happy hunting!

Red_Carpet_Suicide_Bomber

I have also encountered that Altruist bug, i managed to record it. I will upload it.

Just after acquiring the epsilon robes, I entered Ponsbys for eyewear & m said he was in 47000 diff places at once. I am 100% soft & time did not stop during my time in store. Throwing grenade at building and stepping upon said grenade also places me at 47000 diff places at once.

Just a thought.

I'll bet a PC modder willl mod the blimp into a jetpack, the blimp's physics seems right for a CJ inspired jetpack.

Anyone looked into the Hippie NPC speech saying something about rocks lining up if you look at them from above?

Yes... nothing ever came of it. Most likely just random dialog, IMO...

A thought from the omega dialogue, considering there is a Simeon mission which doesn't appear on the map and is only available during a short period of the game...could this be the same with omega? Maybe with Trevor, due to the nature of the conversation he seems to have.

A new theory about the Altruists (Altruit's "soundtrack" should determine the people you deliver there), I can't really test it atm but maybe some of you guys/gals can/want to try it: http://www.reddit.com/r/chiliadmystery/comments/2v2008/using_the_altruist_camp_music_as_key_to_opening/

Be sure to also check this video mentioned by the end of that thread (you can fast forward a lot of it):

Off-Topic - Not trying to spam this video, but when feeling down, apart, old, etc... (just Do IT, like Nike said :)):

Doesn't the same music play when you take peyote the same that plays at the Altruist Camp before the shootout? I'm almost positive it's the same. If that music means there's a puzzle (as that theory suggests) then that would mean the peyote would have to be a puzzle too.

@Fran - You are correct my friend, most peyotes will also "unleash" the Altruist's Soundtrack, still to be explained imo.

This theory though is slightly different as, unlike the peyote, it could apply to both the Old and the New game (when both "games" are linked it gets a bit more interesting to me ;)).

I find the peyote/alturist music being the same very interesting, and it's a big factor why I still believe the peyote could be of importance (hence my latest 'research', if you can call it that!).

Now, I am in the camp that the mystery can be solved on both LG and CG (as I think most are? And IMHO I would be almost more annoyed if the mystery was solvable only on CG, than if there was no mystery at all, it just ain't fair to the people who don't have CG consoles, and I really don't think Rockstar would screw lots of hunters over like that).

So that leads me to think that seeing as the mystery wasn't solved on LG, they may have put new clues in the CG version to help out both LG and CG players. Giving us fresh clues if you like, so that everyone can enjoy the fruits of their labours.

How it's all linked though, is another matter altogether!

If this is true. I dont think it would be trevor since the Simeon one can only be done with people that actually interacted with him. So maybe the Omega hidden one can only be done my Franklin

on a Tangent are there any other ppl that give the hint that they could potentially meet later but never do. (maybe like the drug guy)
