Just checked it out...I'm on Xbox 360 and it has appeared at night - I'm at 1am not sure what time it first appears but will find out when it appears and disappears.

Looks like sandy shores UFO with the green tractor beam from zancudo...good find

Not sure myself - it's there all day and all night...I'm gonna check out other billboards, it does only appear when you're close though

If i remember correctly (and it was a long time ago so i could be wrong)

Tadd (a forum member who first started the code hunting thread) posted a load of co-ordinates which relates to the "dynamic" in game changes. (Graffiti on the billboards, the helicopter crashes, the merrywether plane and ship wreckage etc.)

I believe that this billboard is on that list although I'm far too lazy to start hunting down the list Tadd produced and i also don't have any way of utilising the co-ordinates to find the spots in game. (Although im sure Glokens Map will do it)

So yeah you guys have either take my word for it, do the research yourselves (its probably easy enough to find, i just really can't be bothered right now, maybe later if no one has found anything) or just ignore everything you just read! :D

Nice on jp, no good for me as I don't have the means to use glokons map etc.

Just found another billboard with appearing graffiti. It's opposite the 'big ear' 6 satellites, it's a RON oil board and 'polluting beaches' and turned Ron into moronic.

Edit. Also found a maze bank board not far from the satellites where 'foreclosure' appears over it and maze bank at the bottom is change to 'maze ballz'

@Eram

Probably one of the most interesting things so far. Thanks for sharing, because I don't really visit the reddit mystery forum unless somebody here has made a reference to it.

People have claimed in the comments that it isnt always there, and is not present in the beginning of the game. Does anyone here (I hold you guys to a higher standard) have any idea about that?

If it randomly appears then it very well could be part of the 100%, "When Your Game Is Complete" easter egg. It may be an easter egg directed toward what you could do following that guideline. The Billboard shows the invisible ladder going nowhere. Anyone tried to climb it after completion? Or any ladder near water? Whale, Alien...?

As I posted I've been to it it's there all the time and the invisible ladder going nowhere it's in the film which the billboard is advertising, it just looks like lots of graffiti appears on lots of billboards around the map I've just found a further 2

Here's some pastebin pages. Didn't specifically see the billboard in question listed...maybe it's one of the unknown name lines...but the other billboards are listed.

This one that lists some change states is interesting also.

Also, here's where StangOne50 did some Glokon map markers based on some of the coordinates.

Speaking of invisible ladders, I don't know if it's still there, but there was an invisible ladder in the game. It was found way back in an old thread. It was at the Palmer Taylor Power Station. This video that shows the ladder was made by a YouTuber named 10Pheonix01Gamer:

Awesome work AuntJ, i was trying to find it last night to no avail.

If the billboard isn't listed with the rest then maybe there is more to it than just graffiti to make the world feel alive

Edit:

I've just started a new playthrough (still haven't got to 100% on ps4 yet, i just really wanted to start again. Role-playing all the way through) and just down the road from Franklins Aunts house is a chicken restaurant called Bishops Chicken. The sign outside mentions Old Yeller (maybe in relation to the dog that Franklin can talk to.)

Its a weird looking kinda building with a 2 door garage at the back. Why would a chicken restaurant need garages?

Also why do we have a Bishops with a Ufo (Bishops WTF) and a Bishops with a chicken? (chickens and eggs link maybe? )

Any other buildings called Bishops? Possibly with some tenuous link to a Jetpack?

@jp9865: Maude has a Bishop's Chicken shirt on when you drop off the bounties. I'm not sure if that ties into what you are researching though.

Im not really researching anything to be honest. Just found it a bit strange. Maude has different t-shirts everytime? Or is it just the 2 t-shirts?

Maybe she's just loves cock! :D

This is a bit off-topic but maybe not as it potentially enables the player to observe more of the environment.

Anyways, this thread. http://gtaforums.com/topic/817233-say-no-to-the-mini-map-use-the-paper-map-or-just-your-eyes-instead/

Not using the mini map is my new love on my current playthru. I also borrowed another users idea and am not purchasing any weapons. As also mentioned in the thread, the police chases seem more intense and life or death as do the gunfights, when you can't see your health.

Ultimately, as the OP points out, you are better able to take in more of what the game has to offer, when the map is out of the picture. There's a whole mess of things that you could incorporate into this if you wanted, by taking away certain liberties that the game has given us.

Just wanted to toss this out as a suggestion if you're looking for a bit more immersion and haven't read or stumbled on that thread/topic.

Hey auntj,

That's the topic that inspired my new role playing playthrough. No mini-map, just me in first person trying to remember where I'm trying to go! :D

Gotta agree its really awesome. there's a whole new intensity when playing like this when your in a shoot

Out or a cop chase.

And i find i tend drive around slower as I'm looking for landmarks etc.

It really can create a real life vibe to it. I was following traffic law's for a while as well. It took me nearly half an hour to drive from Simeons dealership to Michaels house!

So many red lights! :D

I actually watched this episode a couple of months ago, but couldn't find any pics of the stone, so didn't post about it.

Now reddit's blacktoaster made it available, so here goes for anyone who still cares (pics from anal_gravy):

Yes, but I am not convinced a new peyote was added. I have already unlocked all of the new achievements and the Cryptozoologist unlocked straight away as soon as I used any animal in Director Mode. Game still says 21 out of 22 though even though it gave me the Achievement. Maybe a programming error as everyone seems to have the same ?

The trophy says "you've unlocked all the animals in director mode or did you?" Or something along those lines. You're supposed to unlock it.

I was messing around with the director mode today for a bit. The UFOs and Fort Zancudo lights all show up still. Since I had the wanted level off, I was able to get a helicopter right in the Zancudo lights. I went straight up in the lights to see what happened, and the lights originate from a point not too high above the bunker. It looks like the beam of light that appears when you zoom in on the Chiliad UFO when it's partially visible; it looks like an upside down cone. If you go too high it vanishes. Also, the Chiliad craft still makes the noise for an hour in director mode. It was convenient to set the weather and time of day so I could get the UFO to appear without adding cheats or getting lucky.

It's nice to see that this thread is generating a fair percentage of actual fair hunting and not plain ego delusion. Kudos to Soulshroude, a new member that has been contributing a lot - and I mean actually contribute, not just boost that he knows something and to hell with whoever disagrees/hurts his ego.

What I'm afraid of is that this entire "hunt" will only lead to something on current gen/PC. Sadly, I think this is possible as even a simple update which corrected an old glitch (animal witnesses) wasn't released for PS3/360 lately. This (as in "the mystery") could well be something that they planned to implement in the game with patches/updates and then last gen won't get it. What a waste of time that would be for some of us that still are playing on the older consoles! I seriously hope that it is solvable in every edition, though.

Now, let me ask something to older members: do you still play or have a copy of GTA:SA (plus a 100% save, just in case)? If yes, did any of you check if there's anything over there that the mural could be hinting towards? No, I don't think there's something we overlooked in the old game and I don't mean that it is an ellaborate puzzle that started back in 2004. What I mean is that maybe something that was already featured in the old game could be used as a clue in the current puzzle. You know what I'm saying? SA is one of my least favorite GTA games, so I don't have a copy anymore. If I had one, I would check it ASAP. I see lots of connections between the older game and GTA V, so I don't think it would be surprising if they did something like that! Plus, which game had the actual jetpack? Yes, SA. Maybe that's the point.

One example of connection between the games would be Epsilon: back in the SA days we wondered a lot if there was any sort of hidden side-mission involving it, if you could find one of the "children of Kraff" with the birth mark and so on, since it even had a website but its presence in the game was small. I see a lot of people going nuts over Epsilon these days and acting as if it was something created for GTA V, but it already existed in 2004, including all the babbling about a tract that still has to be written and so on. Then they made it a part of the newer game, the connection I meant. Maybe there are other things in the old game that are connected with V and the whole "mystery", and maybe that's part of the mural or where the jetpack comes in. I'm aware that it would limit the puzzle but then again it wouldn't be necessary for solving it, just a way of finding clues or something. Just a theory (which could be way off, of course)!

I forgot to add something to my post yesterday. The light that I was talking about that originates from a point above the bunker is the big, strobe-like, center light that appears at 3am. The smaller lights that circle the bunker come from higher in the sky. I haven't been up high enough to see where they come from yet. I never noticed until yesterday that you can see a faint outline of the beams of light coming from the sky. Maybe I was able to see them for the first time because I had the weather set to thunder, and having the wanted level off allowed me to just observe instead of trying to fight off soldiers. I'm sure this has been observed long ago, but I had never got the chance to see it for myself.

I feel that i should point out that this is from both sides. People don't agree so, it's "To hell with them" as you say yourself. It's not singularly from one side or the other. Lose the ego and unknow what you know.

As i have said before(maybe not publicly? maybe only in PM to some) i was a play tester on GTA S.A. and Epsilon, the Altruists, Chiliad Mystery... It was all planned out way back then. They haven't stuck to the time frame and obviously things have changed slightly. It was planned for GTA IV, but apparently pushed back because when i stopped play testing for R* that was the current goal/objective.

The Housers have always had an idea of where they were going with the GTA games. It's all been planned out years in advance. No matter how many games they stick in between the first and last. The goal and overall story is always the same and will not change although some things will be and are changed to be current in today's age.

On the Epsilon story side of things it seems to be pretty much intact with what i remember, but the actual physically going around and doing missions for them is something brought forth after i departed. What i was privy to was that Epsilon was always going to be the Dragon to Chase. The unobtainable goal of being an Epsilonist in game was to make people delve and learn about certain things like religion and politics.

As far as having "Figured it out", like i said before i cheated. I didn't believe in myself enough and i went outside the game to find the answer. Now that i know what the deal is i laugh all the time at my self doubt. I literally did a face palm when a friend told me the solution. If i would have just held it together for another week or month i would have gotten it solved legit. We were all very close and just missing one thing we all very simply overlooked as not being anything significant and/or a clue.

It was my ego of knowing that it wasn't used that kept me from solving it. When i was shown to unkow what i know it all came together. Just remember, the rules of our universe don't apply to the game world. Rules are not universal to all forms of intelligence, Human or A.I.

Facts are just interpretations. There are no FACTS!

Well the smaller symbols under the "In memoriam" Is Sumerian text. It's a little blurry though, so may be hard to translate. I'm not sure if the circular patterns are also Sumerian, first thought was it's mathematics, but now I see it is most probably the name/symbol of the person/people/group. If it is a symbol it may not be translatable, for instance if it is like a logo or trademark created just to represent the one entity/person/group, The Sumerian should be translatable though.

Edit: Sorry I made a mistake I assumed it was a grave stone, I understand it probably is not.

I have a original hot coffee copy of GTA:SA with 3 100% saves and I can't notice anything different then what I remember I did hear a Radio interview about the epsilon program but as to the mystery I don't think there are any evidence in SA

also GTA SA was released in 2004 but the in game year was 1993-1994 so we know epslion was around in GTA universe since that time.
