Well I'll be selling all my 2nd character's worldly goods and swapping her apartments for cheap garages. If you can only take one then he's having everything I've got.

 

Still losing 40% of the value... R* sure knows how to rip the virtual/real money from people.

 

 

Lol 40% of nothing is nothing. That's how much I'm losing.

 

Anyway, as far as I can see, being able to actually transfer anything is a win. There really are a lot of people that get confused between "thank you" and "fuck you, I want more"

 

 

Well, each to their own. R* said, EVERYTHING will transfer, and right now, it seems like only 50% (1/2 characters) will do. Sure, there is a bit of damage control, selling everything & transferring to the 1st character, but still...

 

My two apartments cost $373,000 & $304,000. ($677,000), i can trade them in, for 406,200$, and buy the two least expensive properties, for $80,000 & $87,000. ($167,000). You already lost 40% of your apartments value, and you can't transfer the two cheap garages.

 

Earlier you had property, worth $677,000. After selling & transferring, you have $239,200. Great! Not a big deal for you? I got enough money aswell, but still, this isn't right. There are still people, not having 30 millions from glitching, or having grinded Rooftop Rumble, 20 times a week.

 

From my 20 cars, some are Super or Sports, some are SUVs or ordinary cars. However, with modifications, the average cost should be $500,000 a car. Making all of them worth 10 million $. After selling & transferring, i've got 6 million $. After buying them all again on PS4, with the new character, i went from 10 million $, to 4 million $ in debt.

 

I don't know, maybe im telling bullsh*t, maybe nowone cares, but i don't like it. Does R* even have a reason to transfer only one character?

Where does it say you can only transfer one character, because I've been keeping up with things as much as possible and have not seen that. I've seen that you can only have 2, but that's all.

 

 

Doesn't it say, you can only transfer one set, in the picture above? Even if you created another (new) character, can't you replace it? Why the hell does it even show 5 characters (3 locked) in the current character screen, if you can only have two, with or without transferring?

we will see when the game gets released how the whole character transfer goes down. I wont be playing until next weekend anyway, so at least ill know how to strategize the character swap (whether or not sell all of my crap and just transfer one character, or transfer both, etc)

They probably do. There's a screenshot just up a bit that shows it saying only 1 character can transfer, but they have a new one on the new version, so that means they only have one empty slot left. No-one is saying you can only transfer one, but you can only have 2 characters on each platform.

 

 

The screen shot does not say one character can transfer. It says one *set* of character data can transfer, and both characters in the set are highlited, not just one of them.

This is bad news for me who is Bad Sport for 256 days. This means it is time for funeral for my current Asian female character who is rank 157 with 0$ money.

 

I can restore the rank pretty quickly and get all the weapons, clothes, PV vehicles, Pegasus vehicles, and properties back with money glitches (if available) or buy an 8.000.000$ cash card.

both characters will still be playable on 360 ps3 but after the transfer anything earned new gen wont be on old gen and vice versa.

You say that, but you do know that most of the people in BS lobbies were from disconnects during missions?

It takes around 30 PVs to get even a warning in some cases, but quit/disconnect only a handful of times and bam, into BS you go.

My guess is that the data between PS3 and PS4 is separated. When you transfer, your PS3 data stops at that progress.

yes its exactly like that, you transfer (or copy) at one point, after that the old gen and the new gen go separate ways and never meet.

I have heard mixed answers, from R*, that you can transfer from one PSN account to a new one. One guy said yes, for sure, to watch for the steps at a newswire location and another guy said "there is no information involving this currently". That is all im worried about, is not having to pay another $50 for a second PS+ membership on my old account that is pretty much useless lol

Also if you look closely at the lineup the lvl 1 character he had says transferred too so you will get 2 characters transfered

so keep adder bonds transfer sell them on next gen and past gen then get cars u want on next gen and other cars u want on past gen
