GTAisFlawedless
With RDR R* managed to develop a masterpiece, no other game last gen amazed me so much, GTAV sucked balls (yes it did and that won't change unlike PC version is out with modders to make it the game we saw November 2, 2011) Will you get over yourself? GTAV is a great game. Stop being aggy. Right on Bro, that dude needs to fall in line and just love the game for what it is. It does not matter what innovations Rockstar made with other titles, and didn't bring into GTA V...stop fantasizing and questioning things and just love the game already. DISCO-INFERNO-70
WTF? When did R* promise us sharp palm tree shadows? Sauce or GTFO. I choose sauce, As in HOT SAUCE! WTF? When did R* promise us sharp palm tree shadows? Sauce or GTFO. They promised us sharp and better graphics. Which is only half true. They promised better and sharper graphics, and there ARE sharper and better graphics throughout the game. They didn't promise a PERFECTLY FLAWLESS game. Krysalis
Lol even the shadows are pixelated and only load up when you get closer. Edit: Please use this thread to discuss which aspects RDR does better than V and vice versa, rather than spamming the recent leaks discussion thread with off-topic posts. Thank you. PS4 and Xbox One dont have realistic shadowing that PC has.
thafablifee46
GTA V is good but it's no masterpiece that RDR was , I recently played RDR the other day and was blown away for the second time..playing it in middle school, it was a golden but playing it now I appreciate it so much more. I didn't cry my first play through but I cried the other day at the end lol

I didn't cry my first play through but I cried the other day at the end lol Don't worry you are not alone. John was awesome! I can't believe they did that at the end and then they make me control a douche who I don't care for? Go to hell R*! There is no comparison to be had here. While nearly everything in V is bigger and better, RD's story and setting outclasses V for me. Why choose anyway because we can play both? This thread is just another post that wondered out of the complaints thread. OP sh*ts on a game in a dedicated forum, has a pick at it over something stupid, doesn't give any real arguments, and hasn't even played it yet. It's like being asked to describe a murder that took place 1000 miles away and you are deaf and blind.

DISCO-INFERNO-70
Both are great games. Red Dead Redemption is my personal favorite, but that doesn't take anything away from how much I enjoyed GTAV. I just consider myself lucky to have played them BOTH. NO game is perfect, but I can't seriously complain about anything Rockstar has produced. II think the biggest reason people who don't like GTAV feel the way they do is that it FEELS different from past GTA titles. It CERTAINLY has a different FEEL than RDR, but it's ridiculous to try and compare the two. I personally take each GTA title as it's own separate chapter in the series. For instance, I DON'T compare it to GTAIV, or San Andreas, or Vice City. Those games all had their own unique feel, and I see a lot of people who simply want to FEEL what they felt playing those games, and when they don't, they feel "disappointed". This is simply the nostalgic attachment we feel towards those games, and there is NO way to ever recapture such feelings. The greatness of these games is that they DON'T simply rehash previous titles. Rockstar goes to great lengths to avoid the repetitive, cut and paste development of OTHER developers who keep regurgitating the same games year after year. I GUARANTEE there will be a legion of folks who will complain about the NEXT big open world title, and how it's "not as good as GTAV". How sad that people can't stop and smell the roses, GTAV is quite an amazing game, warts and all. King Vercetti

We all get nostalgic for our favorite games, and that's ok, but too many people let that nostalgia ruin them on enjoying great new games. You just can't recapture those old feelings again on a new game, but there will alwsys be new feelings to enjoy. Datguy8925

MrDeSanta
I think RDR did better in almost every aspect: -story -endings. RDR is known to have the one of the most sad video game endings if not the most sad. But it was great, unique and unexpectable. -antagonists (Dutch, Williamson and Ross are so well made that they make V`s antagonists look like clowns) -protagonists (Marston outshines V trio) -world. Yes V`s map may be bigger but it has less details and less feel to it. Roaming in RDR countryside really made you feel isolated -graphics. This may sounds dumb but when you think of it it makes sense. RDR was made in 2010 and it`s graphics are almost as good as LG V`s. However they can`t be compared to NG V`s. -AI of NPCs,is miles ahead of V despite being 3 years older -replay value. Sure V has more things to do but it still has less replay value than RDR. I wasn`t bored of RDR even when i replayed it 18tx times. And i could easily do few more replays. In V i was starting to get bored in my 4.th or 5.th replay The only aspect where V does better is gameplay mechanics but even this comes close to RDR -gun sounds In short, RDR did almost everything better in 2010 than V did in 2013. And despite GTA is a great franchise, the shootouts, missions and gameplay feel generic while RDR is simply unique. I can`t wait for RDR remaster in march and new RDR in fall. MrDeSanta
As much as I love RDR, GTA V looks miles better than RDR on Next Gen. RDR looks like a cartoon in comparison. It isn`t fair to compare NG V to RDR. RDR was made for LG 4 years before NG V. More fair comparison would be LG V vs RDR. But when the remastered RDR will come out in march then the NG V will look like cartoon compare to that. Can you imagine all those snowy forests and canyons on NG in 1080p? I`m sure NG V will look like sh*t compare to that. While V is just another generic GTA only with bigger world and more stuff to do, RDR on the other hand is unique, the one and only western game on PS3. But we weren`t discussing the graphics only, the content itself and many other things as well are superior in RDR. It bothers me that the trees and vegetation have an amazing movement on Red Dead Redemption. While on GTAV(NEXT GEN!) they dont move... Not even by a bit. Didn't you download the new update? They move now. What? How can i do that? It`s only for virtual copy right? Can i do it for physical disc as well?

Racket89
But when the remastered RDR will come out in march Isn't that info only from one of those clickbait sites that post unsubstantiated rumours they've made up to get hits? Haven't tree's moved since last week? Yes Edit: And it makes no difference if you have a digital or physical copy....just as long as your console is connected to the internet to download the update, like pretty much every other update in the history of consoles having patches Edited December 24, 2014 by Racket89
