No hood cam?

FPV doesn't suck for driving. IRL you guys have the exact same perspective or are your eyes glued on the hood? Nonetheless, the hood camera would be a great addition, because it would make driving easier and more enjoyable for some. Don't give up the fight guys and gals.

 

 

I'm glad you're cool with people having both options but the reality is, the hood cam is more realistic than the one with the dash. The human eye sees 180o FOV

When you're driving in real life, your eyes are tightened and focused on the road around you and outside the side mirrors, your brain blanks out the far peripheral vision - such as glove compartment, the metal beam for the car frame, the gearknob, radio etc.

The hood cam felt more like driving IRL to me than the FPView cam ever has.

I can't believe people are actually lobbying for the return of that crappy hood camera. All that work to get the FPV implemented and people are just like "f*ck that"...I guess you can't please everyone.

Ok I'm going to use a picture to demonstrate HOW THE HOOD CAM FEELS FOR US.

 

 

I don't know if you drive but MOST of the people who have been petitioning for the hood cam actually drive. Seriously do this for me, go out to your car, right now - go sit in it and look directly out the frront windscreen, down the street. (not in your garage)

Go sit inthat drivers seat, look down the street and tell me just how much of your car internals you see normally, without focusing on them?

About 5% of your peripheral vision.

Just because you don't want it back doesn't mean everyone has to be deprived, does it? Why not have both options available?

 

This is typical of GTA's evolution since IV - new features come in, others are removed for no good reason.

What i cant understand is why the people who disagree even need to comment.. No one is suggesting they change anything.. Take away the features you like.. We just want the mode that WE like back to restore GTA to its former glory.

 

If you dont like the FPV mode we are discussing, no one is forcing it on you.. If you dont get it, thats fine.. Others do.

 

If RS removed the 3rd person view.. How would people who play rd person feel? Personally i dont play 3PV but i dont have a problem with those who do.

Personally i think its a HUGE problem... And at the end of the day, RS are on their own with this decision. Show me another sriving game that has a cockpit view but DOES NOT have some kind ood bumper/bonnet view.. What they have done here is bizzare

 

I want both modes.. There are times where a cockpit/dashboard view is nice and gives a sense of realism. But there are times that i want the full screen experience.

Got to say, I am not surprised. I just have a bad feeling about this.. 3 weeks on, and I am still hating fly/driving! But I am not convinced RS (or 99% of the community) see this as a problem...

120+mph limited, super sensitive steering, rearview mirror, some gauges doesn't work, the physics doesn't real itself. I know hood angle is easy for racing but it has never related to reality

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the FP view from time to time since I've gone to the next gen. I like the attention to detail R* put in the dashboard and lights etc, but I do miss the hood camera option. It was the closest you could get to fp before next gen released.

Without peripheral vision, it can be difficult to drive with the interior view, the hood cam made it a little easier, but it still felt just like you were really cruising those roads. You could actually go out for a cruise. I tried a motorcycle, but the view is focused more on your gauges and the road. You have to hold up a little on the right thumbstick in order to see any scenery, otherwise all you see is road. I'm not surprised they removed it when they put in the interior cam, but man, it'd be nice to have it as an option. How hard could it be? I miss cruisin'.

I've beat the game, now I spend my time role playing as a cop, and I was all for the cockpit view until i realized they took out the hood view, it made roll playing pretty fun in high speed chases. just my opinion, I hope they bring it back. I was ready to go buy a xbox one just for the cockpit view until i learned they took something away that i use all the time...

 

So no you're defiantly not the only one, as most of you know there's thousands of people like me who like to EMS role play and none of us liked loosing the hood view, I'm not the type to just take whats handed to me so I'll fight to bring it back... along with police missions! f*cking rock * monkeys call gta5 a predecessor but cant even bring back the side missions or give us a DLC. Another topic all in its own -_-

I'd imagine it would look more Dash-Cam like as well, having the hood/bonnet view.
