Good change. I'm damn sure I saw a few photos on here that were clearly modified outside the in-game gallery. However wouldn't this cause problems with people submitting photos they took legitimately but deleted on SC?

Congrats to everyone winning/running up last week

 

I'm not crazy about the new rule just as some ppl said, we tend to delete pix because Idk about you but I don't care to go through 96 photos trying to find certain ones for the next challenge as many of us have used pix we've taken already but don't still have on RSC but they're applicable to the theme. I guess it means we just have to take all new pix each week and thats ok, it just means in some cases, more time spent.

 

If I remember, we were allowed to do things like lighten a pic etc because as I've even msgd some ppl that why is my ingame pic coming out ok in the game but on RSC is almost blacked out, its so dark... I've also sharpened a few photos by a factor of 2 and saturation maybe 3 or 4 just because some pix, if you don't use filters are so flat and I ♥ color. I use paint.net, I don't hv fancy photoshop, don't know how to use it, I don't need to when I just sharpen, lighten, a photo etc whether for this comp or not.

 

Otherwise I've not done anything to pix that would add some advantage to it winning over another as far as I can tell. I certainly never thought of doing that, its insane.. Just like cheating in GTAO, insane.. Those are small changes to the pic, no replacing of objects or effects etc... But I can easily comply w/ this new rule to just make sure there is room in the gallery to take a new pic if there isn't one applicable in our RSC already, post link, dld and upld it to external img site so it can be viewed in the forums w/out clicking RSC links... No biggie for me ^_^

 

Frankly, I'm not entering pix just "HOPING HOPING HOPING I'LL BE THE WINNER THIS WEEK & beat other ppl out haha!!!" IF I were to win or be selected runner up, great! But this is something I do for fun, I honestly enjoy trying to find in my photos or take a new photo which is applicable to the theme and post it.. Frankly, the newer versions of the game often make pix look like they're modified in some big way to look super realistic. Once the NG/PC pix started showing up ppl were "WOW, R* made NG/PC pix more realistic, (presumably higher res?)".. I've noticed for my version, Ps3, only at certain times of the day, certain angles and certain ingame filters, can you get a neat, pretty realistic looking photo such as was the cop car pic I posted a few weeks back. That was the heavy saturation in-game filter. I'm assuming its the same on all platforms, its the 4th filter if you press up 4 times... Otherwise you pretty much get the pic I have for this week and had for last week, they're not modded in any way obviously..

I don't have a problem with the new rule either. Like it was said earlier, for those who really need to delete from the RSC they could re-upload the picture once the week is over.

A few people (LL cool above stated this) apparently were actually just using screenshots. Unless the camera shutter makes it's sound and it gets uploaded to Socialclub, imo, it isn't a Snapmatic.

 

I mean it isn't a big deal and I am certainly not bashing any of the amazing shots posted prior to the rule. I just didn't understand how flexible the old rules are and wish I had taken advantage of it.

 

Regardless nothing changes at all for me lol. I have always just uploaded to Socialclub and used that link. Hope to see some great snaps this week!

yhh I use both but I save a very selected few shots to actual snapmatic because of the space...I set up the shot on editor, screenshot it, then upload to facebook....or I set it up on camera, screenshot then trim the edges....

 

I'll hardly be able to enter with this new rule, cos it's really hard for me to make snapmatic space, but uploading via facebook is infinite
