GTA V Next gen or Far Cry 4? which one will you buy?

GTA is the only game that matters to me, simple as that.

 

Ahh...stop lying! I mean like i understand loving GTA is common sense on these forums! But the only game??! REALLY??!...now that is some serious bull...

 

 

Why do you think it is bull? I only purchased gta for my ps3 and i will only purchase gta for my ps4.. I have other interests like photography etc This game is large enough, expands enough and keeps me occupied for my gaming needs. Exploring, Animals, Customization, Flying, Driving, Combat, Ocean, sky, city, countryside, mountains.. biking... humour.. missions.. social side of it gaming online... what other game do i need? I am more then content with GTA only.

I dont need to convince you of anything that is the way it is. I dont bother purchasing 10 games that i am never going to play. Sports games no thanks, Driving games? Gta is full of driving. Fantasy crap? Not remotely interested.. GTA fullfills any need i have in gaming. I have other hobbies if i am getting bored of playing. Its something i do instead of watching the modern day trash that is tv, Or if i just want to veg in solitude at night on the couch with some alcohol.. or if i have some free hours in between being self employed while everyone else i know is working. I put a lot of time into my dslr cameras & my huskies. I dont have any need for 272837272 games. Shocking to you maybe.. but it is what it is.

Ever considered that variety could be outside gaming? Outside the house even. Daring, I know. Sometimes you may want to read a book, make love to your girl (or boy), cook something fantastic and enjoy that with friends (food is the best multiplayer game...in the world). Go see an artist, you know, perform stuff on a stage like. Just take a walk with someone and have an actual conversation. Or create something, learn something.

 

And sometimes you're just tired from working all week and just want to stare at a dumb ass movie or talent show. Or rather just not stare at a computer screen like you do all week.

 

Money some people spend on games is ridiculous. I can drive a car and take an extra vacation somewhere interesting and warm on that.

I don't need as much games either! But having at least SOME alternative is a 100% must! Thats why i say i don't believe you and i still DO NOT believe you! Haha...you won't convince me you haven't got at least one or two more games in your possession as an alternative of GTA! The internet dwelling doesn't count sorry...

I'm busy replaying quite a few classics already. Not a fan of FC3, and find the original and FC2 amazing so I'd just go back and replay them than wasting money on FC4 which seems more or less a rehash.

No plans to buy anything new this year.

^^^ Back in 2008 i remember when i planned to go and buy a ps3 for gta iv (well of course for other games but mainly gta iv) but sadly that didn't happened until summer 2009 and gta iv was one of the first games which i bought

I have seen them of course and I claim to know what is meant by this thread. It's just that the majority here is excited for the currentgen version of GTA which coming to us in a couple of days which is also displayed by the poll.

 

I was mainly referring to the poll and believe that if you asked the same question on a Far Cry forum the results would have been the exact opposite from what is shown here right now. I didn't mean to offend anyone here.

Yep. I played ACU for two days and only had minor issues once I found out the issues are in the online part and went offline with it. Watch dogs was a bit of a borefest, but technically solid.

 

People have selective memories.

RDR launched with at least as many bugs and rockstar sure didn't have two patches for them within a week.

The framerate in GTA IV and V, Far Cry 3 and The Last of Us (to name a few) was worse than ACU is for me atm.

 

I'm not defending Ubisoft or their business practices but I feel the game is being unfairly panned for it. Or at least, other games and developers are given a pass. They still seriously need to reconsider their way of doing business. The micro transactions are insulting (to their own game mostly, I just ignore them) and no game should be released in this state, but that goes for rockstar just as much as for ubi or ea.
