Make any protag act like an NPC

Here's something fun to try out. Get two (or even three I suppose) of the protags together. Not by hanging out, just switch characters till they bump into each other. Decline the invitation to hang out. Then jump into the passenger seat of the other's car. The other protag will act like an NPC - following the rules of the road, etc. If you start firing a gun, they'll freak out and drive faster. If you get out and stand in front of the car, they'll honk the horn (without saying anything to indicate they realize it's their buddy) and eventually back up and drive around.

 

One time I did this as Franklin, with Trevor driving the car. I started shooting, he started crashing into things. He talked like he was a passenger though (after hitting a train, "give your passengers some warning huh?"). Then I switched to Trevor. Franklin immediately gets out and says "Hey, you a prick man!!"
