PDOjohnny
hi, been playing GTA IV with core 2 duo e7500 and gpu radeon r7 260x oc, at the beginning everything was great, but since i changed the resolution (to see how is the feeling with diffrent refresh rate) and then set it back in the first resolution, i get more than once an empty grey spaces in new surroundings for short time until it is drawn properly, as if my system is unable to draw it on time. I know the explanation is not that good, but if it's really not clear i can take a video shoot of it and post here just ask. I have the latest graphic driver! thx, pdojohnny WandererNiko
WandererNiko
Indeed, it happened to me as well, when I first started playing. You start to see that roads are covered by a "grey" texture when you enter in new zones, or when you change the camera's perspective, right? I fixed it, sadly, I don't know how I fixed it. Currently my GTAIV's graphics are lower than before, I think I touched something of the Antisotropic filters, or the VSync, whatever their names are. Try to check your resolution, maybe your Graphic card or PC is more compatible with one resolution than another. I'm not sure though.
PDOjohnny
At first week it worked great on 1920X1080 and 60 hz. I want this resolution only. Problems began only lately, and they happen from time to time but not always. It is what you describing. Decreasing the graphic settings might help, but I want to keep on playing it with max graphic. I want to find what is the reason the problem only happens lately and not from the beginning, and fix it. WandererNiko
Maybe it's because of the progress you've been made. You load data everytime you play your game. Sometimes, it's better to reduce graphics to have a better experience. It's not the big difference, trust me.
MrEWhite
It is because you are using too much VRAM, lower your texture settings or draw distance.
