Dinka Blista Compact Appreciation Thread

The Blista Compact is just one of those cars that should have already been in the game from the very beginning in the first place. It has been a fan favorite throughout the franchise, and it's great to see it return. In previous installments, it always had a fame for being one hell of a sleeper: Despite the rather modest looks, it's generally been amongst the top cars. Of course, we have to take into account that back in previous games there weren't as many sports cars (And it is going to race in the sports class, according to the Social Club) as there are now, which means the Blista has much more serious competition. How do you think it will hold up against it?

According to Social Club, it's a sports class.

 

With that said...it'll be about as useful as a futo or Fusilade.

The social club lists it as a sports car, which means much like the Futo it will be hopeless in online races. It should be in the compacts class, as should the Futo.

 

It's nice to see the Blista return, new cars are always a good thing and V needs more generic vehicles rather than a load more high end cars. I would rather have the Uranus back though.

I'm already appreciating the two pictures, and so are people in other threads. We've wanted this car for one hell of a long time that we can easily fall in love with it even before the release.

Yeah, I hope it performs at least better than the Futo, which is arguably the worst car in sports races. IMHO, both would be far more fitting in the coupé class (And even so, they would still have rough competition).

Have you guys thought that maybe I just want to have a civilized discussion about the Blista Compact with other people who are also pumped for the car? Because, y'know... That sort of was my motivation to create this thread, not to be "the first one to do a thread" or to make a "fish" thread.

Undoubtedly, but looking like a pile of sh*t is part of the charm. The Blista Compact has always been that, a crappy-looking car with performance that's anything but crappy.

 

Also, I think it looks better than the normal/modern Blista, frankly. Not a fan of modern hatchbacks, somehow I find the "boxy" look more appealing.

The Blista is possibly one of the most awaited cars since launch and everyone found out the atrocity they tried to pass off as a 'Blista'.
Good thread, hopefully there are some nice pics up on tuesday and a couple of video links from drifters - i dont doubt this will be a great driter like the futo...

I'm hoping for rally-like modifications, a bit like some the Futo has. I'm slightly afraid of the possibily of having almost no mods for it though, it isn't completely unlikely that Rockstar would make a move like that.

I used to love the Blista. It's just my sort of car, an uncomplicated box that goes like hell. I was surprised to see the GTA5 version which wasn't what I was looking for, so out of all of the new cars that's the one I really want.

 

To the people saying this thread is too early, who cares? What does it matter, nobody is being hurt by its existence. I haven't even got a PS4 but I'm happy to come on here and see who else is looking forward to the brilliant boxy beast, the Blista.

I can see it now. 3 Blacked out Blista Compacts with neon green underglow hijacking a semi-truck.

 

Of course I will eventually be doing something like this as well. I love F&F and the first one is my favorite out of the 6 movies.

 

It feels so good to know that R* are finally bringing some classic's from previous titles.

The Blista was only fun because of IV physics. The understeer, the FWD, the outrageous speed for it's class. In V it'll probably handle like a Futo and be no faster nor slower. I'm pretty sure the handling and performance won't be unique. It'll be a copy and paste just like the DLC cars.

Now, if only R* has their head on straight, they should add the Hakumai in the game as well.

The police scanner info for it is already on the disk, so it should be no problem to add it.

And yes, the Blista C. will be my daily driver, sorry Comet, you will be missed.
