The GTA V Secrets and Mysteries Hunt

I had another thought this morning guys. What if the secrets exist only by legitimately getting to the last rank in the online portion of the game with everything unlocked too?

The reason why I wonder is because of the message at mt. Chilliad, "come back when your story is complete". Seeing that our avatar is on the character wheel, that has got to be a possibility, right?

Someone once worked out that it would take years even playing 24 hours a day to reach rank 8000 in Online so i think that's just unobtainable for almost everyone. If thats what it takes to solve the mystery then i think it will forever remain unsolved.

Hey sorry everyone, I'm kinda lost here, after what story mission the epsilon missions are available? I need the epsilon robes asap to replicate what @soulshroude showed

If this is the case (and a good theory) than I am unfortunately wasting my time, I fear. But, at least I am having more of a blast then when I played it the first two times around.

You can play the Epsilon Missions at anytime, even at the beginning after Mikey takes Franklin to the Car Lot. Just go into the (in game) cell phone, search online for the Epsilon and pay the donations. You'll get a marker on your map 24 - 48 hours after that to start the missions.

Man, I swear... a few of these spaceship parts are a real pain in the butt. Under a bridge, with a parachute... friggin' really!? Though this isn't a measurement for the 100%, I got bored and am going after the parts and letter scraps.

Sorry about that... way off topic. Nothing new to report through, just tedious missions. I really haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary as of late. But it is kind of weird, that the missions are completely random. They pop-up every now and again, just after I have done a few side missions. Isn't this supposed to be Mission after Mission? Strange that. Guess I should quit fooling around.

Ha! The thought of chop being right beside you in a parachute was enough to make me spill my coffee this morning.

Also, I think its kinda odd that the space docker doesn't have a speedometer.

Sorry everyone..I have another question. Who the hell are the people that are in the photo frames at Franklins aunt house and in our apts. in online? Is *R trying to give us a clue to something we haven't grasped on to?

I feel crazy but one of those people really does look like C.J. and not only that, there's even a pic of what looks like a young Frank in a sports shot. It must be the only one in the game that has a child in it.

The spaceship part within the bridge is dead easy, lol.

Take a chopper and land it within the arch of said bridge. No problem when choosing Trevor. You can even leave the bridge without loosing a life that way.

I've been wondering, if at the end of the karma playthrough theres nothing new or anything, will it be totally disproven and ruled out of the hunt?

If anyone manages to get 100% on karma run, what should be the first things to check out?

It would be easier on ps3 then share the save file

The first thing to check out is obviously the Mural on Chiliad. Watch the UFO for the first time... and see if that door opens next to the mural, if it IS a door. Then go to the Altruist Camp and see if we can't solve that damned fire puzzle.

Or there might even be an extra cut scene with "Omega", who knows.

@soulshroude But how would the weather be set? Rain is indication of bad karma and, dunno man, cheating is not my thing...

I remember that some time ago there was a thread with people checking the game files but I never knew what happened to it, the jetpack was in the files, but just as some three lines of code, plus the well known egg model, the alien rune HUD, even horseriding and snowboarding, the meteorite, I mean, where the heck does that fit in the game? There's no way that's just left out content, specially the egg, and removing it from the game via updates just stir up the pot even more.

I don't know if all that content is still there, I don't remember if it's just hidden, I don't know if they are threatening with legal action to people that check the game files but when you complete your fifth 100% playthrough and get the same damn dead end, man, I'm really considering checking the files.

EDIT: But now that I think of it, I'm f*cking stupid and all the codes are hidden, the only way to find the mystery is by playing the game

The jetpack I'm sure may come last, I'm also sure that the UFO's, Alien contact, etc. Need to become unlocked scene content. The horseback riding and snowboarding have yet to be recognized. Even with the Christmas content, I have yet to see Los Santos snow with any type of weather change. The meteorite is still being aired on the radio, the voice always states that it is STILL a WEEK away.

All 100% Story is Complete troubleshooting will be done as time allows. But I think we can all appreciate the newfound enthusiasm.

I've been lurking this place for a while. But when I found my evidence, I felt like I had to share because I feel like we are ignoring the most obvious signs.

I might not know anyone here, but I really do appreciate y'all for the tips and help. Never forget, segregate and rearrange.

The "bad Karma"sound reminds me of a similar bad karma sound/ominous tone in MGSV (which along with a heroism counter has a secret karma counter, I've noticed the sound and avoid it as I play non lethal hero)

Is this an old gaming thing?

Anyone else think the release of San Andreas on PS3 and the PS4 emulated version may be Rockstar wanting people to find clues in that game? Rockstar trying to help? I know it's a different universe but it does have a lot in common and yes it does have minor characters from V in SA and other things like Kifflom etc, it may be another universe but that doesn't mean it is not the same, could just be a branching timeline of infinite branching timelines.

Well anyway a possibility the egg represents Vice City as it was in VC, the "jetpack" was in SA, was there a ufo in 3?

No.

The coolest unknown secret found years after III's release was the fact you could jump the bridge railing from the first island to access the second and third islands at the start of the game. This was discovered by Demarest.

Area 69 in San Andreas birthed the "alien" and "UFO" rumors.

I totally agree. We are not paying attention to the things that are in front of us. Photography plays a big role. There are paintings and photos in all three homes that are clearly pointing us in the direction we need to be heading.

"Segregate and rearrange"

What if they are really supposed to be changing roles in their life? Maybe Trevor should be a family man, Michael a low life nobody, and possibly..Franklin was the one that is to be sacrificed??

They are giving us the option to do whatever we like. We need to start changing the way we think.

What evidence? I'm still new to the forums... would you please remind your audience regarding this "evidence"?

I haven't played Phantom Pain, yet. So, I can't speculate as to that games hidden Karma cycle. But, with the new edition of San Andreas, R* may have incorporated new, albeit hidden things within this version. Never can tell... it really make me want to play it to see what correlations it actually has with V. I had the original San Andreas memorized as I played it constantly when it came out... I conquered the damned thing over time. I AM VERY willing to play the new version, just to see what extra stuff R* might have put in it as hints to solving V's Mural Mystery. It may just be a multi game mystery, a very good idea by R* if I'm right. Just think of the new San Andreas as a type of Expansion pack of sorts for V. Never can tell...

Unless it is the HD version for P.C. that I own... got it some time ago and played the crap out of it as well... but I didn't realize to notice anything from it because I didn't start V until earlier this year for P.C.. I wonder if I did notice anything and I just don't recall. Now bare in mind that it only took me a week to beat it... but nothing comes to mind, save for simple mentions from Omega's counterpart THE TRUTH. The Truth always points out in a certain mission, "vans" that leave certain places at certain times. This is what leads C.J. into the actual Jetpack missions in San Andreas.

I was driving online looking for gang cars to sell and noticed something that I don't think was ever mentioned.

I crashed in front of the mural that says "welcome back we missed you the last time" next to Franklins aunt house and made me wonder if I could get it up to 88 mph from there to C.j.'s old house.

As I came crashing into the cul de sac, I noticed that the light poles have a box on each side of the street. There are also three more going in to the street from the gas station.

I mentioned this a while back. Also saw an odd pic at the hill valley cemetery on the gate door monitor that hasn't been mentioned. Just trying to help.

EDIT: Before my console went out, I was driving around the whole map (invite only) looking for any other poles with the same boxes. Didn't find any.

I did notice your quote. I also answered it, albeit in a small dose. As well, I have been thinking about the small post I made to it... and was wondering, shouldn't this be started in a "thunder storm with lightning" scenerio"? And, what time did Doc mention to Marty when the lightning actually hit the Clock Tower (10:04pm)? This may be an in game (GTA V) actual time relevant scenario, we just need an actual in game location. I am a HUGE fan of the BTTF series and am looking Greatly foward to the new one coming out next year... could all these clues based on GTA V random locations and movie respect (easter egg) addins tie into the Mural Mystery or am I just over speculative?

Yes you did and I apologize for not posting the whole quote. Don't want it to get too cluttered.

No, I don't think your over speculating at all. I've seen a mention of the rocketeer movie at the airfield closest to Mt. Chilliad. The hilly valley cemetery. The sports almanac at Franks mansion. The fact that the space docker looks similar to the Delorean (in a way).

The electrical boxes with gigawatts reference. I could go on and on. You could be on to something with the clock tower time. Also, what was ever said about the "dream the impossible" drawing with a dinosaur on it? Haven't found any topics on the subject.

Off Topic - New X-Files series are coming soon :p, just sayin, surely not related with those X's scattered all around...

@Le - Again, like Soul asked you already, what evidence are you talking about?

@Soul - Despite being a BTTF fan myself, I believe that the "window was closed" when nothing (so far, afaik) was introduced at the "anniversary's timeline" some weeks ago ;)

I noticed electrical boxes on the light posts at the cul de sac where the ballers hang out. (where C.J. used to live) there are exactly five, starting from the gas station and moving in. They don't exist anywhere else in the game. Edited by Le biatch

Thanks for that... but, again... "never can tell"... maybe no one tried. Nothing beats a miss, but a try.

I say we need to start at the beginning of the road, not around the curb near Franklin's, but at the beginning of the "stretch.". I'm in the middle of collecting the parts as we speak, a very long process (again).

@Le - Care to share some video testimony with us (along with some brief explanation on how it's related with some secret)?

There're a lot of 5 (3, 6, 7, 9, #) ig's references already found before m8.

Thanks in advance!

Edit - @Soul - No doubt, just that Oct 2015 was clearly some BTTF's (missed?!) egg opportunity, than again I'm no r*'s wizard ;)

I'm unfortunately not going to be able to help till after the holidays guys, (sorry!) for my refurbished console that I decided to buy 3 and a half months ago, has bit the dust.

That and I've been really busy lately, but am excited and glad to help with what I can once things get situated.

I had not even started the story in ng yet cause the online portion was taking over whatever time I had, but was (mostly) done on ps3.

The mural says "welcome back- we missed you last time" with an F (possibly pointing to Franklin), on the lower right part of building and on the upper portion having an SA (san andreas) on the left and 88 (mph?the year 1988?)to the right.

I noticed the space docker has lightning bolts on the rims. What if you try to get some good speed going from the starting block where Denise lives during rain conditions, at 10:03 pm and gun it towards the poles (like Soulshroude posted)?

Also if y'all could, pay attention to the photos in Denise' house. Are any of those family members mentioned in the game? Notice a young Franklin? Where else is there a child shown or mentioned? Photos capture a moment in the past..

I'm totally aware that you need pics and/or video. My question is of what? And I'm not trolling. I'm sure you can see that I've brought some good evidence to y'all and I'm as enamored by this mystery as everyone else.

Nope! You didn't!

You've "slightly tried" to derailed it...

Post some pics, videos or even some theory, otherwise gtfo!
