GTA V (PS4/X1) Traffic isn't like what we saw in the trailers?

It's not the first time Rockstar lied to us. Remember before the launch of GTA V they mentioned how the Police would break into your apartment and use stun guns or how we could sell drugs?

 

From what I've seen so far the game looks good, I just hate how they lie to us. It's basically the same as false advertising.

 

Did they seriously say that?? Wow! I'm glad I never read or heard any of that or else I'd be pissed! but then, I was on these very forums and lapping up any new info about GTA V, so I'm kinda surprised I missed that.. was it IGN or CVG that said it or was it from the horses mouth (Rockstar)?

So how long have you had your copy of the game? How many hours have you put into it so far?

 

People need to learn to wait and see, and not jump to conclusions.

 

Raynos: I'm 99% sure R* never said anything like that. I asked him to prove me wrong, and he hasn't yet. Probably some speculation/rumors that the fans picked up on and said was gonna be in the game, then were disappointed when it wasn't, even though R* never mentioned it.

 

We'll see if he comes up with a source.

Bullshotted again! Guys do not, do not trust or go by any "Official" screenshots or trailers from rockstar ever again! They are nowhere close to the actual gameplay you will experience. They make ubisoft look like saints!

Meh the same 5 or 6 people have gone to every thread for the last few weeks to piss on everyones happiness. The likely reason is they want the game but cant afford to upgrade. Nobody that moans and hates the game as much as they pretend to would stay on a forum about that game. It defies logic.

The traffic is fine from what I've seen on streams, especially on the freeway. It's just not gridlock 24/7 like most people are expecting for some reason. Rockstar puts a lot of thinking into screenshots and footage, so of course the trailer footage was captured in situations where the traffic is at its highest. They will alter the game a bit for screenshots however for lighting and such, for instance, the placement of the sun in this picture is impossible in-game.

 

Traffic density is varied in GTA V. For instance, when you are wanted with about 3 stars or higher, most of the traffic disappears. Time of day and weather also affects the traffic density,

I've seen quite a few streams, the traffic isn't as bad as people would say, it's surprising at times. Wait until you get the game

There will be a patch. I think that will solve a LOT of little worries.

 

For example, when someone dialed 911 or anyone else the dialogue you were supposed to hear was not there.

It's a nearly finished game... It will be finished with the patch on the 18th... Neat trick from R° to not make us spoil R*'s surprises for everyone when leaks are rampant

If it was a PS4 stream, that would probably be because phone call audio comes through the controller's speaker?

 

Hmm. How is that going to work when you are wearing headphones while playing which I ALWAYS do because by TV speakers are crap, I hope there is an option to mix the audio into the same output into mute the controller speaker.

Not sure which streams you've been watching, but the ones I saw definitely had a decent amount of traffic going on, where appropriate.

 

It's not as much as I hoped for, especially in the city, where I wouldn't mind some serious gridlock. That could be like a tactical element where you know certain roads are gonna be absolutely packed at certain times of the day and have to circle around them (or plough right through).

 

In any case, I'm satisfied by what I saw. Cars at least no longer appear and disappear right in front of you and you can drive fast or get into chases without traffic disappearing completely. That's an improvement.

graphics looks good- different lighting model a bit blue palette instead yellow,

better shadows model, car reflections are good now, no more jaggies

There will be patch, but it won't increase traffic, won't open interiors, won't fix police AI and stealth system, it will just fix small bugs. It's false marketing, nothing more. And if you believe in they f*cking promises that everything is better then you are very naive.

They simply slighlty improve graphics, and few effects, create cars interiors and add fps mode (it's simply move camera to the eyes, nothing complicated) and they have next sale record. It's f*cking pathetic. One day people bitching about how AC Unity is sh*t and how microtransactions ruin the game, and next day they play V on next gens, paying microtransaction and kissing R* ass. It's normally, people just need time to realize that R* is next Ubisoft. And it will be worse every game they will release, because after V they know that people will buy every game no matter what. I think you just need to fall in line buddy! Rockstar put out a game, and in that game there is some stuff, now you may not like that stuff. but you and your "negative" friends need to just fall in line!

 

Your complaints are not wanted by those of us who believe in Rockstar, and I'll tell you another thing....we accept whatever they give us and whatever we get is super awesome! Your questioning or opinions (epecially the ones that I and others have a problem with) are not welcome here. We are positive people and we support the game.
